Here's a version that feels more direct, more personal, and less polished-for-brochure:…read more I stay in a lot of luxury hotels around the world. Asia, the Middle East, Europe, the US. Enough that I think I have a pretty good barometer for what is genuinely five-star and what is just marketed that way. Victoria Jungfrau in Interlaken is the real thing. What stood out wasn't one flashy moment. It was the consistency and attention to detail from every single member of staff I interacted with. That kind of alignment doesn't happen by accident. It reflects culture and leadership. There's something here that feels like old-school European excellence in hospitality. Service that is confident, calm, precise, and not overly theatrical. It feels intentional. Lara at reception was excellent. Professional, efficient, and warm without being overdone. Check-in was smooth and polished, but never stiff. Chantal at concierge was exceptional. She noticed me every time I walked into the hotel. Not occasionally. Every time. She remembered what she had arranged, followed up naturally, and clearly paid attention. That level of detail is rare, even at top-tier properties. It made a difference. I genuinely felt that she wanted my experience in Interlaken to be great, not just adequate. In a world where many luxury hotels rely on branding and design to carry the experience, Victoria Jungfrau delivers through people. That's harder to manufacture. And it shows.

The back of the hotel has amazing wooded Mountain Views, the front including the dining room faces the Jungfrau and landing site for paragliders in the park. Rooms modern but elegant and classy. Breakfast buffet is huge; afternoon tea extensive. Played billiards and swam every day. Centrally located but quiet rooms. Pricey but worth it for a world class experience!

We stayed in this lovely hotel in Lauterbrunnen in early March. The rooms were charming and unique,…read moreso unlike the large chain hotels. It was clean and the bedding was SO comfortable! Our room had a good sized balcony with table and chair and absolutely breathtaking views of the mountains. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk to the train station as well as the gondola to ride up the mountain. Also close to shopping at three coop store. Breakfast was included and was excellent. Coffee and tea available 24/7 in the lobby. Staff super helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Loved our stay at this property in Lauterbrunnen. Not sure how/why, but we ended up with the 007…read more(James Bond) suite. Smelled faintly of cigarette smoke (rooms are non-smoking, but they allow smoking on the balconies), but I just kept the window open and that helped. The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the falls. Usually we don't like to eat at the hotels where we stay (unless we have to), but the restaurant here was top notch. Liked it so much we ate there 2 of the three nights we were in town. I had the deer both nights, absolutely scrumptious). Their pizzas seem popular, though we did not have one. Super conveniently located across the street from the train station and next to the cable car up to Murren and next to the Coop Grocery (easy to pick up snacks or a bottle of wine). Not for the faint of heart, though. Dragging our bags up the hill to the property was a job - thankfully we were up to it, but if you're booking keep your fitness level in mind (or maybe the hotel offers some sort of help? I didn't ask.) I would definitely recommend staying here. If ever back in Lauterbrunnen, I would stay again.

This was my favorite hotel during my amazing Europe tour. This is more than a hotel it's a family…read morehouse, our tour group took up most of the rooms. My room was in the adjoining building, just past the dinner room. No elevators in this hotel. I was on the third floor, all those steps just mean a better view and that it was. I had a long balcony off the bathroom with the most inconvenient views of the snow covered mountains. Such fresh crisp air. My room was very big, queen sized bed, two chairs and a dresser with a tv... never turned it on lol. Huge bathroom with an old fashioned tub/ shower. Everything worked great. Hot shower and a comfy bed. We had a buffet breakfast each morning with everything you would need. We enjoyed an amazing homemade dinner. The best food in Switzerland. I had to go back for seconds. This place is located in a cute town that was easy to walk around. With to mini marts... great prices on snacks and alcohol. The train station is so easy to access, we took this to Jungfrau and to near by towns like Interlaken. Beautiful outside garden out back of hotel, along with a jacuzzi. Sign up at reception for a time. There's a small room with a bar in the hotel, great beer and cocktails. The entire town shuts down by 10 pm. People are very respectful of this . The staff here made us all feel so welcomed, for being here only a few days they become family. I will be back.

This is our home away home for two days in Switzerland…read more I heard that the owner and founder of travel tour agency (expat) we used for our Europe tour co -owns the hotel. He tends the garden himself whenever he visits the country as we were told. Part of our package was a stay and dinner/breakfast at this place. Our party of three got the top floor, three single beds in a room the end of the hall with a very nice view of the community and the mountain. The windows were wide enough to enjoy the view and felt the crisp air as we opened it up the moment we walked in. The room is spacious. We have our own bathroom/shower. The other room next to us has a balcony which I wish we had too. Our room doesn't need an air conditioning besides we do not see any system in reference to, the weather was cold during our visit. The weather here was gorgeous and smells clean. Welcoming lounges, big backyard garden, breakfast nook outside and a Jacuzzi are extras for the hotel. Nice innkeeper and staff welcomed us and serviced us during the stay. The breakfast and dinner meals included with our package were quite remarkable. The restaurant and the bar are modest in size. Having meal in a different country with the feel of being a local in terms of its food and the ambiance were something unique for an experience. The fondue and their schnitzel were good. I enjoyed most our host whom prepared some exciting thing while we were dining and dressed up with their traditional costume. Few hundreds steps away from the train station and the grocery stores were nearby. Quiet neighborhood and seemed very safe to be here. Well recommended place to stay especially if wanted to be near to the Interlaken area. No lift though is available but the staff is willing to carry your luggage's if happen to be assigned on the higher floor.
