Booked a night at Hotel Clybaun, and unfortunately, we were not overly thrilled with our accommodations. They are in the middle of renovationg the hotel, but it lacks charm and character with modern amenities found in some of the older hotels. Our room was very clean, but furniture, like the desk, was stained and wood was warped. The television was old school-tiny and with very few channels. The rug was quite old with what looked to be grease stains which were also present on the upholstery on one of the occasional chairs. The bathroom was clean and bright, but the shower curtain was too small and didn't fit snug to the wall, leaving water to spray out and onto the floor when showering. The shower curtain also lacked a liner, which was gross to me! My husband and I were unable to get Internet connection in our room, which was annoying and a little odd since you usually can get a password at the front desk to allow access. Hotel had a lovely sun room area/deck which was bright and airy, but that didn't really make up for what the hotel lacked in other areas. I will not be back to The Hotel Clybaun, but I hope after their "renovations" are completed, they will have a lot more to offer their guests. read more
