The hotel recommended Houlihan's. We were seated very quickly and had a server take our drink orders and then our food orders. Received the beer but not the iced tea. Never saw the server again other than when he walked past. We were there nearly an hour and never did receive food. After finally getting his attention to ask where our salads were (no cooking required, so how long does it take to get a salad?), he went to the back of the kitchen and came back with who was apparently a manager. We told him we were not waiting any longer for food but would pay for the beer. The manager did cover the beer. Very disappointed. read more

Stopped in on a business trip. Was at the attached Hilton hotel. Quality of food was just horrible. Ordered the pot roast. Thats not real meat, texture is all wrong, in looks like plastic. Did not even pull apart like pot roast or with the grain. 100% fake so I decided to order a caeser salad since I could not eat the pot roast. Lettuce was old, wilted, lots of brown spots. I was craving a French baked onion soup so I called about 10 restaurants in town until this place said that they have it on the menu but they don't open until 4pm, dam it's only noon now. The place looks like a chain restaurant that's that's a little up scale with nice wood and brick interior. They have a nice big bar and tables and booths to sit at. The place is in the casino area but not in the casino itself but next door to it. I was seated and given a menu right away and I ordered just the baked French onion soup and my server was like that's all, no drink or anything else and I said yes I'm having a craving just for soup. My French baked onion soup came fast and it looked good with cheese melted down the cup. The soup was filled with a nice amount of melted cheese but it was average. The broth didn't have a great depth of flavor I thought from my first spoonful. I was all I could find and it did fill my crave but it's not the best example of baked French onion soup that I have had. read more

Visited about a week ago and The food was amazing, everything was juicy and flavorful, we ate so much our stomachs hurt till the next day. We got the mini sliders appetizers and they were so juicy would eat them 100 times again. For my meal I got the French onion soup and house salad they were both very good. My finance got the French dip and pot roast they were also really good. The only thing bad was our service was a little bad, our waiter didn't pay much attention to us and we waited 15 minutes for the bill. The food was super yummy and the wait staff was great. The host had a real attitude but it was a very short interaction. She has red glasses so I will forever remember her. I had a chicken stuffed with cream cheese and it was so good. My partner had a grilled chicken salad and they liked it. We did have the lettuce wraps and they were very good too. This location was connected to my hotel and was by far the best Houlihan's experience yet. Food was extremely fresh and the service was very good especially as busy as they were. The chicken strips were juicy, fries well seasoned and cooked just right. The fish was a huge chunk of cod and the homemade tartar sauce I would consider using as a condiment for a variety of things. My parents had dinner plans here for their 30th wedding anniversary, I live in New York & wanted to surprise them by taking care of their bill. They were a big help guiding me online to purchase an electronic gift certificate & allowing me to email it to them so they could surprise my parents. Be sure to order them cooked medium well or you will get one that's borderline rare. We had sweet potato fries with horseradish sauce. Order those for sure! They were thin and crispy, seasoned well. The sauce was phenomenal. Came back later and ordered chicken sandwiches and sweet potato fries to go. Carry out was so slow. We waited almost 40 minutes for that simple order. I didn't have high expectations for Houlihan's. I expected another Applebee's/Ground Round, casual-dining, throw-the-kitchen-sink-on-the-wall kinda place. Wrong! It *is* casual dining, but the decor is classier and the menu more adventurous. The main dining room is finished in dark wood with ambient lighting from blown-glass light fixtures, and there are framed Art Deco posters on the wall, not movie stills from the Wizard of Oz and what have you. The menu items don't stray too far from steaks, sandwiches, and salads, but with a twist. Goat cheese bruschetta, for example. Mmmm. Presentation is also well done - salads are cone-shaped and the ingredients form discrete layers, like an illustration from a geology textbook! Everything I tried was delicious - especially the salad (which is saying something!) I've heard people complain about the prices, but they're no higher than Applebee's. Perhaps folks just don't like restaurants taking liberties with their favorite meals - who knows. I love it, and based on the crowd, it appears that a lot of other people do, too. read more

Look out for this place!! They have a 15 minute guarantee on luncheon specials. Alas, they don't honor it. We ordered potato soup and a salad. The soup, which was quite good, came out in five minutes. After 18 minutes I went to the kitchen counter where it became clear that our waitress hadn't put in our salad order. Shortly thereafter someone came to our table and told us that we had to alert them before the fact to activate their 15 minute guarantee. To be honest, my most recent trip to Houlihan's convinced me that it is essentially an Applebee's for those who wish to be highbrow. There is nothing horrible about it, but nothing that makes it stand out, either. One some level you are left with the impression that you wish it was about $3 per entree, if that they at least gave you more of what you ordered. To be honest, the food is good to pretty good (I certainly prefer it to Star, which I realize is pretty slight praise). I've never left angry, but I've also never left full. And call me nuts, but if I drop $35 (two drinks, and appetizer and an entree) on dinner, I think I should leave having consumed a bit more food. I was impressed with their menu. I haven't been to a Houlihan's in years, but always remember it as decent bar food. Well, they have turned it up a notch. Impressed to see some keto / carb friendly menu options for once! (Butternut squash lasagna, zucchini pesto salad and sweet potato linguine!). Everything started out fine the mushrooms for an appetizer were great! Meals were ordered and came out in about 45 minutes. The chicken parmigiana was cold, the chicken breasts were both burnt and extremely tough. The server came back after about 10 minutes and I explained the issue. What's most interesting is they were less busy than any other Houlihan's I've ever been to and they had several open seats. This is me and my fiance's favorite restaurant. We were waiting for it to reopen after COVID shut it down. Some changes have been made to the menu. They removed the Calamari and Ahi Tuna from the menu. They also removed the option to have sweet potato fries with your sandwich. We tried their Famous 'Shrooms and the Firecracker shrimp. It was really really good. The waiter Danny is our favorite waiter. The Sailor Jerry L.I.Ts are delicious. We still love this place and we will be back and glad they are back open. read more

I just had the worst French Dip I have ever had in my 60 plus years. The first time they brought the food, everything was room temperature. The butter on the potato wouldn't even melt. I sent it back and the rest of my party was almost finished by the time I was brought another French Dip meal that was lukewarm, not hot. Disappointed in the food here today. Middle of the week no one in site but one waiter who halfway through our meal needed to deliver a meal over to the hotel so we were left without service.
