I stayed at the Hotel Ritter for three nights a few weeks ago. The hotel staff was very nice and attentive. I thought it was a bit odd that they would not exchange my dollars for Euros as most hotels generally do though. My room was a single and was small, but comfy. The bed small, but yet comfy as well. I had a nice view of the street, but since I slept with the balcony door open, it was a bit noisy in the morning. My biggest issue with the hotel was the breakfast. It was downright disgusting. In order to get coffee, you have to stand in line and wait for a machine to make it for you. The food consisted of very odd looking scrambled eggs, and weird looking ham. They also had some pre-sliced cheeses as well. The pastries looked good, but tasted, and there was a sign that advertised that most of the pastries were previously frozen. I have traveled quite a bit throughout Europe and breakfasts in hotels are usually amazing. The bathroom shower was very European....i.e. extremely small. The water temperature varied from ice cold to surface of the sun hot, back and forth. Not exactly pleasant. If they could fix the water temperature issue, and make the breakfast somewhat better, then I would increase my rating, until then, I think it deserves a strong 3 starts. Oh, and the free Wifi is very strong. read more
