I wanted to love Hotel Paba because the front desk team was warm, approachable, and gave top-tier recommendations for enjoying Monti. Unfortunately, the warm hospitality is a mask for serious security flaws and dishonesty.
During our stay, housekeeping took $300 cash from a purse tucked away in our closet. When I brought this to management, they said they'd look into it, but I never heard back. Their only real response was pointing out that we should have used the safe.
To make matters worse, the hotel's physical setup makes this kind of behavior easy: No Entry Logs: Rooms use physical keys instead of electronic keycards, so there is no record of who comes and goes.
No Room Privacy/Safety: There are no deadbolts or interior flip locks on the doors. Anyone with a key can unlock your door and walk right in, even while you are asleep.
Extremely disappointed by the theft and the complete lack of follow-through from management. Save yourself the stress and stay at a hotel that takes guest security seriously. read more
