This is the second time the company has done this - they quoted for example $2,600 and have you…read moresign blank screens without text above your signatures. They then send an invoice with the quoted amount - $2,600 and tell you you will receive the annual discount on that amount, bringing it down to $2,300. Later they charged the full price of $2,600 and state that the full amount already included the discount, even though the invoice shows no discount. They then send an updated invoice of $2,600 saying the discounted amount is already applied. After two times of doing this, I will not be working with this company again.

Do NOT use this company for New installs or service of any kind. Our smart system Hvac, Furnace and…read morethermostat was installed by them Dec. 2017. They serviced the cooling in 2019 and did not disclose upon our purchased in June of 2020. Our family and pets were having horrible nausea, headaches and called in Gordon May 2023 and he said there is a Freon leak and that his company serviced the system in 2019. He added more Freon even though we asked why a New unit would be leaking. He said he didn't know, but could check for $300 more dollars. He got it running and left after we paid $450 for service call without any diagnosis. Continued problems, so we called in another company for second opinion. The Freon Gordon added destroyed the havoc coil and compressor and filled our furnace eztrap with Freon and oil. That is what was making us sick. There is leak in the furnace evaporator coil where they retro fitted the drainage pipe. So the entire system inside and out has to be replaced. A $10k loss for us. Cool Techs takes no accountability and disregards the medical harm caused to us and our pets, let alone the fire hazard to us and the entire condo building. I will file a DPOR, BBB complaint and we will be filing court documents against this company. Hopefully, the State of Virginia will not allow this company to ever work here again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are overpriced and want to sell you on work that does not need to be…read moredone. Expect to devote your entire day to any routine maintenance visit or small repair. Within a 4 hour appointment window, your technician will show up MAYBE 30 minutes before the window closes, or it might be after. Your technician will then take 4 hours to do whatever it is they're supposed to do. And during my final appointment FOREVER with this company, I think I finally figured out why that is: Here's an AirServ appointment. I was told that a blower component in my attic AC unit would cost would cost $466 to clean. My appointment was 8-12. The tech arrived at 11:12 AM. approx 2 hours later, I went to check on the tech and heard laughter and chatting in my attic. So, THAT'S why it takes them 4 hours: they're scrolling on TikTok and chatting up their friends. After I called up to the tech, shortly afterwards, I watched the tech bring the part down to "clean" it in my driveway with my garden hose. Bright sparkling metal. If there was a mote of dust on that part, I didn't see it. I stood and watched as the tech rinsed it with my garden hose, sprayed some prepared solution from a pump bottle, and scrubbed it with a PAINT BRUSH. Rinse. Total time: 5 minutes. Looked exactly the same after the tech was done. Roughly a half hour later, the tech told me there was yet another hour ahead for reinstallment. At 3:27 PM, my AC unit was broken and the tech had requested another tech to be sent. The tech told me I'd receive a call from AireServ. A half hour later, still no call. I called them. I was told the tech would be there shortly. At 5:34pm their "Neighborly" tracker said he'd arrived. He'd already called and said he was 15 min away. At 5:56pm he arrived. It took him 30 minutes to finalize the maintenance-turned-repair, but I was at the attic opening the entire time. Total time start to finish: 10.5 hours. How much is YOUR time worth? I just paid AirServe $466 to ruin my ENTIRE day.

AllTech repair was fast, responsive, and offered a reasonably priced inspection and diagnostic fee…read more The technician arrived promptly and performed a thorough inspection. He identified some issues, but never told me what the required repairs would be. Then he told me that the repairs would cost us 75% of the cost of a new unit. He said that the AC unit needed to be replaced and possibly the air handler and even the water heater. This last recommendation made me skeptical. I asked for a quote on the repairs and separately on the cost of replacement. He said that replacement would require another 90 minute appointment; which I was not ready to commit too. I was expecting a quote and detailed listing of the repairs. We never received this quote. Based on the technician's description of the issues, my husband and I were able consider some potential repairs on our own. We made the repairs on our own (coil cleaning, capacitor replacement) and everything seems to be functioning well so far. My concern was that AllTech immediately jumps to a recommendation of replacement if a unit is older than 10 years. We never received a quote on the cost of repair. The repairs my husband and I made required roughly $30 worth of parts. I wish that AllTech would have provided the quote for repairs and not immediately jumped to the cost of an entirely new AC system. Also suggesting to replace the air handler and water heater was excessive.

He explained everything, fixed the problem, and made some sound recommendations. Thank you AllTech and thank you Kai.
