Fixed the ac long enough to get paid and get out of there. Within 2 hrs our ac was off again. He wanted me to make another appointment and charge me again for doing nothing no doubt. We struggled for a week pumping the pan out til a friend of mine that does HVAC came over and simply put a cap on the pvc pipe and everything worked fine since. The other HVAC guy said that this guy had to have removed the cap because the AC would not have worked for all the years we were here if that cap was not on. The pan would have kept filling with water. And once it fills so much it auto cuts off. Watch this one!! He will try to overcharge for sure!! Here is one for the books. We just got a call from the building inspector because someone reported a violation. Not going to say who it was but you get the picture. This guy is something else. Our review was 100% warranted. And look what happens when you tell the truth about his service! If you use him then you get what you get!!! The reason he comes out the same day is he has almost no business. With how we were treated and someone reporting us for a violation as retaliation to my honest opinion just shows you the type of person this guy is. I have lived in Stephens City since 1972 and will do everything in my power to warn others about this person. I am pretty sure he is a one man company so you are going to get him if you call. Tom has done several jobs for me over the last year, and I couldn't be happier with his services. He responds promptly, his work is impeccable, and he isn't like other contractors in the area, who will price gouge you, just because they can. The first time I had to use Frye's was due to an emergency with our downstairs furnace. Tom not only responded to my voicemail within minutes, he actually made time the same day to come out, assess the issue, go buy the parts, and come back to fix everything. Because of his professionalism on the first job, I hired him, again, over the summer to install a mini split in our added bonus room. This job took about 3 days to complete. But, the entire interaction with Tom and his crew was pleasant and professional. The equipment that was installed is working just as it should, and there were zero hidden fees or inflations on the job. Seriously, I've had the worst luck finding decent people in this area to do their jobs, without feeling the need to clean out my bank account in the process. You call and he says "Hello", no company name or anything. I started to try to tell him what I wanted and he interrupted to ask me where I was. When I told him, he says "Oh, that's about a 1/2 hour away, right. Well, we're really slammed, I'm booking appts in October (it's 9/25), and I've got 6 installs scheduled. Take a picture of the inverter with the model and serial number, and I'll give you a call back this afternoon when I have my schedule, I'm on a job right now." I did so, with model numbers for all the new equipment. I never heard back. I'm seeing all the great reviews, which prompted me to call them, but they're "really slammed". It's just two guys with a truck and a cell phone. Apparently they're real good, but good luck getting them out to your place.
