What a great find. Found last minute hotel on Amex. It is a little climb from the Wengen train station. First built int he 1890s and still has that feel although it does have all the modern comforts. The internet is passable but a little slow. 10-15mb/sec. Has a small elevator. Some of the sinks and wall paper are from a renovation in 1930!! Doors, windows, and many other things were renovated in 2000. The windows and doors are much more sound proof then expected. They have daily dinners (didn't get to try). Included breakfast buffet is simple but very good. Scrambled eggs, bacon, cereals, yogurt, muesli, fresh fruit, several different breads, jams, butter, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit juices, milk, coffee, tea station. More than enough.
Our room had a balcony with great views of the valley and mountains.
