Considering a move tonight! Its location is THE only thing going for this place. It is OLD. It is not well maintained. Went to Walmart for a fan as its window unit wouldn't handle the 82 degree night heat. There was condensation dripping from the ceiling. There was no shampoo. No full shower door. Two towels. Rotten steps. Dirty porch. The room was small and the bathroom smaller. If asked to describe the place in five words: "It is old and overpriced."

Recently spent 3 nights at The Hemingway. The rooms are well designed and appointed. Location is good, except for the train that roars by early am and late on the daily. Room had an ice bucket but no ice? "The Inn's" coffee shop never opened for the 3 days of my stay. The real problem with this property,Hemingway, occurred on day 2 and 3 of my stay when it was impossible to enter the property. I, and others, were left standing for over 30 minutes while "management" tried to have "someone" come over and check why the keyless entry at the property's common, and only, entry point was inoperable!! I only got in because some other guest exited the entry point. This made my dinner reservation impossible to keep and there where NO alternatives open for dinner in town!!! The owners/managers made no real apology and of course no other accommodation was offered for this inexcusable situation. At these prices you would probably be better served staying at The Roost if you are determined to stay in Ocean Springs, at The Pearl in Bay St Louis, or The Grand Hotel in Fairhope, AL.

Locals at Lady May restaurant warned of "a lot of break-ins" at the hotel's parking structure. 14. A $40 charge for taking a run-of-the mill OS coffee cup home 15. Misleading description: "A small, 32-room boutique hotel." It is a one-year-old square, 3-story brick biking with no personality or amenities. 16. Not centrally located in the artsy and boutique section of touristy OS. 17. Expensive. Good points: 1. All staff friendly, courteous, likable, professional. 2. Bed/pillows wonderful. 3. Rain shower. I do not recommend OS Hotel. Check around.

There were many food options including a fantastic buffet. There is even a non-smoking portion of the casino. Island View is connected by an indoor pedestrian bridge to nonsmoking Beach View Casino which is on the beach. It is all one big resort. Island View is convenient to other Gulf Coast attractions. I love walking out to the beach and taking my daily walk for exercise from the resort. The rooms are nice. We did not win this trip, nor did we lose much. Better luck next time! We love traveling from San Diego to the Mississippi Gulf Coast at least once a year. Give it a try. You will love it!

I had a slice of lemon meringue pie and it was hot. I spoke with a manager to point out our displeasure and he told us he would address it. I told him it was unbelievable that their people would put this food out knowing how it was. The highlight was our server she did an excellent job so kudos to her. It'll definitely be a long time we before we return, we definitely like their Dock Side Deli restaurant. But my choices are limited due the fact I am in a wheelchair. I is extremely hard to find a B&B or cottages that are wheelchair accessible, almost never. But Government Street Cottages has a REAL WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE ROOM!!!!. It is wonderfully decorated as well. Parking is great. Large bathroom, plenty of room to maneuver. Roll-In Shower. We can't wait to go back for a few days to just get away again. And the location is just down the street from great shopping, dinning and entertainment. I would recommend to bring a cooler if you plan a long visit. It has a microwave and a small fridge as you would find in most hotels (only so much room). This would give you the option of storing more food related items and drinks, especially if you bring the kiddos. Cant wait to return. The rate was also very reasonable for the value. The configuration was perfect for having extended family visit with one side having a bed and bath separated by the living room and spacious kitchen, and a fold-out couch bed. The living space and master had sliding door view of the Mississippi Sound. Our visit duration was 6 weeks and we were impressed by the qualify of staff, ease of parking, George the owner is often on location and is helpful and engaging, and the gym/exercise room is well air-conditioned in the Spring/Summer (so appreciated, great equipment too). The location is ideal to the beach and nearby Gulfport, Biloxi, and only 15 min from Keesler Air Force Base. The condo has a washer and dryer. The kitchen has modern appliances and granite counter tops. The outdoor balcony is private yet spacious. Upon arrival my husband noticed the carpets needed professional cleaning and his request was completed right away. Staff was accessible to help with a request. We were on the 5th floor and the elevators are quick. The condo grounds and parking are monitored by security which requires a parking pass and electronic keys. If you forget your key, security staff will help identify you (Brad was awesome). Parking is easy, right beside the condo enclosed within the secure grounds. Legacy also offers an entertainment space, library, indoor pool, outdoor pool, sauna, & pool showers. My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Legacy Towers and highly recommend it.

Several lights were burnt out, the smoke detector was heavily discolored (likely from someone smoking in the unit previously), and the primary bathroom was not clean when we arrived. Make sure to bring extra towels if staying here, unless you want to wash towels every night. The worst part was finding dirty period underwear under one of the beds at checkout. I messaged the host during the stay about the fan issue and never received a reply. After returning home, I contacted the host again about all of these issues and the overall miserable experience we had, but I never received any follow‑up or any indication acknowledging these issues to be a problem. The entire stay was frustrating, unpleasant, and far below what guests should expect from a rental property.
