Looking for the best hotel in Rome? Look no further, Hotel Navona is one of my FAVORITE hotels in Rome. The location is the BEST part of this hotel! Situated in the heart of the City center, Hotel Navona offers walking distance to all the touristy landmarks such as Vatican City, the Colosseum, Palazzo Navona, and many more attractions From the moment I walked in, we were greeted by the wonderful staff, Michele aka "Mike". A big THANK YOU to Mike for his stellar customer service, generosity and being so welcoming to us! My friend and I stayed on the second level and felt very safe and comfortable in our rooms. There is a hot breakfast that is made by the staff from 7AM-10AM'ish. The rooms were very clean and felt very homey. The beds were comfortable. The hotel offers many different rooms of your choice. I opted for a simple, double bedroom for my first two nights and then selected for the bathtub room during my last two nights in Rome, which I am so happy I did because the bathtub was a nice little treat after walking all over the City. The hotel also offers wine bottles in case you wanted to buy a bottle for your room. There is also a small kitchen in the case that you are hungry and need to cook your food. All the rooms offered A/C and heaters. There is an elevator in the case you are carrying large luggage. Also, housekeeping came every day to clean the room. Mike was nice enough to call Taxi services when we needed a ride around the City. If you are leaving for the Airport, the staff will arrange for you as well. Tons of bars and restaurants walking distance from the hotel. During my stay, I enjoyed going to the Lion's Restaurant next door. If you are to need recommendations, the staff are very knowledgeable and happy to provide recommendations nearby. During the night, the City comes to life! I found myself at the Piazza Navona having gelato and dinner. I certainly recommend browsing the area and checking it out in the day and night time. The hotel is very responsive if you email them. I can't say enough about this hotel. I fell in love with Hotel Navona and was so sad to leave! If you are looking for the best room to book, make sure you book room 219 with the jacuzzi tub! You won't regret it. I spent long nights enjoying the Jacuzzi tub and I am sure you will as well. I will also make Hotel Navona my go-to hotel when I stay in Rome!

This place is horrible, it's a complete and utter dump. The layout is awful the rooms are awful. The shower backed up which is gross, the shower didn't look like it's been cleaned in weeks or even between guests. The room floors were not clean. Should I go on or are we good? The toilet area was small and uncomfortable.

Great location and friendly service! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during our recent trip to Rome. We stayed in an economy room which was the only available room when I was doing the booking. The room was on the smaller size if you're used to big hotel rooms in the US but was decently sized compared to other hotels I've stayed in other parts of Europe. The room had enough space for 2 people to move around in comfortably. Check in was quick and easy and they even allowed us to check in 2 hours early without any additional charge. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The best part of the hotel is the location! It's in the middle of everything. My husband and I walked everywhere and the Colosseum and the Vatican are just 20-25 min walk away. Would definitely recommend if you want to be in a central location in Rome.

Bathroom was the only part of the room that was tight but perfect for one person at a time

April stay for our honeymoon and we could not be any more pleased! Booked through Hotels.com/Expedia (avg 160/night) and Check-in was seamless. There is also a nominal fee we paid (in euros) upon check in. There was always someone available at the front desk. We loved our room. There wasn't much of a view from the window, but it was nice to have the option for fresh air from our window. The check in desk was on the 2nd floor and the elevator was not working, but concierge helped with our luggage. Just be ready to walk up/down two short flights with your luggage. There was a beautiful courtyard when you entered the building, but not sure if this was open to guests. We were warned about small European rooms, but this room provided the perfect amount of space...not to mention we didn't come to Rome to spend all of our time in our hotel room. There's a small fridge to store any beverages you may have and TV (we had to adjust the settings to English CC) but don't expect many options. The location was perfect for us. We were walking distance from Piazza Navona where there a ton of restaurants. We spent one evening walking the small streets near our hotel and found more restaurants, small shops, and some bars. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is so beautiful and the staff are so welcoming they assist you all the way to your room, true hospitality! We were able to check in early which wasn't a problem at all the front desk gave us a map and explained everything we needed to know about how to get around, this hotel is in the center of it all no need for a car or bike just some tennis shoes... Definitely recommend this beautiful boutique hotel.

That made the location extremely convenient. The hotel sits a short walk from Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. Some areas near the main train station are often described as unsafe by Italian standards. We did not experience that near the hotel. Tourists and locals were out late, and the neighborhood stayed active into the evening. Rome is compact and easy to navigate. Most major attractions felt reachable within about 20 minutes by taxi, bus, or rail. We tried to visit the Trevi Fountain at 10:00 pm to avoid crowds. That plan failed completely(see pic). It was packed. Locals eat later than in the U.S., and many parts of the city stay busy well into the night. Restaurants remain open late. A note for U.S. travelers. European hotel rooms run smaller for the price. Even using Hilton points, our room would have cost close to $700 per night USD and felt small. The hotel offers a pleasant rooftop bar and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The buffet breakfast was a solid, comfortable way to start the day. It was included for us as Hilton Diamond members. I am unsure of the cash price. Overall, the location and amenities make this a smart pre-cruise choice, especially for travelers relying on rail connections.

The hotel called an ambulance which took me to the closest hospital and Armando from the staff walked to the hospital with my wife and daughter and accompanied them for over an hour helping to communicate with hospital personnel and didn't leave until he knew I was being cared for. After my hospital visit was over and we went back to the hotel the staff helped translate my order and prescriptions. They were so helpful with everything else. They gave us a very good walking map of Rome with highlighted routes, a list of restaurants that they recommended and we were not disappointed in any that we went to, they scheduled taxi pickups, had umbrellas for the rain a great breakfast with awesome cappuccino and lattes and a happy hour. The rooms are comfy and very clean, the shower water flow is unreal ( felt like I was standing under a water fall). The staff at this place and I mean every one of them made me feel so welcomed and went above and beyond to help us with our needs. If I ever make it back Rome this is the only place I want to stay!

However, it is quietly nestled in a beautiful little neighborhood. It is very quiet and quaint. Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. With the curtains open the natural light is perfect. The bed was comfortable and we Sisto very nicely here. The bathroom is very big with a walk in shower and bidet with all toiletries needed to have a comfortable stay. I will say I was a bit bummed that the tile warmer was not functional but the hotel was very kind offering anything to make sure that we were happy. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I would also note that the building is quite old and the bathroom had a metallic smell perhaps from the pipes of older plumbing but it was fine as long as we kept the bathroom door closed. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain. All details are thought of here including mini bar, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and a welcome gift. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always ensuring that we were comfortable and happy. We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is a special place and experience. The nostalgia of standing and staying where the Romans once stood 2000 years ago was definitely a treat! The hotel has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine in the evening. The lounge just inside of the terrace is cozy and comfortable to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening and there's a cozy fireplace to warm up, which we took full advantage of after a long wet rainy day in the colosseum and Roman forum. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special Roman experience. We will definitely be back!
