Just like the Austin original! It's a typical coffeeshop scene: friends chatting, people reading, and a few students studying. The servers could have been a bit more friendly and efficient, but it was fine. And the drinks were good. read more

Seriously good coffee! Really friendly baristas so you never feel intimidated or like they're being patronizing if you don't know coffee. Even my Spanish boyfriend's parents were impressed by the coffee (and if Europeans are impressed by the espresso then you know it's definitely good)! Highly recommend this place! I just wish I lived closer and could come more often. read more

My friends and I stopped by here for a pit stop, and I tried a sip of their iced coffee but my friend that ordered it is allergic to gluten and lactose, so she didn't add anything to it. I'm sure it would have tasted better made the way I preferred. The environment is so cute here! The entrance is very nice. There are numerous seating areas so it's a good place to bring friends, but I saw a lot of young-looking professionals hard at work on their laptops, so I assume it's typically a quiet environment and that they offer free wifi. Would love to come back and try their coffee with some added sugar! read more

Warm ambiance with a helpful staff. I came with a semi large party (12 people and 2 babies.) We were able to fit into a little section and sit comfortably. I was able to witness them help other patrons as well since I was sitting right next to them. The coffee is exception. Service was quick and all orders were correct. Definitely try it out for yourself. read more

I've been coming here a few times already since my Mother lives in this neighborhood. I'm so glad that I've decided to come...especially since they are one of the few shops in Dallas that actually knows how to do a good Americano. A simple coffee drink...but, it's so easy to mess up if you don't know what you're doing. The Baristas are very knowledgeable of coffee, and have pride in what they're doing. So, if you don't mind paying for high quality coffee. Then, this is the spot!!! read more

I think this is hipster heaven for Lower Greenville. There are a variety of seating options. Picture that scene in Knocked Up where Seth Rogen eats the shrooms with Paul Rudd before the Cirque de Soleil performance. I got this Japanese cold brewed coffee. This is probably the best cold brew I've had. It was an interesting tang to it without being very bitter. The staff was very friendly. It's a great place to hang out and work either on their patio or inside. read more

I love this place. It's one of my favorite coffee shops I've ever been to. It's adorable and the people are nice. The atmosphere was perfect. read more

Houndstooth Coffee - Spanish Americano - espresso & half the water as an Americano - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Dallas, Texas

Houndstooth Coffee descended upon Dallas a while back, but they are undoubtedly building up not only a cult following, but a city following. Long has Knox-Henderson been the place to eat uppity food, drink craft beer, and set up shop at a local coffee shop. But Houndstooth is taking the last aspect to a whole new level. The owners, who built their fortress in Austin first, hail from Dallas so they know the nuances of the city. And they know that die-hard coffee fans flock here from all over Dallas to say that they started their Saturday morning with an Ethiopian pour-over from the best roaster in Berkeley. Not much needs to be added on my end but that whenever I head up I-35 from Austin, I stop in Waco at Dichotomy, then pull off 75 once I hit Dallas, paying myself a visit to Houndstooth. Thanks for coming to town, HT. read more

Super fun people working there! They were very friendly and actually genuinely interested in hearing about me and my roommates day. They helped us decide what we wanted to drink and then greeted us on our way out as well. Great work vibes all around and will be returning again! read more

No complaints. Was only here once. It feels like a surf theme. Right? Got coffee and did some letter writing. read more

Coffee and customer service was great! Went to this coffee shop for the first time yesterday and was very pleased. My latte was made to perfection. They have great quality coffee and made my cup at the perfect temperature. If this shop were closer to my home, I would choose to get my coffee here instead of Starbucks. This place also has plenty of room for studying. I love the super chill ambiance here. read more

Quaint coffee bar located on southern Henderson. Inside community style seating with nice outdoor patio and bar area. Coffee is dark, bitter, and fresh. Arrive early so you have the luxury to try the breakfast taco of your choice. We enjoyed the corn and bean options (no meat option available...boo). Corn was the favorite due to texture and flavor. Make sure you try the "green" salsa as it screams of garlic and roasted jalapeños (reminds of an off menu size available at taco diner). The tortillas are quite the gummy vehicle encasing the eggs and vegetables which I liken to cookie dough texture....love this. We will come back read more

Cute coffee shop! Love the vanilla latte! The employees were very nice and even held a conversation with us. Great coffee shop. Especially if you need to study. read more

Decent spot if you're looking for your caffeine fix. I enjoy the different types of espresso they bring in, and location is great. A little to be desired on the food side but it is a coffee shop, not a restaurant, and I can understand focusing on what you do best. Get rid of the below average soggy tacodeli tacos. read more

Cool little spot! Smooth tasting latte, quick service and friendly staff. A tad pricey though- $10 for 2 small lattes... They did have some cool coasters for sale to support a little school in Lebanon so I bought some and the girl at the counter seemed genuinely touched by my donation. read more

Friendly service and comfortable atmosphere...I had a cortado that was flavorful, but next time I need to ask for it extra hot.

This area is so cool, I loved the energy of the employees and the great flavor of their coffee. My only down grade could be that the need to add sweeter and pastries to the menu but other than that the place is great. read more

Harkens back to Austin. Choice of more than one espresso. Coffee was smooth although the bean I selected was a little more citrusy than I prefer. My drink of choice is a cortado. They have it on the menu. Swell. Many places don't. Barista was friendly. Prices slightly high. $4+ read more

I visited this coffee shop earlier today for the first time. I love finding new coffee shops and experiencing their unique creations. I honestly enjoyed this experience. Some people go in search of the perfect wine, the prefect food or the perfect sweet treat, I love looking for wonderful coffee spots that excel beyond the typical coffee chain. This was an awesome experience and will definitely go back! LOVED IT! read more

Houndstooth Coffee - Breve extra hot cappuccino with beautiful art! Made to perfection. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Dallas, Texas

The world is full of pretentious overpriced coffee shops serving acidic water....this has a cool look, workers were friendly, prices weren't cheap but location would never allow for it. Unfortunately, if you're looking for a great cup of earthy goodness, they missed the mark. $4 pour over was actually a little too watery and tannic. Blech...latte wasn't too sweet but uneventful...again, it lacked the earthiness of rich lightly roasted bean. read more

This place has such a fun vibe!! It's from Austin & I love how you feel like you've popped down for a weekend away. The drinks menu is somewhat limited but perfect for a coffee lover. And the flavor is on point. My only complaint is that the seating isn't very comfortable. read more

Nice, chill place for a day of studying. The music, however, was a bit loud and distracting for my taste since I like to listen to my own music & had to complete an online lecture. Last time I came, I had a Japanese iced coffee which seemed a bit pricey for what it was. However I enjoyed the general daily roast they had. read more

Baristas are sweet. I had my usual iced toddy with vanilla and cream. Was not disappointed. This place definitely makes me feel like I am in Austin again. Great ambiance. I love the the way the exterior appears. Nothing but good vibes here! read more

A wonderful coffee shop in Lower Greenville. Parking is limited. There is a lot nearby but if that's full, you kind of just have to hope that there are additional parking on the side of the road. I loved the vibe here. It's a perfect spot to catch up with friends or to study. Seating is limited, there are large communal tables in the middle where you share with others and of course no one minds. Sometimes it does get frustrating when you are there studying and the person next to you is there to chat. But you can't complain since that's what coffee shops are for. Walking in, we were greeted by the friendliest baristas. I ended up getting the iced vanilla latte. It was good but definitely overpriced. Their cups are plain, no special labels or anything. The music was great as well. I could have just gotten lucky on that day but I'm going to assume they play great music always. The only downside is the uncomfortable seats. No cushions, no backseats. Just a wooden stool. I definitely enjoyed my study session here but I quickly went home when a family sat down next to me and started their loud conversation. Definitely a spot you should hit up if you're in the area. I would come back to meet up with a friend or two but I wouldn't highly recommend this place as a place to get your study groove on. read more

Good coffee but way overpriced. A cortado for $4.60 is a bit too much. Then a kid's hot chocolate for $3.90... not even on a medium cup. Not coming back. read more

I don't know dude (while having been to the other location near Taco Deli and liking that experience) when I visited Houndstooth off Henderson a couple weeks ago it was SO weird - packed but no one was making a sound. I seriously felt like I was in a production, someone said "quiet on set" but I walked in after and had missed that part. In wanting to try out a local coffee shop as there aren't many off Knox/Henderson I (almost literally) had to drag my boyfriend and from the uber limited menu to the weird vibe don't think he'll be back. As we brought our dog we had to sit outside - there was a make shift Tupperware water bowl (which we were grateful for) but with all of the other pet friendly businesses near by found it odd all they had was this. Along with that the entire front patio desperately need to be sanded down, repainted and just checked for splinters as it's kinda falling apart and sketchy. Not sure what's up as the other location is awesome - please make this one just as good! read more

Love, love love the coffee. They have special house blends that have very unique tastes. Coming from Los Angeles I've had a decent number of run ins with local coffee shops and I can say this is a must visit for anyone who loves coffee. The place is small and subtle, very very quiet, like library quiet so if you're trying to do work or study its perfect. They also have an outdoor patio so you are not constricted to the inside. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it feels like a hardcore hipster hangout. Other then that great coffee! Highly recommended. read more

Baristas were great...granted every request w a smile, great coffee, great vibe, nice customers, comfy - recommend highly!

Best espresso in town, no argument. I was a barista for 7 years & there is just no comparison to any other coffee shop in Dallas. Plus the baristas are friendly & obviously know what they're doing. Not to mention they are working on a top of the line espresso machine. However, I do wish the atmosphere was better for hanging out with friends. It's definitely great for bringing a book or working on your laptop, but you have to go outside to feel comfortable chit chatting for surr. read more

OMG the best place like ever great customer service and a great vibe definitely going back.

Great atmosphere. Interesting/hipster/intellectual clientele. Great guest coffees and quite a bit of a selection. The service is great and the baristas always are genuinely friendly and relaxed. Unfortunately the drinks are quite pricey. Almost worth it, but pricey. All of the electrical outlets are in one corner of the cafe (which is not super convenient). read more

It was 9:00 am on a Sunday morning, and there was a small line forming at the coffee ordering counter. A cheerful man took my order promtly, "It's my first time here, and I'd like a coffee. What do you suggest?". The man thought for a moment, and then suggested a wonderful cup of the house blend coffee. I wanted some breakfast to accompany, but they didn't have anything for people with food allergies (which is fine, no offense taken). I ordered a large house brewed coffee with almond milk and settled right into reading a good book. The atmosphere is modern, the chairs were more stiff than I like sitting on for hours (I was on an iron barstool), but nevertheless, it was very aurally and aesthetically pleasing. This was a wonderful, quiet little Sunday morning adventure, and the next time I'm in Dallas, I'll have to bring my friends! read more
