I wouldn't have known of this place without some good advice from a friend. Among other things, she said that it was comfortable and convenient, and she was right on both counts.
It's a short walk from the Piazza di Spagna Metro stop, and there are plenty of outstanding dining choices just outside your door. Via Delle Carrozze is closed to vehicle traffic which makes for a pretty relaxed atmosphere.
The room we had was surprisingly large. Considerably larger than many rooms throughout Europe. It was also spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was large as well.
The continental breakfast was marginal, but with so many places to eat nearby, it really didn't seem to matter that much. Still, if that's your intent for breakfast, you might be a bit disappointed.
The desk staff is very welcoming and helpful. I was feeling pretty ragged after the long flight and it must have shown because they asked if they could help and rounded me up some aspirin after telling them about my pounding head.
As I've mentioned, there are restaurants aplenty nearby (it is Rome after all). There is also some world class shopping just around the corner on Via Condotti. I mean high end fashion shopping. A good place to empty your wallet if that's what you're looking for.
The location really can't be beat, and their rates are extremely reasonable. I'll be back. read more
