Any time I tried to order an Uber, the pickup point was a 5-10 min walk away - (this will probably resolve itself within a few months?) when we stayed there, there was active construction (i.e. jack hammers throughout the day, literally outside the hotel) Overall, would I stay here again? sure. But I also might try a smaller hotel in the Brera zone which would be less congested and more quiet. read more

Outstanding stay - incredible location, exceptional service, beautiful hotel and amentities - one of our favorite Park Hyatt's to date We had an incredible stay at PH Milan - which began at check-in when Gulio took so much time and consideration making sure we received the room we wanted. The room itself was beautiful and feature rich, the cocktail bar is fantastic, and breakfast buffet was one of the best we've been to. The service is what really puts the PH over the top - everyone from front desk to concierge to bell hop went above and beyond and knew our names - we felt very taken care of here. In addition, they were exceptionally accommodating of our toddler, making sure he was well taken care of (and even giving us a full bottle of milk our last night when we were in a pinch!). This was the last hotel of our honeymoon. It was a beautiful hotel, in a prime location, that was enhanced by the personable staff. Prior to our stay we sent messages to the hotel to inform them of the occasion and we truly appreciated their quick responses in preparing us for our stay. From Guilherme informing us that the hotel was doing some suite renovations to Laetitia stepping in in his absence to ensure that we had a great stay before we arrived. It was truly appreciated. We were checked-in by Maria and she acknowledged my hotel status. I could tell that this staff was going to exemplify the standard that I've come to appreciate from Park Hyatt properties and was not disappointed. This property is centrally located in Milan and within steps of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and the Duomo. The area exudes luxury, business, and cosmopolitan commerce. We enjoyed the proximity to the Duomo because on one day that we had a tour break our group took lunch by the Duomo and my wife and I were able to recharge in our room. Laetitia from the Guest Experience team was very welcoming, and it was nice to put a face to the name from the email. She explained the amenities of the hotel and gave us a brief tour prior to taking us to our room. The elegance of the hotel carries to the room and although it was not a suite the room was sweet. We loved the marble bathroom, the bathtub, bathtub and rain showers, and the high ceilings. We were sent a bottle of Prosecco, a note, and a sweet treat to celebrate the occasion of our stay. We slept well in the comfortable beds during out stay. The breakfast and dinner were delicious at La Cupola. The breakfast buffet was of high-quality food, and it was served from 7AM to 11AM daily. The natural light that of the glass dome gave the dining experience a unique charm. The service of the staff was top notch and very attentive. Although we didn't eat at their Pellico 3 Milano restaurant we were intrigued by the gastronomic fine dining option and would be interested in experiencing it for a future trip. On our last night we went to the Aqvam Spa and got massages from Jennifer and Alessandra. They were both great and the spa was very nice, relaxing, and we needed it after all of our escapades in Italy. Prior to our massages my wife and I relaxed in their jacuzzi until our appointment was ready. I went to their very nice gym earlier in the day and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean and most importantly for me, had high enough ceilings for me to jump rope. I'm very long-winded with this review and it's because we had such a wonderful time staying at the hotel and interacting with the staff. Nicola the Head Concierge and Ryoto were both very helpful and personable. When my wife and I needed suggestions or directions they provided us with great recommendations, and we enjoyed our conversations with them. There are countless examples of the staff being pleasant and leaving us with memories that I appreciate as I write this. If you've read this far it should be obvious that I suggest this hotel. Very nice hotel. We had so many problems with the bathroom in 211: Upon check-in, discovered that the shower was clogged. It leaked all over bathroom. Maintenance came and fixed the clog, but there was no help cleaning up the dirty towels and no offer of someone to clean ththe shower after maintenance was in there snaking the drain. The sink closest to the window was also clogged. The beautiful bathtub would not hold water. You could fill the tub and stand in it, but as soon as you sit down, the drain starts rattling and water slowly drains. As housekeeping does not sit in the bath, I understand why this hasn't been noticed and fixed. ====== I don't understand why, but bathrobes were taken sime days and not replaced at all, or sometimes only replaced with 1 (there were 2 of us). We were also only provided with 3 towels max for 2 of us. ====== Staff at the hotel work so hard and are wonderful!! I wish they weren't told to step aside and stand still whenever we pass in hallways. I'm sorry the hotel makes them behave this way. read more

If I had the choice I'd retire and permanently reside at the PARK HYATT MILAN. Yes, the spa, gym, room and foodie worthy restaurant amenities are exceedingly as Goldilocks would say beyond just right, however it's truly the staff that will absolutely melt your heart! My very first impressive experience started when I had realized that I had forgotten to pack my deodorant, so I went down to the Front Desk, and was greeted by Lacri B. who instantly not only resolved the initial issue, but also helped with delivery from a local pharmacy with basic American medications that are very difficult to secure in a foreign country, such as Italy, as certain medications are regulated, and also very limited. Within that short interaction, I knew Lacri not only listened, but was almost like a secret detective, and extracted all the small things that I found joy on their property. Before I knew it, with that little interaction, she had told the turn down room service to place an extra plate filled with the gourmet dark chocolates from a local Chocolatier, of the particular flavors, that I truly savored. Throughout my entire stay, I was suspecting that perhaps The Park Hyatt Milan possessed psychic abilities, as they instinctively addressed prematurely, many abrupt and unexpected needs that were all met without me asking. They magically resolve complicated matters with so much ease and appearing as it was entirely effortless like they were going to do it before anyways. There was even an incident where all the porters for the fast train to the water taxis, were completely booked out, and miraculously Lacri was able to secure one out of nowhere when we needed it the most. The staff there by far pays attention to every fine detail, as that completely blows my mind as I have stayed in many five star/five diamond resorts. Literally the Park Hyatt Milan made me feel like we were the only people staying at the Hotel, even though it was clearly obvious that they were fully committed. There are no words to describe how grateful I am to have met all the staff, and how I truly appreciate every single one of them to have customized a very meaningful and memorable first time vacation in Italy. Upon my very sad departure day from the Hyatt as everything they seamlessly arranged was prior to schedule, they sent me home with a gift bag of a very personalized selection from that specific local chocolatier! Be prepared if you are Asian or you look younger than usual Park Hyatt clients My husband and I stayed at this property recently for our honeymoon. The rooms are newly renovated. It smells new and looks new. Nothing much to complain about the room. Big bathroom, bathtub, closet. Got a welcome cake and bottle as well. Staff are all friendly as well. Great location. However one incident made us uncomfortable and would def not return. We stayed for two nights. Doormen have been friendly every time we go in and out of the hotel. The last night we stayed, the doorman stopped us and asked if we were guests of hotel. That surprised us as we had no issues before. We stated yes we are and he let us go in. It's hard not to get offended or bothered by this because we are Asians? Or cuz we look younger? Did we look like we couldn't afford the hotel stay? We felt unwelcome and would not return. read more

Amazing, one of the best in Milan for quality, service, space and location. We looked at the Four Seasons (same price) and Bvlgari (3x's as much) and just the location alone can't be beat! You've got the mall and a ton of eating options right outside the front door, plus all the shopping your wide could possibly fit into her luggage (on second though, that might be a bad thing!). The corner suites are larger than typical European suite with a very roomy and well appointed bathroom. Decor is subtle yet luxurious. The daily cleaning staff is efficient and borderline OCD in arranging the room back to perfect. The single best reason though, is the concierge! We tested our hotel concierge against our friends staying at the Four Seasons, the Centurion line and the concierge service offered through my Vertu phone. We asked for dinner reservations at one of two restaurants we knew had no availability with 24 hours notice, and asked to be put on the guest list for a nightclub. The Park Hyatt concierge got us a dinner reservation for 4 people at 9pm, and not comp guest list for the night club within 12 hours. No one else was able to get us the dinner reservations, and only the Vertu concierge got us on the club entrance list (but not comp admission). We won't stay anywhere else when we come to Milan, we love this hotel! read more

First time in Milan and I decided to splurge on accomodation. The location of Park Hyatt Milan cannot be beat: it is a short 2 minute-walk from the famous Duomo and the original Prada store in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. My room was located on the second floor and was very quiet. I really enjoyed the large bathroom, which consisted of a large sink, a bathtub with separate rain shower, a separate toilet. The bathroom amenities by "Laura Tonatto" smelled really good. The king-size bed was pure heaven and I slept like a baby in it. The wifi was fairly fast and complimentary to guests. I visited the gym once, which a bit on the small side and accomodates only a few dumbbells. I was offered a complimentary drink by the general manager but did not take advantage of the opportunity. Overall, a solid 5-star hotel in Milan. I would definitely go back to Milan and stay again at Park Hyatt Milan. read more

Thanks to some free nights with Hyatt Gold Passport, my mom and I got to spend two evenings living like a baller at this unbelievable property. The rooms are immense and posh (holy crazy bathroom from heaven!), and the location is unbeatable. We were literally just steps from high end shopping at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the Duomo, La Scala Opera House and some great local restaurants. From the moment we walked in we were treated as honored guests. After check in a hostess escorted us to our room and showed us around. The concierge helped us from everything to booking tour reservations to securing an umbrella when we hit some unforseen rain. We didn't partake of the restaurants but did enjoy a glass of wine in the gorgeous Cupola. In the evenings after a long day of playing tourist, we'd return to our room to fresh fruit and complimentary bottled water with a new bucket of ice. I'm lying on my bed in the hotel right now, looking at that professional panorama -- and all though it is technically accurate, the professional artificial lighting turns what basically is a dismal room into something imaginary. My iPhone also lightened up the dark room in the photos I attached. The room is brown, beige and dated. Kind of 70s Hyatt style meets Star Trek (1969) with a ton of beige marble. The room is dark, the small windows only open a few inches and look out on a dismal light well and a view of the cell phone tower on the roof. The carpet needs replacing, actually my strong preference for hotel rooms these days is hardwood -- you can tell it it is not clean, this room is all carpet, except in the bathroom. The positives for the room is that it is spacious, with a large bathroom with clean and modern fixtures. The hallways are dark and a bit smelly. The air conditioning comes locked to 21 degrees minimum (too warm) and you have to call down to have them override it down to 18 degrees. For 600 euros a night, that seems really lame. The staff is friendly and professional, the location is outstanding, but I would look elsewhere next time. read more

This is a superb hotel. It is sedately elegant and modern, has a wonderful staff and is in a fantastic location within minutes of just about everything you will want to see or do in Milan. I will not rewrite other earlier, more detailed reviews. However, it is worth noting a few things. First, the staff could not be more helpful. Checking in and out could not have been easier. They all greeted us warmly every the we entered or left the building. They answered all of our questions and the concierges made a number of restaurant reservations well ahead of our arrival via email request. If they give you walking directions, they will be perfect to a "t". The rooms were a little small for a hotel of this caliber, but it is a historical building, so it is forgivable. They make up for it with high ceilings and very comfortable beds. The bathrooms are amazing - like mini-spas with great water pressure in the shower. Turndown service never failed to leave plenty of bottled still water and a little bag of delicious chocolates. Wireless internett worked beautifully. It is really fast and you can stream video and plug into a VPN easily. You just have to know to go to Google's homepage first to sign in (and you have to do this daily). Food is an expensive proposition at the Park Hyatt ($16 for orange juice? Really?), but with so many wonderful options a short stroll away, there is no need to feel captive to the hotel at meal time. A lovely hotel experience all in all. Highly recommended. read more

We stayed at the Park Hyatt Milan for 3 nights recently... and having read so much about the property, we were excited to be staying here. We were confirmed with Diamond Status 3 days prior to our arrival, so i was even happier to be staying at a Park Hyatt for the first time. At check-in, the staff person was pleasant, and professional.. however our diamond status, or any benefits of having it were not mentioned. I asked if breakfast was included in our stay, and was told that she would check and get back to us. She walked us to our room, and showed us around. Room was ok. I was surprised to have not only the closet in the bathroom, but also the mini bar. I know space is a premium in Europe, however I'm not a fan of having the fridge in a bathroom. Because of it's location, there was no room for a recessed toe-kick at the sink, leading to a few stubbed toes over the 3 days. the other strange thing was the fact that there was no outlet for the hair dryer in the bathroom. We had to plug it into the bedroom to use it. During our three nights, we did have some issue with house-keeping, and with room service...not what i would expect from this caliber of a hotel. One such issue was when we ordered room service for breakfast. Apparently the hotels version of Eggs Benedict is actually what we commonly call Eggs Florentine (only for room service - if you have breakfast at the main restaurant, then the eggs Benedict is actually what you would expect). Hotel was kind enough to send over some desert to the room, as we were celebrating a birthday. They also sent some wine. We also had breakfast in the restaurant off the lobby the 1st morning and last morning of our stay. The quality of food and the selection (between the menu, and buffet) was great. They had a great selection of cold cuts and cheese, along with a lot of different breads. We loved the focaccia, and the fresh mozzarella. Our waitress was also great. Made the breakfast more pleasant. Anyway, hotel staff is nice, and the rooms are clean... and the location is perfect (within walking distance of everything). read more

Our favorite hotel in Milano. The rooms are ultra-modern, but beautifully decorated and extremely well kept and appointed (memorable showers). The location is perfect, especially in freezing winter or blistering summer, right off the Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and just down from La Scala and the main fashion district. I stayed at this property in 2009, and I returned again this Spring 2018. This property continues to impress!! First, the location is incredible for attractions, shopping, and dining. I even walked as far as City Life (new commercial district) and back without any trouble. Now to review the property: Check-in was flawless. I was immediately recognized and welcomed as a return guest even after so many years. I am a World of Hyatt Globalist member, and I appreciated the complimentary room upgrade to a Junior Suite. Hint: The interior facing room ensured a very quiet stay. The same staff member that served me at breakfast each morning, always remembered me and my preferences. I never made a request that could not be fulfilled by her and the restaurant team. Every item on the buffet was fresh and delicious. I also ordered an item off of the menu, and the lobster omelette did not disappoint - please try it. Hint: Ricotta cheese at breakfast is delicious. Unfortunately, my busy schedule did not allow me to use the spa services, but I did use the gym within the spa. The gym was very clean and all of the equipment was in perfect/new condition. Everything about this hotel is so sumptuous. It's an amazing hotel in a great location. Location: It's located right next by the Duomo + Galleria Vittorio. Plenty of restaurants nearby + high-end shopping. The hotel is also right by a museum! They were doing a small Knights Templar exhibit while I was there. Also close to subway lines + trolley stations. Restaurants are open pretty late but it does get quiet around 8pm. Room: Spacious rooms with beautiful marble decor throughout. Our room was a little dark but perfect for sleeping in to get over jetlag. Sheets were very soft and bed was on the softer side. The room had complimentary tea, coffee, water, and chocolates. I know Europe hates this, but we had 3 people in one room and while it was a little tight, we all fit pretty well. Bathroom: So heavenly. Separated shower and deep bath tub. I didn't use their included toiletries but it smelled very nice~ Wall to Wall Marble. Other Things: Breakfast had the perfect amount of selection so that it wasn't overwhelming. . Their Latte Macchiato was one of the best things I've ever had. I even had them make it for me in a to-go cup. They have a spa/jacuzzi as well as a fitness center. In the women's room, they had a steam room with eucalyptus essential oils diffused throughout. Every time I went, it was empty so that was super nice. Customer Service: They were very helpful, especially the doormen who always made sure we knew where we were going. The concierge also helped a lot in explaining train systems to me. read more

This review has actually been saved in my archives of hotel reviews to publish, except I didn't know which forum to post...until Yelp! I came to Milan at the same time U2 had a concert, and yup, the group was staying at the Park Hyatt. Needless to say, it was absolute chaos entering/exiting the hotel. As part of my summer Italy travels, Milan would either be a stop-over for a night (the Park Hyatt can store luggage for you if you are planning on going to another destination then coming back) or 2-3 days maximum for shopping and eating. Once all the sightseeing is done (first time in grade 10 with Il Duomo and La Scala), there really isn't much to see (imho). There are plenty of hotels in Milan, but the Park Hyatt is in the Galleria Vittorio Emanule which is a beautiful glass shopping and eating (very touristy though!) area. Introduction. The entrance to the hotel is neither big nor grand. Check in is actually manned by only two people, and it does get very busy and crowded at times. Check in one time was a disaster as we had to wait over an hour to get our room. In fact, we were rudely told not to wait in the main area, but rather wait at La Cupola (lounge) because we were blocking people. My aunt quickly shut that down and complained if we were checked in on time like they promised (and kept on promising), we wouldn't need to, or want to, be in the lobby. As I mentioned, check in can be chaotic because of the small area. Various rooms. The Park King (basic room) is so very spacious. The rooms are very tall and include a nice sitting area and LARGE bathroom (the shower stall is as big as some walk in closets). You will not be amiss of anything. However, I also had the opportunity to stay in the Park Terrace Suite which is a gorgeous room with a very spacious patio. This was actually my favorite place to chill and relax, having drinks and unwinding. This was an upgrade, and if I had all the money in the world, I would choose the Park Terrace Suite, but the Park King is already so very nice. Service. Can I just say everyone says hello and greets you. Polite and pleasant as can be. This is something I notice as a common thread in Park Hyatt hotels. Restaurants. With so many in Milan, I didn't eat at any restaurants in this hotel, except at La Cupola for continental breakfast. This is a beautiful space and you see it as soon as you walk in the hotel. They have that famous dome over the lounge which lets in lots of light. I wouldn't recommend breakfast here (unless it's included) because from what I remember it was expensive for just croissants and cappuccino. Concierge. I would recommend booking any restaurants with the Park Hyatt's concierge (located right by the check in counters). They are extremely helpful and I find that the connection between restaurant and hotel can secure a spot at some of the most coveted/busy restaurants. Case in point - we really wanted to eat at Nobu on a busy Saturday night and initially the restaurant said they had no space...10 minutes later, the concierge got us a space. In conclusion, the location is unbeatable (walking distance to Il Duomo and La Scala) and the design is sleek and modern. The rooms are luxuriously designed. If you are an avid Park Hyatt fan (or collect/use the points), then this place is for you. read more

Subdued elegance and out of this world service. My expectations were already high when I arrived in late November of last year to this Park Hyatt in Milan and I left with smug smile and many wonderful memories. Located right outside the Galleria and only a quick few blocks from the Duomo, the Park Hyatt Milan has a humble entrance but what it lacks in space, it makes up for in service and design. The hotel is beautiful. The lobby opens up into a cavernous, well-lit space that expands the room, with muted chandeliers and tasteful art pieces strewn throughout. The room we stayed in was excellent as well. The bathroom was absolutely gigantic and could suffice as one of the many one bedroom apartments in New York City. Scratch that, it's bigger than that. Definitely bigger. I had alerted the front desk that it was our anniversary and we were treated to champagne, a rose petal bath, and a few other goodies. The concierge was also the most helpful concierge that I've interacted with, and this includes other concierges we had encountered on this same trip. The St Regis Osaka and Park Hyatt Tokyo didn't have the most helpful people manning their concierge tables, but the recommendations provided by the Park Hyatt Milan definitely made our stay more enjoyable. They provided local eats, pubs, bars, and attractions that one would have great difficulty finding in travel guides and that's something that I will always appreciate. As my first Park Hyatt experience, I am so glad to have stayed at the Park Hyatt Milan as an end to my Italy trip. The location was centrally located but in a quieter street a few steps away from the Duomo and the Venchi chocolate shop shares the same building. Upon checking in, everyone was genuinely kind, friendly, and professional. We were warmly greeted by the handsome assistant manager who actually took time to have a real conversation with us. We were walked into our beautiful corner room by the women who checked us in, and told us about some of the room features. The waters in the room were complimentary so we finished it before we left the room after dropping off our bags, and when we came back we discovered they had restocked the water within an hour, gave us a box of welcome chocolates, and reorganized the room. When we stepped out again for the evening stroll, they came back to the room for turn down service, and again we received more water by the nightstands and another box of chocolates. Overall, it was a very sweet experience with generous amount of quality chocolate and we were very hydrated during our visit. We loved all the details during our trip here, and preferred it to other luxury hotels we had stayed at during the trip. Upon entering, the super relaxing Park Hyatt Milan soundtrack is playing on the TV (I am in love with this instrumental music now--it's impossible to feel the slightest bit of stress with that playing in the background). We made use of the complimentary shoe shine late in the evening and they had it to us early the next morning. The in-room nespresso machine and hot water kettle were super convenient for our tea and coffee break. I loved the cushioned slippers, definitely more cushion than any other hotel slippers I've worn. The bathroom was very large and was stocked with Laura Tonatto products, which I loved. It is a fragrance company, and it smelled lovely. The loofah was a nice touch, lots of cotton pads and swabs. The room was quiet, the lighting is ambient, ceilings were extremely high, and there was generous desk space. The room can be a little dark in the morning though. There was a mini fridge, but it was packed with beverages and if you moved any stuff, it would be automatically charged to your room, so there isn't really room to put any of your own items in it. It is hard to heap more praise on the Park Hyatt Milan. This is the type of hotel where the not only remember your name, but they remember what you do each day. The front desk, concierge, restaurants, bar, spa were all helpful, eager to please and of high quality. The rooms are beautiful. The hotel is between the Galleria Vittoro Emanuele II and Il Duomo! The location couldn't be better. A shout out to Lucia Seccia and Paola Iannotta in guest relations and rooms manager. This hotel is in a central location right next to the Duomo. This was perfect to just roll out of bed and walk out for a beautiful view and great eats nearby. We came with our 1yo daughter and felt that the staff was super attentive. When they found out that our stroller was lost at the airport, they immediately offered one that they had available for us to use without us asking. They knew we were going to the expo and suggested it for convenience. This was so kind and much appreciated. We were in a junior suite. My only small complaint is that it was not a true suite in the traditional sense in that it was mostly an oversized room. So the division in the bedroom that we needed for our daughter to sleep caused minor inconvenience. I say minor only because the bathroom was so gigantic that we could use that as a quasi room division. We also had delicious breakfast each day. Overall the stay was comfortable and we felt rested and relaxed. read more

The Park Hyatt Milan will be the one and only choice for a hotel when Monkey returns for a visit. Monkey values a great location and the Park Hyatt is better situated in Milan than any other hotel. After a long trip from Southern California to Milan with three small Monkeys, the Park Hyatt provided a welcoming experience. The hotel is within walking distance of any attraction in the city from the Last Supper to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The rooms are quite nice with plenty of high end finishes although the poor performing Loewe TVs are certainly out of place. The staff is genuine and friendly. Monkey's son had a birthday while in Milan and the staff spared no expense to make his birthday special including filling the room with balloons and making him a delicious cake. The restaurants Vun and La Cupola both have Chef Andrea Aprea at the helm with delicious recipes. Definitely worth stopping by for a dinner or lunch after a long day sightseeing. In fact, an extra perk as a Hyatt member is kids eat free. Overall, Monkey would like to thank Front of the House Manager Frederico Calla and his team for their excellent service. read more

We stayed at Park Hyatt Milan in July 2014 and I absolutely loved it. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom was actually almost the size of the room. The hotel welcomed us with a good bottle of wine and a handwritten card. Our room hat terrace on top of the hotel which was big and nice to sit on, even though it was very noisy. The location of the hotel is great; right next to the galleria and the duomo. The staff was friendly, but the reception staff could improve their service by being a bit more welcoming.
