An employee by the name of Darrin and a little girl (presumably his daughter) carried a dog in and was walking down the kitchen line near the grill and all the food in the kitchen while other employees approached and pet/held/played with the dog, knocking off fur onto everything around it. They then stood in the walkway to the bathroom petting the dog as customers were trying to get through. The manager let this go on! The dog was passed around by multiple employees who continued on with their day without washing their hands. This is wildly unacceptable and I will be contacting the health department. read more

Oh wow! This place has really changed since the last time I was here. Whenever I would come out from Orlando and visit Mom on the weekend, I would always make my way to Houligans for wings. Plenty of televisions to watch sports, and some of the best wings in town. Mom has since passed, and I do not get out to Ormond Beach that often. But making a last minute road trip on Saturday, I stopped in here for a late lunch. As I entered, I had to take a moment just to get re-oriented with the place. Houligans has since remodeled, and the bar area is much different than the days I came here. But the dining area and the sports related memorabilia that adorn the walls makes Houligans a great place for a relaxing meal with family, or to have a few beers while watching the sports action from plenty the several televisions throughout. Sit near the bar, and you can also get commentary from some patron giving his opinion on the Phillies signing Bryce Harper, Robert Kraft, and Tiger Woods. But being on yelp.com, I cannot repeat what he said about Kraft and Woods. Gotta keep it clean! Anyway, I decided on the American Classic Cheeseburger served with French fries and washed it down with a Daytona Beach Blonde Ale. The cheeseburger, cooked medium, was fantastic. And it is difficult to find Daytona Beach Blonde Ale on draft in Orlando, so it is nice to be able to order a local craft beer on draft. And Houligans has a nice offering. You can view the menu for craft beers on a few of the televisions located throughout the dining area. The service is friendly, and the dining area and bar is kept clean. Bathrooms are kept clean as well. And Houligans now has outside seating with a few television screens for sports viewing. Something they did not have on my last visit years ago. But hopefully, my next visit will be soon. And I'll order up some wings. The Wally Wings are always good. I just wish Lori was still here serving those wings. read more

The wait is always long at the togo counter outside, today I waited almost 10 minutes to be greeted and waited 20 minutes past my pick up time for my order. Its extremely hot outside and if it is going to be a long wait time you should offer people to move inside. I placed my order at 10:45am to give a little bit of a heads up for an order of 8 meals. My favorite bar/pub place to eat! The girls are cute, the wings are FANTASTIC, and we have never had a bad experience. I'm really critical about sports bars because there all the same it seems but this brand is above all the rest when it comes to food! There a little high on pricing with some things and there menu is a tad bit limited, however everything they have is usually very good. We visited Ormond Beach for vacay and found Houligans because we wanted to play NTN trivia. Great layout, great set-up. We were able to sit on the patio and play trivia and have a few buckets of beer. VERY helpful and friendly staff. I was happily impressed since customer service is pretty crappy these days. So it's bike week, me and the lady friend have been wandering round, roasting in the sun, drinking unfortunately cheap yet expensive beer from a can, and just ready for some delicious food in a relaxed and air conditioned sports bar with good TV action and even better chicken wings... Luckily this was a local haunt for Kelly H and she knew exactly where to take us and what to order which was the chicken wings done "Wally's way" and I'm thinking why screw with good ol fashioned crispy buffalo wings and blue cheese... As usual Kelly was right, ordered the wings extra crispy Wally's Way and was surely not disappointed!! I ordered the wings extra crispy, and the wings came out crispy, and cooked on the grill. They were delicious with the fried crispy taste and a bit of the grilled char taste... what a great combo!! I was a bit disappointed with their sauces because the hot which i requested on the side (since I never like the wings soggy) which was advertised as more of a medium was very peppery and didn't have much of the buttery buffalo flavor I was expecting. The mild to me was more of a medium and still on the peppery side and lacking that buffalo flavor. I was blessed enough to try Kelly H's order which was the the wings done Wally's Way but she ordered them with the garlic sauce after they fry them and before they are grilled... They were out of this world delicious! Should have listened to her and just, "had was she was having"... Our server was always prompt with service refilling drinks, and swapping sauces around and the atmosphere was perfect relaxed sports bar atmosphere with plenty to watch on the TV. Stopped here to eat during Biketober fest with 4 friends. We were placing order when one of our friends comes back to table from restroom and stopped us. One of the employees (male) came out of the bathroom stall and went right back to work without washing his hands!!! The manager then tries to tell us it was another manager, then it's not someone who works there! I guess he just happened to have there uniform on. Gross just gross!!! read more

This was our first time eating at Houligans and we were not impressed at all. We ordered online and typed a couple of specific directions (no salt on the fries, BBQ on the side for my mom's burger), but not a difficult order. Not one of our orders was correct. I ordered the kids sliders with seasoned fries and a house salad. I did not receive any fries and there was no dressing for my salad. My husband ordered a burger, seasoned fries, and a house salad, but received regular fries and the burger was overcooked and dry. My mom ordered a burger and regular fries but received seasoned fries. With an online takeout order, there really is no excuse for getting the order wrong; it's all in writing. This place was good a while ago. Where do I start with tonight's "dining experience"? The "dinner salad" my wife got had old decrepit lettuce, tomatoes not cut up, and crouton. The burger I ordered medium was well done, had no tomato, or onion. The piece of lettuce was so bad I would not feed it as hog food. I asked for barbecue sauce and was brought Heinz 57. I asked for Ketchup that was never brought- I got it myself from a nearby table. I asked for Diet Coke and was brought water. The list just goes on about a place that before the pandemic was one of our favorite. We've lived in Ormond for over 20 years. We've been going to Houligans for the same. The last couple of years the wings have been so salty that they are hardly edible. Tried again tonight, no go!! We have expressed our concerns about this to management, they only say it's the new spices that are being used. I'm done, no more. I think it's an effort to sale more money making beverages, not delivering a Quality product, that Houligans has been famous for. This is by far my favorite place to get wings. I've searched high and low in Orlando, where I now live, to find wings that compare and it still hasn't happened. So every time I'm back in Ormond, I try to make it to Houligan's to get some wings! I always order the wings and fries. The wings are of course wally style (which means that they're put on the grill after they've been made for a finishing touch of deliciousness) I usually go for the Mild or Teriyaki or a mix of the two sauces if I can't decide. The seasoned fries are really good and always cooked nice and golden brown, which means they aren't soggy! They have tons of TVs, so if you're looking to go out and watch a game, this is the place to go. The staff has always been friendly and I don't think I've ever really had bad service here. read more

Always an excellent choice. The Wally Wings are out of this world. The restaurant was extremely clean. They did away with leaving anything on the table and switched to disposable menus. As visitors from Miami we didn't know many places around Ormond Beach. We were looking for a place with good fries and wings and that's exactly what we found. The food was delicious, the server was attentive and the place was clean. We went for lunchtime on a Saturday and it was a little busy but we were able to find a seat right away.
