We originally booked only one night but were so impressed with the hotel and area that we were lucky enough to stay 2 nights. The hotel is within walking distance to the village and centre. It is directly on the river and has stunning views. We stayed in room #9 and it was super awesome. Roses printed in the carpet, red leather chaise lounges in from of huge windows and views of the water and town, which made it really romantic! The room had a HUGE bathroom which was upstairs and a giant sunken whirlpool jacuzzi tub. The bathroom made you feel like you were in a Roman bath house equipped with a shower and sink. Lush bathrooms that we lived in. It also had a separate room for the toilet and another sink. The staff is super helpful and friendly. We ate at the restaurant and the food is very good. We enjoyed the morning breakfast which had plenty of options. We were very lucky in that the monthly day market and night festival was going on. It was so much fun. Lots of vendors with local stuff to buy. They had a live concert and DJ beginning at 9pm and it went on until 1 in the morning. The hotel provided us with ear plugs as the concert is directly across the river form the hotel. The pub inside of the restaurant was very fun and they had a tv so we were able to watch the Olympics. There are trails just steps away that has beautiful scenery. The hotel has laundry service, restaurant, pub and a beach area with a bar. We will stay here again next year.
****Also eat at the restaurant across the street called Ekkelenkamp. Get the pancake with everything! See my review. read more
