My experience is yet another example of their blatant disregard for decency: me and my wife were slapped with a bogus enrollment fee when we downgraded our memberships this is a transparent scam to pad their quotas. My contract makes no mention of these fabricated fees, and the email I received was worded like I was a new member. This is deception, plain and simple. Legally, all fees must be explicitly spelled out in the contract, but EOS chooses to operate in the shadows, relying on misinformation & intimidation. We go to the EOS Gym at 22314 FM 529 in Cypress, TX began 2/26/25, it's clear they thrive on squeezing every dollar from members through whatever underhanded tactic they can get away with. Their General Manager of Sales, Jerimiah, couldn't even be bothered to address my wife's first attempt to downgrade he dismissed her outright, hiding behind an excuse about testing an employee asking her to come back another day. When she returned on 8/31/26, to downgrade, she was told a $49 downgrade fee would be applied ($53.04 with tax), which isn't in our contract. When asked for clarification, he replied, "That's the way we do it here." This is predatory, unapologetic, is infuriating. Jerimiah didn't even know what card was on file. This gym treats its members like prey, not customers. Later that day I noticed a charge on my credit card ending in 0381 for my wife's downgrade. This is outright incompetence or worse, deliberate fraud, since she pays for both memberships with her card. How can he charge my card without authorization. This circus of errors & deceit is what EOS represents. Their reputation for shady, dishonest practices is well-earned. Anyone considering this gym should be warned: EOS will do whatever it takes to extract more money from you, no matter how unethical.

Before I signed up we went over my goals and struggles in detail. I was told what to expect and what will be expected from me. CrossFit sounds really intimidating for somebody who hasn't been physically active in a long time, but I received all the information I need to succeed. From the day one every time I walk through their door I am being greeted by name. Coaches follow up on my progress, and always encourage me to push myself. I was waiting for a machine and had already waited through two rounds of people. When I went to sit down, a trainer named Benjamin literally put his hands up in my face and motioned for me to move. He wasn't even using the machine--he was training a client nearby and apparently wanted it for his client. He did this right in front of the person he was training, which was incredibly embarrassing and humiliating. I was so shocked in the moment that I got up rather than cause a scene. Afterward, I emailed management and then went to the front desk and canceled my membership. I explained what happened to the manager, Andrea, and was shocked by how little concern she seemed to have for the situation. I had prepaid for a year and still had six months remaining, so I asked for a refund of the unused portion. I was told no. Andrea said she would speak with her managers and Benjamin. Two days later, she finally contacted me and said there was nothing they could--or would--do. After being a loyal paying customer for years, this was an incredibly disappointing way to be treated. Trainers do not own the equipment, and wearing a Crunch shirt does not give them the right to "shoo" paying members away from machines they are waiting to use. The way I was treated by the trainer was bad enough. The complete lack of concern from management made it even worse.

April was our instructor and we had a small class of 4 people. Classes are held in the pool. I was a little scared of falling in the water and everyone did at one point but we mostly stayed on the boards doing the various yoga poses. The class was about 50 minutes long and very well worth the cost of 45.00. We were able to tighten the tether to keep the boards from shifting so much during class. They offer other dates and times and also Pilates.

A staff member named Keith came over and, instead of calmly explaining any concern, shouted at me from across the courts and threatened to kick me out if I did not move it within ten seconds, even though I have brought this same equipment in before with no issue and was not aware of any policy against it. There was no attempt to explain things professionally, just ultimatums. I filed a formal complaint with management, but I think other members should know this happened, since I do not think this reflects how staff should treat paying customers.

There was another person swimming but the man present didn't like women or I don't know but he told me "it's closed" and didn't give me an explanation. I question and shared how I REALLY need to stretch I'm in pain and it's supposed to be open another 40 minutes on schedule and there is clearly another person swimming in front of us, so how can it be closed? He just yelled at me and still didn't tell me why. I have no idea who or why he was there. Cane other days when pool was support he open and they had signs saying closed" when it was supposed to be open. They don't really have a good amount of machines other than tons of treadmills compared to LA fitness. And as others mentioned they stay broken a long time. But I need to work my back and don't use free weights. The hot sauna was broken for MONTHS! And was so unclean inside. I couldn't believe I had been sitting in there. But I'm sure it was due to the lady exfoliating herself and no one cleaning it! It makes me want to vomit thinking of it. I wanted a water yoga class but they didn't have evening classes for me. Only during the day when I couldn't go. For a large expensive place it makes no sense they could not hire for evening classes. Kids area-while I don't trust anyone to watch my kids personally, my best friend had a terrible experience there. Other kids would bully her kids and staff didn't seem to care. She could only take her kids a set limited time during the day so too bad if you can't make that block of time despite the fact you pay twice as much to bring kids you can literally only go when they say you can because pools and splash pads for kids aren't open or are closed constantly. The last straw was her son was arguing with his sibling as siblings do, but it was handled terribly. Instead of going to get her if there was indeed a problem , the staff dragged him down the hallway and when he thought he was out of sight, she saw him throw him on the ground. She happened to have come down for pick up at the time and was following them wondering why he had her son down a secluded hallway alone, He didn't apologize or anything. Terrible way of handling a child.
