    Getting ready for the game...

One of the best hotels in Portugal. The views and location are great. Would recommend to anyone and can't wait to be back!

A fantastic hotel and resort located on the seafront of Cascais in Portugal. It's a fairly large hotel but feels very cozy and comfortable at the same time. The rooms are big and very well appointed. The bed is super comfortable and I had a small balcony facing onto a nice garden. The staff here are very nice and friendly and the facilities here are very good. There are two pools one indoor and one outdoor with a couple of restaurants and bars. There is also a spa and gym. It's a short walk to the town of Cascais with lots of bars and restaurants. The food here was great as was the conference facilities. I was here for a conference and it was very well taken care of by the hotel staff. The bar staff were also very friendly and helpful. I would happily come here again. It's reasonably priced for what it offers and it's a beautiful hotel.

One of the best hotels, sheer luxury. The pool alone would draw you in but the service, class and amenities will keep you feeling like it's money well spent. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal! I was nannying a 3 year old and she loved picking healthy fruit options along with little pancakes and sweeter choices. The Water Spa was lovely as well, but we did have a slight mishap while I was there and I was locked in the bathroom. The locks in the bathroom were tricky but they were able to break the door down and stay with the little one until they could safely get me out. That was stressful, but it was okay in the end.

Staying at Hotel Cascais Miragem couldn't have been better. The beauty of the place was apparent from the moment I walked in and everything lived up to my first impression. Most importantly was the staff. From the front desk, to the bar, to the pool to room service, they were consistently professional, friendly and attentive. The hotel itself is decorated in a comfortable, modern and artistic way; nothing is generic. With sea views, a spa like no other, an outdoor pool, places to relax and enjoy some food and drink and even a television lounge that felt like a friend's living room, I almost didn't want to leave. But because it's so conveniently located, a quick walk to the beach, shops and restaurants was easy to do. When I return to Portugal and stay in the Lisboa/Cascais area, this is the only hotel I'll stay at.

From check-in to check out there were plenty of staff available at the front to assist with baggage. We made use of the spa including 60 min massages which were very relaxing and included 30 minutes of tea time before and after the massage. We also used the dynamic indoor heated pool which is free to access for hotel guests. The food at breakfast is fresh, large amount of choices. The seats in the breakfast area are older with reduced support, one day we came later and were seated in the four seasons grill dining area which has much more comfortable seating. We also enjoyed the food at Organic Caffe in the spa building, room service and a dinner at Grill Four Seasons which is by reservation only. The loss of one star is for the overall age of the hotel. We could see cracks in the walls of our hotel room, the bed is uncomfortable with a large spring mattress and thin foam mattress pad on top - uncomfortable for side sleepers. However we had our room serviced and the cleaning staff was excellent.

The hotel boasts some serious history, you've got to take a walk around and look at the all the pictures, and artifacts in display. The morning breakfast was fantastic. The bar served up some great cocktails too. The rooms are on the small side but they have so much richness to them. There is a golf course associated with the hotel as well that was fun to play! 10/10 would return!

Just my opinion but it's truly great thing when we get out of our comfort zones and embrace local cultures. This hotel is centrally located to the water and just far enough from town to be a quiet break from town. No irons in room and no irons available so don't expect to get one. Need something ironed? Front desk drop off only.

Let's start with the good: -Very clean…read more-Incredibly friendly staff (special shout-out to the evening front desk manager who helped us navigate the trains and even gave us his fare card) -good location (very easy walk to downtown and near lots of museums) -incredible view Okay, so now onto the not so good: -It appears much more spacious online. There is only one restaurant and one bar (pool bar was closed for the season by the time we traveled). Also, the restaurant is only an over-priced buffet for all meals. No thanks! They claim to have a jacuzzi, but we never did find it. The room was not nearly as large was depicted. -Now onto the room...the bed was rock hard! It was like sleeping on a board. Plus the sheet was too short for the bed so your feet got caught on it each night. Our room was supposed to have a queen bed...it was two independent twin beds shoved together and made separately. This was fine, as I was traveling with my mom, but still odd. We had a kitchenette...the fridge door kept falling off (even after asking for repairs) and the oddest set of dishes to fill it. No knife for cutting. No wine glasses (but we did have ice cream sundae glasses?). No way to make coffee or tea. No free safe...daily fee that amounted to nearly 20 euro for the week. Very poor lighting with questionable safety on some of the lamps. The tub sat at such a height difference above the floor that getting out (without handrails) was always precarious. -Other stuff: Breakfast was included for most but not us (we were using TimeShare points). This was really disappointing and made for uncomfortably hungry mornings. Plus, without a way to make coffee in the room, this really sucked. In all, if I were to return to Cascais, I would not plan to stay here. There are plenty of other options in this adorable little town.
