I visited Rome for the first time in my life on Saturday and we spent a few days at Hotel Bella Vita. This hotel is not located in the heart of downtown by any means but it is located near several restaurants, shops, and of course a few places to get some top notch gelato. This hotel is not massive but does feature a decent size lobby, a small breakfast area, a large courtyard, and roughly 20 rooms. Our room was a decent size for two people and did the job. The beds weren't the comfiest but from what I've gathered they are pretty standard in Italy. Similar to the beds the breakfast offered for free at the hotel was pretty standard to Italy but not something I was huge on (mostly pastries/fruit). What I really liked about this hotel was the staff and just how friendly they were from start to finish. Not only did they answer any questions we had or point us in the right direction of something to eat, but they even helped us schedule a tour and get us some transportation to it.
Overall, this hotel is by no means a 5 star resort but it's a good price, not far from the downtown area, offers free breakfast, and has some terrific people working the counter. If you are coming to the area I would definitely recommend giving this place a try! read more
