In the early morning hours and sometimes even during the day - the surrounding hills cover with fog and you feel like you're standing on an island in the middle of the ocean. It's utterly breathtaking. (I highly recommend staying in the upstairs bedroom! Super comfy beds, an awesome bathroom/shower, and a perfect view of the rolling hills!) A large group of wedding vendors and I photographed a styled wedding on the property and we couldn't have been happier with the end result. There are acres and acres of beautiful trails to walk, a large pond full of fish, an awesome bonfire and outdoor bar, as well as a beautiful barn on the land. The space is utterly perfect for country or outdoor weddings! I cannot wait to visit again - both for professional reasons and for personal! (Also, the owners, Sandy and Lou are two of the sweetest people I've ever met! If you love stories about history - ask them questions! They have so many great tales to tell!)

The guest rooms were very clean beautifully appointed with period furniture and a super comfy bed. Breakfast was a multicourse daily feast prepared by Dennis (best eggs!) and Rosemary from locally sourced foods and fresh from the oven muffins baked daily by Rosemary. Dennis and Rosemary join us daily for breakfast where we had lively conversation on an arrange of topics, best being Dennis's extensive knowledge of historic Ambridge and the Harmony Society. The best part of our stay was meeting Dennis and Rosemary. They have created an environment that made us feel as if we were staying with family. Caroll is a great hostess and wonderful cook. We used not only the rooms but the Garden Center for the bridal party hair and makeup, the pavilion and fire ring for the rehearsal dinner and the grounds for gorgeous bridal party pictures. Our wedding was not held there, but she hosts wedding as well. I would have loved to have more time to just enjoy the peace and quiet on the porch.
