But something about being here during winter was...magical. High class, intimate, romantic place for your partner and you to have a quiet getaway. The bar has fun cocktails both in the mansion and at the pavilion. The food was PHENOMENAL. My favorite was the truffle fries. They actually used real shaved truffle on top instead of just truffle oil like a lot of other places, so I appreciate the commitment to the craft. Complimentary breakfast was *chefs kiss*. Fun night time hangout at the fire pits with s'mores and brick oven pizza all night. I need to come back and stay in those cabins, I stayed in the mansion and it was the best sleep I've had in months. But you know what the stand out feature was? The staff. From the greeters, to the bartenders, to the management, they really made you feel special. Efficient, attentive, warm and welcoming. I can honestly keep going about how amazing the experience here was but I think I'll cut it here, just go see for yourself.

The hot breakfast was also very good. My issue this time, was the Wi-Fi. It was horrible! I was lucky if I would get between five and 10 MBPS, and a lot of times, it was lower than five. The Wi-Fi would also periodically just cut out. I talked to the front desk about it, and they referred me to tech-support. When I talked to tech-support, they told me that the bandwidth . For the Whole hotel, was capped at 30 MBPS. There were so many people in the hotel sharing the bandwidth, naturally my Wi-Fi was horrible. Fortunately, I had plenty of data, and I was able to use my phone as a hotspot. I went next-door to the super 8, for a couple of nights and I continuously had Wi-Fi in excess of 60MBPS. It's a sad thing, when a super. 8, has better Wi-Fi, than the best Western plus hotel and conference center.

Breakfast offering for $18/person is pitiful as is the inability to process credit card payments for breakfast or charge it to the room for a single easy to read bill. The layout of the hotel is also completely weird with our room 4xx being on the 2nd floor in the second wing. Such a confusing layout and we're not alone. At breakfast we heard countless people saying that AirTags should be provided to locate one another and the lobby.

This whole time, I really thought this place was inside a cozy hotel about 2 blocks over. Guess you learn something new every day. We pulled up on a Thurs. around 4 with no res. and got seated real quick. Restaurant K. is airy, chic and gives a relaxed vibe. The menu is on the smaller side, but honestly, there's something for every eating style. We kept things light instead of diving into something heavy. Our spring greens salad was really good: hefty mound of mixed greens, lima beans, string beans and a hint of dill to make everything pop. Hubs had the double-stacked burger with white cheddar on a potato bun and loved it. I had high hopes for the hush puppies because they sounded amazing on paper- but they were doughy than corny and threw me off. Then came dessert. Again- sounded great on paper. It kinda feels like desserts get a "reinvented" treatment here(?). For instance, the strawberry shortcake was deconstructed: a few chunks of white cake, some diced strawberries and whipped cream. Totally unexpected. I ordered the 'Fun-Fetti Dunkaroos' with madeleines because they caught my eye, but they're smaller than standard. The food isn't bad at all. We were just caught off guard by how some of our selections were prepped. What really saved the evening were the cocktails. They were beautifully made and had a lot of strength. No watered-down nonsense here! Plus, our server Karina(?) was super sweet. I asked if I could try the passion fruit purée to see if it was the real deal for one of the cocktails I ordered and she brought me a little sample. Passed the test!

    # Kinsley, Kingston…read more Kinsley delivers on every front. From the moment we sat down, it was clear this restaurant takes pride in the details. The menu showcases thoughtful cooking, and every dish that came to our table was expertly executed. Flavors were vibrant, presentations were polished, and nothing felt rushed or careless. Whether you're drawn to their standout entrees or exploring the smaller plates, you'll find the kitchen knows what it's doing. But the real standout? The housemaid martini. This isn't your standard cocktail. It's nuanced, perfectly balanced, and worth ordering on its own merits. The bartender clearly understands their craft. Service matched the kitchen's quality throughout. Our server was attentive without hovering, knowledgeable when we had questions, and genuinely seemed invested in making our meal memorable. That kind of hospitality makes a difference. I also loved the books lining the wall. Could have spent all day there! Kinsley is a real destination. Highly recommended.

"that room isn't ready yet, just a few more minutes." She took my cell number and said she'd let us know when the room was ready and we decided to soak up the A/C in the front lobby for a bit. 3:30 p.m. and... nothing yet so we opted to hit the town to explore and when we got the text we would come back. 5 p.m. and... still no text but we circled back figuring the room must be good-to-go by now. A different lady behind the counter seemed to make it like it was on us for the delay/issue. (So not cool, let's be real.) The room? Clean. The bathroom? Clean. The beds and pillows? Comfy, all around. The TV? Kind of weird... sometimes the picture blacked out, sometimes it went haywire, sometimes it was a-okay for a spell. Okay, we can live with (all of) this. (Even if our 'view' was the parking lot and Target across yonder.) Later we decided to snoop around. Gym - clean with a few machines, a bench and plenty of dumbbells. The pool was chilly and ridiculously chlorinated. (You might think I'm exaggerating but the next day the black drawstring on my boardshorts were now brown from the amount of chemicals I was wading through. No joke.) The hot tub was... kind of warm. We hit the lobby-lounge later in the evening for drinks and they had a decent selection of beers (all "the classics") as well as Starbucks, water, soda, some snacks, the usual. Check-out the following morning was easy-peasy. I'm not against returning in the future but I do think we'd see what else is in the area first.

The bar service at the aqua terrace is mediocre. There was one server (perhaps understaffed that day) and we were ignored every time they came out to the terrace. Other guests were served, except us. Went to Willow for lunch the following morning, apparently it opens at 11:30, the entire place was empty, but it took them over 15 minutes to seat us. Weird, considering it was empty.
