Our room was ready upon arrival. When we arrived, the room wreaked of cigarette smoke even though this hotel is smoke- free. After I spoke to the front desk staff, they replaced all sheets and towels and the room filter, which helped. We loved the location, we were able to walk to different places. Specially good price for last minute pick. The service was great, this hotel allows you to leave bags as long as you want in a day, before checking in to room or after check out with for us is a + since we got there 2 hours before our check in time and checked out 8 hours before our flight which allowed us to leave our bags and still explore the city! THE ROOMS HAVE A/C that works Only down side to it is if you're taller than 5'10 in our case, the roof was kind of short and so was the shower head. So any person taller than that might have trouble. Also someone walked in our room with a key so they need to make sure they don't give keys out to the same room to multiple people. And the beds were two twin size beds placed together so just fyi for couples. But over all the experience was pretty good for us so for us it was a 10! read more

Looking for the best hotel in Rome? Look no further, Hotel Navona is one of my FAVORITE hotels in Rome. The location is the BEST part of this hotel! Situated in the heart of the City center, Hotel Navona offers walking distance to all the touristy landmarks such as Vatican City, the Colosseum, Palazzo Navona, and many more attractions From the moment I walked in, we were greeted by the wonderful staff, Michele aka "Mike". A big THANK YOU to Mike for his stellar customer service, generosity and being so welcoming to us! My friend and I stayed on the second level and felt very safe and comfortable in our rooms. There is a hot breakfast that is made by the staff from 7AM-10AM'ish. The rooms were very clean and felt very homey. The beds were comfortable. The hotel offers many different rooms of your choice. I opted for a simple, double bedroom for my first two nights and then selected for the bathtub room during my last two nights in Rome, which I am so happy I did because the bathtub was a nice little treat after walking all over the City. The hotel also offers wine bottles in case you wanted to buy a bottle for your room. There is also a small kitchen in the case that you are hungry and need to cook your food. All the rooms offered A/C and heaters. There is an elevator in the case you are carrying large luggage. Also, housekeeping came every day to clean the room. Mike was nice enough to call Taxi services when we needed a ride around the City. If you are leaving for the Airport, the staff will arrange for you as well. Tons of bars and restaurants walking distance from the hotel. During my stay, I enjoyed going to the Lion's Restaurant next door. If you are to need recommendations, the staff are very knowledgeable and happy to provide recommendations nearby. During the night, the City comes to life! I found myself at the Piazza Navona having gelato and dinner. I certainly recommend browsing the area and checking it out in the day and night time. The hotel is very responsive if you email them. I can't say enough about this hotel. I fell in love with Hotel Navona and was so sad to leave! If you are looking for the best room to book, make sure you book room 219 with the jacuzzi tub! You won't regret it. I spent long nights enjoying the Jacuzzi tub and I am sure you will as well. I will also make Hotel Navona my go-to hotel when I stay in Rome! read more

This place is horrible, it's a complete and utter dump. The layout is awful the rooms are awful. The shower backed up which is gross, the shower didn't look like it's been cleaned in weeks or even between guests. The room floors were not clean. Should I go on or are we good? There are a few places in this neighborhood whose name is approximately "Hotel Navona" but this one is definitely the place that looks like a somewhat random assemblage of apartments in a somewhat random building on a side street reasonably close to Piazza Navona. If you are cool with a bit of a less luxurious feel - an entrance that requires walking up a few flights of stairs (or using a tiny retrofit elevator) and some tiny hallways, this place might be for you. We found it on TripAdvisor. The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable and directed us (through a winding passage) to our room. And the room was great. It looked every bit as cool as the photos. Modernist furniture and lighting design, with some seemingly hand painted ceiling work and exposed beams. It's not a huge hotel - in fact it seems to be a random combination of rooms at this address, in a couple different clusters - so I'm not sure how easy it is to get a room here. But I'd stay here again. read more

Great location and friendly service! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during our recent trip to Rome. We stayed in an economy room which was the only available room when I was doing the booking. The room was on the smaller size if you're used to big hotel rooms in the US but was decently sized compared to other hotels I've stayed in other parts of Europe. The room had enough space for 2 people to move around in comfortably. Check in was quick and easy and they even allowed us to check in 2 hours early without any additional charge. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The best part of the hotel is the location! It's in the middle of everything. My husband and I walked everywhere and the Colosseum and the Vatican are just 20-25 min walk away. Would definitely recommend if you want to be in a central location in Rome. read more

We stayed here on our visit to Rome in late September 2013. The hotel was very nice even compared to US standards, clean and professionally run. The rooms had beautiful linens and thankfully air-conditioning units! It was warm this time of year. You will learn when you stay in Rome that every hotel is 2 floors off the street. Beware of having heavy luggage! They do have a breakfast buffet, but you need to pay for it - around 15 Euro. All our other hotels in Italy provided free continental breakfast. The hotel is so centrally located - blocks from Pantheon, and Piazza Navona and Campo Di Fiore! And the icing on the cake is the famous Caffe Sant Eustachio is around the corner!! Love those espressos. Highly recommend this hotel. read more

What a wonderful quaint hotel! I am reviewing the one that says with Jacuzzi , 71 Piazza Di Pasquino, by the Roma Museum and one block from the Piazza Navona. Our hosts were friendly, helpful (even offering to take us to the airport. They sat and shared photos of their gardens and dogs with us and enjoyed talking with us about our visit. Free Breakfast was delicious across the street. Very clean and spotless, they even straightened our room when we didn't ask for it to be fixed. It's a safe location with delicious gelato restaurants around us. Easy location with quick walkable access to the Vatican and Trevi fountain and Colosseum. Even the simple things like bathroom soap were beautiful touches: pine scented soap, amazing shower. The building is from 1500's. Stairs are circular marble and steep but so beautiful! We are so glad to stay here and would stay here again. read more

April stay for our honeymoon and we could not be any more pleased! Booked through Hotels.com/Expedia (avg 160/night) and Check-in was seamless. There is also a nominal fee we paid (in euros) upon check in. There was always someone available at the front desk. We loved our room. There wasn't much of a view from the window, but it was nice to have the option for fresh air from our window. The check in desk was on the 2nd floor and the elevator was not working, but concierge helped with our luggage. Just be ready to walk up/down two short flights with your luggage. There was a beautiful courtyard when you entered the building, but not sure if this was open to guests. We were warned about small European rooms, but this room provided the perfect amount of space...not to mention we didn't come to Rome to spend all of our time in our hotel room. There's a small fridge to store any beverages you may have and TV (we had to adjust the settings to English CC) but don't expect many options. The location was perfect for us. We were walking distance from Piazza Navona where there a ton of restaurants. We spent one evening walking the small streets near our hotel and found more restaurants, small shops, and some bars. Let me start with the hotel review and then I'll try to offer a few tips we learned along the way. The location of this hotel is very walkable to everything. (Do yourself a favor and use Google Maps on your phone.) What looks like a block on the map is nothing like what we're used to in the U.S. It's much shorter. We rented out the family deluxe suite vs the family room and regret it. Yes, it was spacious and has 2 toilets which is nice, but the hot tub was moldy, doesn't offer privacy and is too small. The balconies are too small for even one person to stand. Cleanliness is mediocre. Our maid didn't even throw away soap wrappers or replenish the tea, shampoo, etc even though we stayed for several nights. At $250/night we really expected a higher level of service. The beds are new and comfortable & you can request that the 2nd room have twin beds which is nice. The absolute biggest negative is the noise! I can't stress this enough, especially for the master bedroom. Even without the windows open you will wake up many times from very loud noises. The 5:15am trash pickup was an extra lovely experience. Trucks and cars..beeping..it goes on all night long. You are given the option to pay 30 euros for a family of 4 for breakfast, but we chose not to go this route as there is a grocer in just about every direction, including one literally next door if you turn left as you exit. Personally I would not rent a car. Use https://www.taxifarefinder.com/?lang=en instead. It was very accurate and you shouldn't pay more than the average listed on there. Have exact change + an extra euro or two in case there is serious traffic. Don't get conned going to the airports as those are flat fees and INCLUDE bags. They will claim extra for bags, for weekends, because the sky is blue...don't give in. The airports were by far the most dishonest. We found the most honest ones to be located a block away at the Pantheon and used them 4 times. read more

This hotel is so beautiful and the staff are so welcoming they assist you all the way to your room, true hospitality! We were able to check in early which wasn't a problem at all the front desk gave us a map and explained everything we needed to know about how to get around, this hotel is in the center of it all no need for a car or bike just some tennis shoes... We came here for our anniversary and loved this hotel! It was the only hotel throughout Italy where we could control he AC! (Which is a life saver for us) The hotel itself was very immaculate and very clean. We had a bottle of champagne waiting for us with a note congratulating us on our anniversary which I thought was very sweet. The hotel room was very large and the bathroom was great with two sinks! When we come back to Rome we will certainly stay here, it is central to everything. Breakfast was also very wonderful and they had an espresso machine that I very much enjoyed! read more

Recommended neighborhood restaurants and coffee shops. The breakfast is reasonable at the hotel, but there are local shops around the hotel that serve a nice breakfast for the same price. The only downside was when we arrived after a long flight , we had to drag our suitcases up a flight of stairs to get to the front desk. No one was around to help us, so be prepared. read more

An INCREDIBLE stay! The hotel is so charming, you really feel like you're living a true Roman lifestyle. Quaint, safe, comfortable and very clean - I couldn't have been happier. The location of the hotel is perfect, being less than a 5 minute walk to the Pantheon and its surrounding eateries. The tiramisu cafe next door to the hotel is to die for! I happened to stop by one night on my way back to my room, and I wish I had known about it earlier in my stay! The staff was also so wonderful and accommodating. What a great location! You're just a 3 minute walk from Piazza Navona. The charming neighborhoods beyond the Tiber River, campo de fiori are both within easy walking distance. Rome's bus system is both cheap and efficient for getting you to the Colosseum, the Forum from Hotel Navona. The room we had was a bit small, but quiet and comfortable. This hotel is amazing. It's a small boutique hotel that sits about 100 steps from piazza navona but is off enough where it's quite quiet and nice. Situated in a very old renovated building with a lift, you will love this place. Service was tremendous. We were celebrating our honeymoon and were upgraded to a larger room 301. Get it. It's awesome! Beds are super comfortable. Best of our stay in Italy. Very friendly experience. They were able to create a feeling of being a local living in Rome, right in the middle of a tourist area. Hard to do and they did a great job. They also do breakfast every morning for 10 euros. Basic and good. Juice, coffee, breads eggs bacon cereal fruit. Good way to start the day. If you want to venture out, it is around the corner from cafe il eustaccio, famous coffee shop, where you can get good coffee and even better baked goods. Overall highly recommended! read more

Terrible experience with canceling a booking at this hotel. Canceled over a month before the trip, but they had no record of the cancellation. Received an email 5 days before my stay from the hotel so realized the cancellation hadn't gone through, immediately canceled (again) and was charged 170 euro because it was only 5 days away, which is more than a night in the hotel! Absolutely outrageous cancellation fee and really terrible customer service. I travel a ton and have never heard of such a long cancellation period - not to mention it was their fault in the first place that the cancellation wasn't made! There are much nicer hotels in the area anyway! read more
