    Here I come, Hotel Arista!
    Hellene D.

So the BFF and I planned a girls' weekend away, but close enough that we didn't have to drive too far. Upon doing my research, I discovered Hotel Arista in Naperville. It had decent reviews, was not excessively priced, and was only 25 minutes away from Lemont. The hotel also houses various restaurants, a coffee shop, a gym, and a spa, all on site. No need to drive anywhere! Excellent choice, Hellene. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a lovely doorman who opened the door for me. Classy. Check in didn't take long and the gentlemen assisting were very sweet. I ran back to my car in order to retrieve my belongings and the helpful doorman even offered to assist. Nice touch, but I'm quite the feminist and work out so I declined said offer. Up to the 11th floor I went and arrived at 1109. I heard some loud sounds eminating from my weekend retreat. Turns out they had music playing on the TV with an awesome greeting individualized with my first and last name. Fancy. I had requested a refrigerator and microwave and that was what I also got. The view from the Ultra rooms isn't to die for, but we did have some fun looking out at 88 at night after a few drinks. The bathroom was very nice, with separate stalls for a shower and bathroom. The tv in the mirror was definitely cool. My BFF later arrived and loved the room also. Before we started our weekend shenanigans we both figured we would be "healthy" and work out at the gym for an hour or two. The gym was right down the hall from the spa. Christine(personal trainer) introduced herself and showed us around the gym. It was very clean, had updated workout equipment, as well as awesome views. In addition, there were sanitation and water stations. My kind of gym! After a decent sweat we went back to our room for a bit. The one caveat I did not like is that we could not retrieve our own ice. I appreciated them bringing it to us, but felt so guilty that I never carry cash and could not therefore tip. The ice bucket and glasses they brought were very nice, though. (I will be writing separate reviews on all of the other places we visited during the weekend). We ate dinner at Citygate Grille across the street(hotel staff actually offered to drive us!). In the morning we grabbed breakfast and coffee from Lavazzo. Later we hit up the Arista Spa for a few hours and then dined at Che Figuata. Sunday morning we grabbed breakfast(early lunch) and coffee again from Lavazzo and packed up our belongings after a late check out request(it was the morning after the time change, I don't do mornings!). The hotel is also very environmental. One of the options they tote is to decline housekeeping services if staying 2 or more nights. To put a cherry on top they offer you a $5 gift card if you do so. Woohoo! Took advantage of that. What an awesome weekend at Hotel Arista! All of the staff were incredible and treated us so well. I will definitely return.

Enjoyed a 2 night stay here. Upon check in, there was an empty glass on the floor outside our room. It was still sitting there the next morning & we had to tell the front desk. Overall though, no other complaints. We enjoyed soaking in the tub, and enjoyed being able to walk over and get coffee in the morning at Lavazza next door. Wouldn't mind coming back & staying again sometime!

This hotel is spectacular!!!! The water pressure was excellent - the finest sheets - the decor - the quality TV in the room AND a little one on the mirror in the bathroom too! It's just a beautiful room. It's Christmas time right now - and the holiday decorations are beyond classy. We visited during the pandemic - so we couldn't eat inside of the restaurants - but they delivered to our room and the food was excellent! The menu is modern Italian. The Lavazzanna coffee shop is great too. In quality it rivals any big chain 5 star hotel - but the PEOPLE make it head and shoulders ABOVE the likes of Ritz Carlton and the like. We were greeted yesterday by a kind man who was professional and charming (taking our temp) and introduced us to the two front desk ladies - after checking in we also spoke with the room service ordering food and asking for housekeeping to bring us a coffee machine. Everything was SO PERFECT at this hotel. My goodness what an experience. Family owned too! If you are staying in Naperville - THIS is an amazing experience!!! Well done Hotel Arista!!! And thank you to your whole team for such a lovely experience!

Wow! Visiting Naperville please consider this is an option. I had an amazing stay. From the moment I walked across the street until the moment I checked out. Their service was extraordinary. I mean lemon water when you get off the elevator, rooms decor was nice. Tv welcomes you with your full name :) everything you need is there for you. They have 3 onsite restaurants and will shuttle you to the furthest one. They gave great recommendations about the area and knew of my company as well. I am pleased. The soaker tub was beautiful and all in all - it was a great cozy stay. Will definitely use when I return

Love it here. There are some really good restaurants in the lobby area. The staff here was great. In the morning there is coffee in the lobby area. Parking is right out the door if you get lucky. If not they have a parking deck. I got lucky and parked right up front. The room was very large. I was on the 11th floor. Clean and great bed. I will stay again.

View from our room. Convenient to highway.

I've had this hotel bookmarked for a year, knowing that on my next trip to Naperville, I wanted to give it a try. Their rates were a bit high, but dropped a week before my trip. Conveniently located right off the highway. There are some parking spots on the street in front of the hotel, but they were full. There's a large garage behind the hotel to park and fortunately they don't charge, but you'll have a bit of a walk. Check-in was a breeze and staff was friendly. Room was nice and bedding was comfortable. For the most part I would describe the hotel a 4 star experience. So why 3 stars? Husband had left a shirt behind in the closet. We called to see if they could ship. Their process involved us prepaying a shipping label and sending to them AND they wanted to charge to put the shirt in the prepaid box. Poor form for customer service and repeat business. So we had a family member pick-up instead. We travel to the area at least once a year and I thought I'd found a new hotel, but I'll probably go back to the Hyatt.

Thank you Hotel Arista for having me this was a wonderful staycation / Hotel stay attending my woman's reset and relax conference this weekend Top Notch service impeccable accommodations this weekend was kind of busy weekend while I saw a wedding and Quinceanera . The Arista prides their self on going the extra extra mile for their guest Arista rep person was Miss Caitlin who was absolutely amazing always smiling so hospitable always asking if she can do something else answered all my questions made me feel like I was in very very good hands I'm going to let my pictures speak for themselves I cannot put into words how beautiful and how make significant this hotel was it's tucked away you wouldn't even know that it existed isn't actually in and corporate area of Naperville not in a hotel district has a restaurant connected to it and also a bar everything that I was looking for 24-Hour room service a gym and pool I'm not sure if I was there basically staying for Conference so those amenities I did not mean but I love the in room mirror in the bathroom I love the personalized greeting on a flat screen TV I love having so many outlets in order to close up all your gadgets and I love the prompt service whenever I needed something delivered to my room five stars

BITTERSWEET SYMPHONY…read more Mesón Sabika is a truly beloved restaurant with whom I have a complicated history. ______________________ ***REVIEW #1,300*** ______________________ As hundredth milestone reviews go, this one is deeply personal -- I was supposed to have my wedding & reception here in March 2020.  That never happened due to things far beyond my control (damn pandemic) and I've been not-so-secretly pining for that moment ever since. I wound up tying the knot with the love of my life at a nearby park but without any of the fanfare, guests, food, liquor, live band, florist, or photographer.  We had already placed a sizeable deposit on a food & bev package, so when Mesón management abruptly raised the prices on us by 20% due to "volatile market pricing", we accepted a buyout in the form of gift certificates. Between dine-in and carryout orders, over the next 18 months we ate here a LOT.....I'll admit it was fun treating family & friends to dinner with reckless abandon.  Each experience was great, from the service and ambiance to the small plates and sangria.  We did get pretty ill following one visit, although I suspect it came from another guest in the vicinity, rather than a bout of food poisoning. The picturesque mansion - built in 1847 - is elegant but cramped inside, so I recommend dining on the gorgeous patio if weather permits.  Prices for tapas are the same regardless of lunch or dinner, although they do have entree specials unique to both meals (and their delicious paella is exclusive to dinnertime). Without going into crazy detail about each cold dish (of which there are 15) or hot tapas (of which there are 23), I'll call out a few highlights: the bacon-wrapped dates ($14), the duck confit ($16), the cold garlic potato salad ($15), goat cheese w/poached pear ($15), cured salmon in dill cream cheese ($14) and grilled skirt steak ($19). Their paella is great and feeds 3-4 people; I recommend the 'campesina' ($25 with chicken & chorizo) unless you're big on seafood, in which case the 'mariscos' ($42 with shrimp, mussels, clams, scallops, and octopus) might be up your alley.  Desserts are splendid, especially the crème brûlée ($12) and the pear tart ($12). The servers are all male (it's a Catalan thing) and very attentive.  Order a pitcher of white or red house sangria and let all your troubles melt away until you're set adrift on memory bliss.  Or until they kick you out. * TL;DR * Just like the 'tarta de chocolate' on their dessert menu, Mesón stirs up feelings in me that are poignantly bittersweet. On one hand, I've been here 10 times and have nothing but praise for the kitchen + atmosphere.  On the other hand, whenever I see the staff prepping the adjacent event space for a wedding, I get wistful and cry a teeny bit inside.  Couldn't the COVID outbreak have waited one more month, until after my nuptials? The restaurant biz is tough with plenty of overhead, but Mesón is still chugging along and serving the same excellent tapas since 1990.  Anyone who's ever dined here can attest it's a gorgeous venue with spectacular food and professional service. I highly recommend Mesón Sabika for lunch or dinner, and if you're considering having a wedding here, do it.  Hopefully you'll have better luck than me.

It was perfect for our 15 mo. There was plenty of seating and tables for parents, plus a designated area for parties, which is a nice touch. They also have a solid menu with coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, and options for kids. I only tried the coffee which was good, and the food looked great from what I saw. They do require kids to wear grippy socks. We didn't come prepared, but they had them available for just $1.99. I did notice a few kids without them, so it doesn't seem heavily enforced. Also, parents will need to remove their shoes. One of the best parts was that there's no time limit on play, and they allow in-and-out access, which makes it really easy if you're juggling errands or a toddler's schedule. Once getting inside, we put our belongings in a few cubbies (Chicago winter bulk), and checked in. I signed a waiver for my daughter on an iPad that I returned to the cafe counter -- no separate registration area. You can pretty much see the entire space when you walk in. There are three themed play scenes (firehouse with brick-looking blocks inside, a medical area, and a farmers market corner. Additionally, there are two indoor climbing gyms, a ball pit connected to a large play vehicle via slide, and a more protected area for kids under 36 months that was more cushioned. A party room to the left when you enter. Our kiddos loved the many play vehicles that were scattered throughout the space. There's also a large inflated inner tube with handrails for kids to safely jump. We also had a lot of fun with the red vehicles that can set up at the top of two gentle ramps. My toddler requested to go down the ramp several times; "more more!". This play space was definitely had more cafe seating than I expected, with 4 couches in a row even facing the play area with coffee tables out in front. The avocado sandwich my sister and I split was delicious. Nicely toasted, packed with fresh ingredients and a tasty alioli with a hint of spice. It tasted like it was made from scratch and with love. One of the better sandwiches I've ever had at a cafe! Staff were friendly and attentive too. All in all, the set up is great for parents and toddlers. I wish there was a station for dirty toys that have been chewed on/put in ones mouth but I can see that the primary age group for this playcafe is 3+. We had a great time and I would consider coming back again, especially as our little ones can play more and more independently.

I would make it easy by breaking down my rating into a few categories. 1) hotel location This is located in Warrenville, close to Naperville, but definitely far from the Chicago city downtown (approximately 40 min drive). Most guests were traveling by car. Hence, parking space was ample to accommodate customers staying at both Hyatt Place/Hyatt House. The hotel didn't offer airport shuttle, stated in their website site. Shuttle bus service to nearby places, with 5 miles I believe, was available upon request. 2) check-in The receptionist told us that the room wasn't ready when we came in around 3:15pm, so we were told to wait at least for 20 minutes or would be offered a different type of room (basically the same setup, except there was no separate bedroom). The wait wasn't awful, yet I was expecting the room would be ready when the check-in hour began. The receptionist was beyond courteous and friendly and let us have the beverages and snacks in their market place fridge while we waited. Fortunately, the kids weren't acting up and quietly played their newly-bought toys. 3) the room I booked the one-bedroom, with a separate living room, kitchen, and dining area. The room appeared clean at the first glance. However, there were details missed on the carpet, underneath the dining table booth, and the cover on top of the convertible sofa bed, for a good number of hair strings, stains, and dust were found. Speaking of the sofa bed, it wasn't that comfortable due to the quality of mattress attached to it. If you are one of the individuals who care about the sleep quality or are staying for a longer duration, spending an additional $100 to upgrade to a two-bedroom might be necessary. In our case, we were doing alright since the sofa bed was in a much lower platform than the regular king bed. With that said, our petite 2-year old was able to climb to the sofe bed without assistance. 4) surrounding noise I'm guilty to say that we were probably the noise-makers, if any hotel patron heard us. We were parents with 2 young children and they were definitely playful and throwing tantrums from time-to-time. Otherwise, being bothered by noises shouldn't a concern at all while staying here. 5) amenities and free hot breakfast The hotel basics, such as a gym, an indoor pool, a small bar in the dining area were available but we didn't use it. Nevertheless, we took advantage of the breakfast and that was great and our kids enjoyed the offerings as well. The only very, very slight disappointment was that there was no made-to-order omelet station like what I experienced in some other Hyatt hotel chains in the past, and that was totally an-OK. 6) so why 3.5 stars? The room keys were deactivated early after myself and my partner finished the breakfast with each of our children downstairs. My key was deactivated mysteriously after I took our younger one for a walk in the morning. Luckily, my partner and our older one were in the room at that tine so there was no problem. Likewise, the similar scenario happened to my partner/older son, so we avoided having to ask the front desk for help yet that was strange. Ultimately, the rating was downgraded due to the overall cleaniness of the room. It absolutely could use more attention or it might be time to change out the in-room carpet. I booked the room with my company leisure travel discount and the price was reasonable in my opinion. It was our first time taking kids for an overnight suburb stay and it went well. I would still recommend Hyatt House Chicago/Naperville/Warrenville for traveling as a family or a group.
