One of a few hotels in Rome that I love going back to. Simply elegant and charming, this hotel is reminiscent of an era gone by. We stayed in a room with a small patio outside which overlooked the garden below. Loved having an afternoon cafe or an early cocktail in the garden. I had the fortunate opportunity to meet one of the owners who was just lovely. Cant wait to get back!

Just a small area of the bites I got from the bed bugs!

This place has BED BUGS!!! From the beginning of this stay I was upset. Starting off with the fact that when I mentioned our available upgrade through the Expedia VIP gold package the employee was lazy to check and see for another room. The WORST problem was the bed bugs. Starting the first night I woke up with bites on me. My husband and I mentioned the blood droplets on sheets and bites on legs and they offered to have the bedding changed out so we agreed. The next two following nights more and more bites to the point of not being able to sleep and choosing to sleep on the bathroom floor. Finally my husband was fed up and demanded a room change which they did quickly. The room happened to be an upgrade (supposedly they didn't have any before) and they used that as an excuse to not do complementary laundry service for us. We were concerned about our items that had been on the bed would be contaminated. A woman named RITA was who told us this. She was very rude and condescending. After bedbugs washing laundry is critical and they said they checked the room and didn't see bugs. We later found out that room immediately went to another customer who will then be pestered by the bed bugs like we were. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place.

I absolutely loved Hotel Quirinale. Our room was in a back corner area and it was wonderfully quiet. The room was absolutely beautiful. Luckily, the bathroom was sectioned off in its own area and it was great with affording privacy for my friend and I. It's in a prime location and it was always easy to grab a taxi. The staff was very friendly and helped us easily check in and out. Whenever we had cleaning service, the room was left immaculate. If I were to ever return to Rome, I would have to stay here. The only thing that I didn't like was that they didn't have electronic safes and we had to use a key.

Attached to Rome's Opera House Opera House via direct passage The Hotel Quirinale is an elegant 4-star hotel located in the heart of Rome. A quick walk from Roma Termini and offering bus stops directly out front almost no part of The Eternal City takes more than 30 minutes from door-to-door. Aged, but well maintained, guests can expect all the necessities and fluid check-in, while English-fluent staff accessible via E-mail are extremely helpful with booking restaurants even a month in advance. Obviously not The Four Seasons, but under €80 a night, one would be hard-pressed to find a bettter bargain for strong Wi-Fi, 24/7 Fitness Center and complimentary Breakfast.

My favorite part of this hotel was the elevator. The staff was nice and friendly. I only stayed here for a night. It was our last night in Rome. We arrived from Florence and walked to our hotel from the train station was about a 10-12 minute walk. It wasn't too bad for us. Once we arrived we got situated into our room immediately, the bellhop gentleman was kind enought to walk us to our room and help us with our luggage. Right away we noticed the old style elevator. It was facinating for us. Loved that feel of historic and modern touch of the hotel. Overall it was a very clean and neat hotel, the breakfast was ok, I can't complain much, coffee was delicious. Overall I had a good experience at the hotel.

I was robbed at the entrance of the hotel with an employee of the hotel standing next to me with my luggage cart. None of the employees of the hotel cared , even the manager. They have security cameras but would not show me because of "privacy "!? I guess the robbers privacy?!? The hotel is old and dirty. The breakfast room is dirty with food all over the counter and floor. (I have photos). The coffee comes from a machine that you have to stand in a long line. Hopefully it has what you want when you get to the front. The shower spills water all over the bathroom floor. The tv had "no signal" message halfway through my movie. I travel A LOT for work, this wins the award for worst hotel ever.

Location: The Quirinale Hotel was located ideally near most of the major attractions that were on our list----The Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colliseum, and the Vatican. It is located within walking distance to the train station, which made it easy since we rode the train from the airport. Staff: The staff were very accommodating, nice and bilingual. Cleanliness: The hotel was very clean. This is an older, restored hotel. I would have loved to learn more about the history of the location. Also, had an old cage elevator that was still functioning. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The bed was actually two twin beds pushed up against one another to make a king and not the most comfortable but after a day of walking and sightseeing, they were fine. We had some issues with the temperature control in the room but was able to open the windows to cool it down. Amenities: There was a restaurant onsite but we didn't visit that. We did have the free continental breakfast but was not impressed with that at all, in fact, one of the worst that we had on our trip. This would be a great hotel to offer spa services as well but was unaware of any offerings during our stay there. The bellmen and front office team were always nice and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

That made the location extremely convenient. The hotel sits a short walk from Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. Some areas near the main train station are often described as unsafe by Italian standards. We did not experience that near the hotel. Tourists and locals were out late, and the neighborhood stayed active into the evening. Rome is compact and easy to navigate. Most major attractions felt reachable within about 20 minutes by taxi, bus, or rail. We tried to visit the Trevi Fountain at 10:00 pm to avoid crowds. That plan failed completely(see pic). It was packed. Locals eat later than in the U.S., and many parts of the city stay busy well into the night. Restaurants remain open late. A note for U.S. travelers. European hotel rooms run smaller for the price. Even using Hilton points, our room would have cost close to $700 per night USD and felt small. The hotel offers a pleasant rooftop bar and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The buffet breakfast was a solid, comfortable way to start the day. It was included for us as Hilton Diamond members. I am unsure of the cash price. Overall, the location and amenities make this a smart pre-cruise choice, especially for travelers relying on rail connections.

However, it is quietly nestled in a beautiful little neighborhood. It is very quiet and quaint. Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. With the curtains open the natural light is perfect. The bed was comfortable and we Sisto very nicely here. The bathroom is very big with a walk in shower and bidet with all toiletries needed to have a comfortable stay. I will say I was a bit bummed that the tile warmer was not functional but the hotel was very kind offering anything to make sure that we were happy. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I would also note that the building is quite old and the bathroom had a metallic smell perhaps from the pipes of older plumbing but it was fine as long as we kept the bathroom door closed. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain. All details are thought of here including mini bar, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and a welcome gift. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always ensuring that we were comfortable and happy. We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is a special place and experience. The nostalgia of standing and staying where the Romans once stood 2000 years ago was definitely a treat! The hotel has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine in the evening. The lounge just inside of the terrace is cozy and comfortable to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening and there's a cozy fireplace to warm up, which we took full advantage of after a long wet rainy day in the colosseum and Roman forum. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special Roman experience. We will definitely be back!

After my hospital visit was over and we went back to the hotel the staff helped translate my order and prescriptions. They were so helpful with everything else.
