While we did explore searching for samples at several locations, the final decision was made to purchase from Ballston Carpet and Tile because we had narrowed down our possible choices to three - all of which were sold by BC&T. We were very pleased with Craig who assisted my wife in understanding the differences in the fabrics, their wearability, the anticipated delivery times, and who tolerated our slow decision making and the amount of time we held samples at home trying to make a final decision. Craig also kept us apprised of the manufacture's production schedule. The fellow who came to the house to determine the measurements was not only friendly, but also very knowledgeable and willing to share his knowledge regarding proper installation methods and wear. With his input we were able to arrange to include two scatter rugs from the same bolt of carpet to be ordered. Finally, the installer, Justin, was friendly, and did a very professional job of removing the old carpeting and installing the new carpeting. We are very happy that we chose Ballston Carpet and Tile to do this project and have no reservations with recommending them to others.

I got my samples quickly, and from sample to custom cut to installation was only a few weeks, maybe less. I haven't had the best luck with home improvement people but I would 100% use these guys again.

Recently we went back for another purchase. Paul was off that day so we ended up working with a sales representative by the name of Corliss and another employee (whose name I wish I could remember). That employee is the one that handles all of their cutting and binding. These two folks we extremely helpful and actually unrolled several types of carpet so we could get a better look at it. The binding fellow actually spent a considerable amount of time with us explaining different types of binding material and showing us different contrasting colors to go with the carpet we ended up selecting. It was actually very close to the end of his shift but he actually said he would stay late to be able to cut and bind our carpet while we waited so we would not have to make a second trip for a pickup. We highly recommend this business for their tremendous selection of carpeting and also for their absolutely outstanding customer service. They clearly want to be sure they have satisfied and, hopefully, return customers. Don't hesitate to give them a try.

My wife and I are looking for new flooring for our kitchen. We have been to some of the large big…read morebox stores and also looked online, but it can be an overwhelming and frustrating experience. Sometimes we want to ask questions but finding an employee was difficult, and other times we just want to be left alone to look around. This place offered both, along with many selections of different types of flooring. Yes, it is a warehouse inside so some things seemed jumbled around. But, the salesperson (Paul) was extremely helpful in explaining to us some of the options available and differences in product lines. We haven't bought anything yet (and they work on commission) but he seemed happy to just help us out whether we made a purchase or not. Once we know for sure what we want, we likely will be coming back here.

They arrived on time, got right to work and were professional throughout. I also interacted with Molly in the office who was also fantastic. I know people have had good experiences with Terry's Floors but I guess it depends on what the…read moreproject is. He botched our floor drastically laying LVP. The LVP was to cover both a previously carpeted room and adjoining hardwood areas causing height differentiations. He applied floor patch to transition BUT not nearly enough to make the entire area level causing very noticeable ramps and valleys in 4 places . We informed Terry's Floors and had to wait almost 2 incredibly stressful weeks for them to come back and tear out the entire floor (including the floor patch which sets to a concrete-like hardness) causing damage to some walls . Because they had to remove the 1/4 round molding, the baseboard which was NOT affected in the original install was marred and will need repair. We were then given an additional invoice instead of receiving damages for their mistake and no consideration for the additional time or stress was given. There was also damage done to 3 items of furniture during the initial installation which they refused to acknowledge. We have since found out from the LVP Manufacturer that the way it was initially installed totally nullified the Warranty.
