AC Hotel Milano is everything you'll need for a pleasant stay. Right off the Porta Garibaldi train station, there's an entrance to the station literally adjacent to the hotel. Very convenient if you want to take the train directly to and from the Malpensa airport. As for the room, it was very clean, sufficient space, and had a nice view of the train station and city buildings. The hotel bar is also a cozy spot to sit and enjoy a beverage and snacks. The breakfast is superb. Lots if options with delicious items. Overall, it was a great stay. There are accessible restaurants and bars only a few minutes walking distance and if you need to burn off a large meal, the Duomo area is a 40 min walk. The staff are very pleasant and friendly and also the hotel gym is great amenity as well. Definitely will consider staying here again! read more

Perfectly good business hotel by Porta Garibaldi And the location - by Porta Garibaldi - is what makes this special. Walk out the door, go down the stairs, and you're at the other end of the platforms at the station. Which means that you can get up in the morning, and catch the Malpensa express to MXP without having to plan anything other than the train time - it's literally just a couple of minutes to the train! read more

A clean, comfortable hotel conveniently located next to the Garibaldi train station, and a short walk to the metro. Rooms are spacious, although I found the fact the bathroom door doesn't cover the space completely strange. You certainly get to hear your partner using the facilities! Staff are very friendly and helpful, and speak a multitude of languages, particularly useful for a linguistically challenged English speaker like myself. read more

Great convenient location from Milano central station and to/from Malpensa MXP. We also walked to the Duomo, Castillo Sforzesco, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Overall the room was comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The only minor issue for me was the insulation of the windows were not the best that I could hear the sirens and traffic down the street at night. read more

Really wanted to like this hotel and expected more from a Marriott property. The phone in the room was so staticky that I couldn't hear what they were saying when I called for room service. The mattress was hard but comfortable but the bed frame appeared broken. The wifi goes in and out. The TV always displays some kind of error message. We used the Bonvoy app to request bathroom amenities since our luggage was lost at the airport and it never came to the room. There are some positives: the app lets you use your phone as a room key, the central AC was effective and cold, front desk personnel spoke great English. This is a good place to stay if you're traveling for work but I wouldn't spend my own money on this. read more

What a hassle this place was. It's in a poor area of town where it takes 40 minutes to get downtown by the tram. We went in April where they turn off the heat with no air conditioning even though the rooms are super hot inside. If you open a window you either hear sirens or traffic from the nearby highway. Front desk people were no help at all. The room had a lack of space, being very tiny inside. The breakfast buffet is the best part of this hotel with fresh breads, eggs, cereals, and many other good items. read more

A 4 star rating by the hotel is an extremely exaggerated rating for this hotel. It is so far away from downtown Milan. The only benefit is you walk out the front door and the subway is to your left so you can take public transport if you want (I didn't want to and I'm not sure how much of a benefit it is anyway) and the train station is a short walk away (15-20 minutes). The location honestly seems a little sketchy. Breakfast is the type of breakfast you expect from a hotel like this - very minimal and basic. The A/C did not work. I let the people know the first day when I went to explore and they said they would send someone up, that night we arrived back and they said it should be working. We got to the room and nope. But we went to bed anyway. The next morning, I did the same thing and I also messaged them on the app - they said they sent someone and it's working. We got back that night and nope not working still. So we decided we need to be there for the technician to make sure he's checking. He arrives and fusses with it for 1-2 minutes and says yeah it's not working we can switch you rooms. So either 1) they never went 2) the technician lied about fixing it and hoped we would just deal with it or 3) the most UNLIKELY situation is he realized after 3-4 failed attempts it wouldn't work. They moved us to a room 2 doors down and while the air DID work it is so minimal. It's a sort of eco conscious hotel (AKA they chimp out on air conditioning). I would never stay here again. The front desk employees are the only reason it's 2 stars instead of 1. They were friendly and helpful with map questions. Initially I stayed at the Rosa Grand in downtown Milan my first week but I had 3 days before I left and decided to move out a bit and be closer to the train station for my departure. Just spent 5 (mostly) enjoyable nights at the AC Hotel Milano with my wife. Service was pleasant, design was modern/chic and the food was good. Unfortunately, there was one MAJOR blunder that takes away some points: The cleaning ladies left the door open one day! Upon returning from a long day, my wife and I found out the door wasn't property shut in our room. If you consider the time we came back, our room must have been open for a good 6 hours. Luckily, nothing was missing in our room; which points to a simple human mistake. Besides that big blunder, we enjoyed the location close to the hotspot of Isola and 5 minutes away from a big train station. (A bit sketchy at night, so we recommend a taxi/Uber). so there are two milan stations..make sure you do not go to the central (large) one... that one is a good twenty blocks plus away. The concierge staff was friendly. I suggest utilizing them on directions, places to eat etc. The rooms themselves were comfortable... I think I feel asleep in ten minutes (super comfy bed) Like all AC hotels.. the sodas and waters etc in the fridge are free. There are also waters available in the large gym. read more

I had the pleasure of spending five days in Milan and staying at this hotel. A beautiful 4-star hotel near the Garibaldi train station. The streets around are extremely busy, at least it was always a big act to get somewhere by car. Ok, the subway would have been better, there is a stop right next to the hotel The hotel itself has probably the smallest/tightest car park in the entire city of Milan. I am still wondering how all those SUV drivers get to park their cars down there. The rooms are spacious and clean. The design (Jacob Jensen) is a nice standard. The bathroom is well-equipped, but it lacks small details to make a business lady feel good. Light is scarce, no make-up mirror, no Kleenex box. The rooms & hotel are ok, but no FREE WIFI? As a business traveler that is a bog No Go. They have SKY TV with 7++ channels. But for the German-speaking crowd there is a tiny selection (Deutsche Welle, ZDF and RTL II). No radio or CD player. No alarm clock. A broken refrigerator and broken light bulbs. Shouldn't the service people have seen and fixed this before me asking for it? Breakfast buffet was ok, but unfortunately only little Italian delicacies on offer. Conclusion: You are in Italy, don't expect 4 stars to be a real 4 star hotel read more

Quite decent business hotel in Milan with good access to underground. Their restaurant is very good; the risotto was very good but the grilled vegetables were incredibly delicious, tastier than grilled vegetables have any right being. Breakfast was just okay, but plentiful and with lots of fresh fruit as well as a la cart espressi etc. My room was well appointed and modern, but they don't seem to vacuum very religiously (the rest of the room was definitely spotless, and if not for my yoga routine I'd never have noticed the dust bunny ranch under the bed). The hall door is just next to the glass door to the bathroom, which was slightly weird but not a huge deal. Staff is lovely, good deal. I will definitely stay here again. Clean and comfortable hotel. I had thought it was rather out of the way for a conference at the MICO, but the M5 is a short walk away and it is a direct ride to MICO. Also, it is walking distance (underground tunnel) to Garibaldi Station, which has a train stop for the Mariposa Express train to the airport. My room on the 16th floor had hardwood floors throughout. I prefer carpet in a hotel. But the room is comfortable and clean with a large bathroom. A strange Italian thing - there is no iron and ironing board in the room. It's the law, I am told. You can use an iron on floor -1. It's rather inconvenient. The bar is large and comfortable. This is a good business hotel. I would not recommend it for vacationing families. read more

Very modern, upscale hotel in a really dicey neighborhood. I really liked most everything about the hotel, but it is way out of the beautiful core section of the city and friends in the city said they were surprised that a Marriott partner would locate such a nice place in that district. The rooms were very nice and the beds were better-than-usual in terms of comfort. The restaurant is nice, but a little utilitarian (seems a little cafeteria-like.) The location was very good from and to Malpensa Airport. A short 10 minutes tram ride to Duomo was very nice too. Very modern guest rooms. Clean and still new. Front desk staff speak English well and helpful. Good breakfast buffet. Milano was our last destination on our Italian Vacation this past May and we only stayed one night before flying out of Malpensa the next day. It was comforting to be in a Marriott and have a good night sleep before a long plane ride the next day. The room was nice, clean and very modern. The bed was the most comfortable bed I slept in the whole time I was in Italy. The mini bar was free and they provided quite a bit of travel personal items (shower cap, comb, dental kit, slippers). Our room was nice and quiet. Since we weren't in town very long we didn't get our bearings of the area, so I'm not sure about the tram/metro or nearby restaurants. We took a cab to and from the city center. This hotel was conveniently close to the main train station and even has a metro subway stop right at the front doors. The decor is modern and quite nice. Every one of the staff personnel we came in contact with were very helpful, nice, and spoke a fair to good amount of English. The minibar was stocked daily with water and juices which was nice because it seems that water is a premium purchase(much of the time more expensive than wine!). Our room rate included the breakfast buffet which was the usual scrambled eggs, sausage, cold cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, cold cuts, cheese, bread/danish assortments, juices and coffee. I see a lot of old reviews here. Here is more recent one: Rooms are nice. A little small for US standards. No Pool Believe it or not....no ice machine or any other way to get ice unless you go to the bar and at one time, they actually told me they had no ice. The other time they gave me a small glass. No iron. There is a "ironing room" in the basement.....very very dark down there. staff speaks English. Pretty Clean....no issues there. I was charged 3 Euros for a coffee. The free mini bar no longer exists...they charge you now. The hotel is understaffed....One person working at the reception. It took 30 mins just to check in and if you need concierge service, plan ahead. It took 20 minutes just to get a cup of coffee in the morning. The bar staff was rude. No place to sit outside. I sat on the front steps of the hotel and was asked to move. I saw two homeless people fight over a trashcan and if you stand outside long enough, someone will ask you for money or come up to you. Neighborhood is questionable. Do your own laundry...10 minutes walking distance. Too expensive otherwise. Great restaurant within 1 minute walking distance. Within 15-20 minutes walking, you can be in a more tourist area (shops/restaurants). The best part about this place is the train/metro station right next to it. Nothing much else to offer. read more
