Totally unexpected we had a business meeting in hotel de Schout in Denekamp which lies in the east of Holland. What a great surprise this was for both of us. We were very hospitable retrieved by the Esther Hermelink, who runs the hotel with her boyfriend. And what a splendid and cosy interior. Seated at the open fire place we tasted a lot of their delicious small bites from their restaurant Oosth.
Absolutely a must if you are looking for a weekend in the peaceful and wooded area of Twente. It is also close to Ootmarsum, the well known picturesque village with all it's artists and galleries. Or you can use it as an ultimate stop-over on your way to Germany.
I haven't stayed for a night so that is why i couldn't give them 5 stars. Hopefully in the near future! But i think it is definitely worthwhile to stay at this hotel. read more
