We realized our A/C was having an issue late on Friday afternoon on a day with temps above 90, and…read moreCanada wildfires causing extremely bad air quality (so, could not really open windows to get airflow). Carmen asked if we needed him that evening, but we said we had some fans and would be fine overnight. He was at our house at a little after 9:00am on Saturday and had us up and running in a few minutes (it took longer to Venmo the fee!). And the fee (including part) was roughly half of what another "24/7" company was charging just to show up on a Saturday. If you have A/C issues, I highly recommend Carmen and Air Solutions LLC!

You call and he says "Hello", no company name or anything. I started to try to tell him what I wanted and he interrupted to ask me where I was. When I told him, he says "Oh, that's about a 1/2 hour away, right. Well, we're really slammed, I'm booking appts in October (it's 9/25), and I've got 6 installs scheduled. Take a picture of the inverter with the model and serial number, and I'll give you a call back this afternoon when I have my schedule, I'm on a job right now." I did so, with model numbers for all the new equipment. I never heard back. I'm seeing all the great reviews, which prompted me to call them, but they're "really slammed". It's just two guys with a truck and a cell phone. Apparently they're real good, but good luck getting them out to your place.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are overpriced and want to sell you on work that does not need to be…read moredone. Expect to devote your entire day to any routine maintenance visit or small repair. Within a 4 hour appointment window, your technician will show up MAYBE 30 minutes before the window closes, or it might be after. Your technician will then take 4 hours to do whatever it is they're supposed to do. And during my final appointment FOREVER with this company, I think I finally figured out why that is: Here's an AirServ appointment. I was told that a blower component in my attic AC unit would cost would cost $466 to clean. My appointment was 8-12. The tech arrived at 11:12 AM. approx 2 hours later, I went to check on the tech and heard laughter and chatting in my attic. So, THAT'S why it takes them 4 hours: they're scrolling on TikTok and chatting up their friends. After I called up to the tech, shortly afterwards, I watched the tech bring the part down to "clean" it in my driveway with my garden hose. Bright sparkling metal. If there was a mote of dust on that part, I didn't see it. I stood and watched as the tech rinsed it with my garden hose, sprayed some prepared solution from a pump bottle, and scrubbed it with a PAINT BRUSH. Rinse. Total time: 5 minutes. Looked exactly the same after the tech was done. Roughly a half hour later, the tech told me there was yet another hour ahead for reinstallment. At 3:27 PM, my AC unit was broken and the tech had requested another tech to be sent. The tech told me I'd receive a call from AireServ. A half hour later, still no call. I called them. I was told the tech would be there shortly. At 5:34pm their "Neighborly" tracker said he'd arrived. He'd already called and said he was 15 min away. At 5:56pm he arrived. It took him 30 minutes to finalize the maintenance-turned-repair, but I was at the attic opening the entire time. Total time start to finish: 10.5 hours. How much is YOUR time worth? I just paid AirServe $466 to ruin my ENTIRE day.

I had a really bad experience with Kenny but this is meant as an honest assessment and not a hit…read morepiece so I'll start with the one positive thing: I called him close to midnight, he picked up, and made it out to our house the next morning. From there, things took a turn. He told me that a mouse had shorted the circuit board, that the furnace was shot, and that the heat exchanger was cracked and risked leaking carbon monoxide. He quickly put together an estimate for about $7K for a total replacement. I asked him for pictures from the scope that showed the cracks in the heat exchanger and he didn't respond. I had two other HVAC guys come for a second and third opinion. Both of them said that a) Kenny left the dead mouse; b) the circuit board fix was simple; and c) they could see no evidence that the furnace was shot or that there was any cracking in the heat exchanger. I brought this information to Kenny and he said "they're lying." The fix ended up costing me $180, about $100 less than Kenny charged me for the assessment, and now the system is working great. And... the guy who fixed it removed the mouse. I'm not going to make any definitive character judgements, but in the discrepancy between Kenny's assessment and that of the other guys, I just don't see what motivation they would have to tell me that there wasn't a problem where they'd get paid a lot more if there was one -- particularly since I was already primed for a full replacement. I told Kenny that I wasn't happy with his service and asked that he just return the fee I paid him and he said he'd discuss it with his business partner. I never heard back and now he want return my texts or calls. Looking at other reviews around different corners of the internet, my experience seems to be shared by many. Needless to say, we have a great HVAC guy now and I wouldn't consider reaching out to Kenny again.
