We stayed here in mid-June 2017. This was on many levels a lovely hotel. Our room was small but attractive and neat. The food in the restaurant was generally good, and the views from the deck are stunning.
But the flies. I've never seen so many flies. Our room was infested with them so badly we couldn't sleep. The hotel had put fly paper in the room, but it didn't achieve much. The restaurant was infested so badly we couldn't enjoy our meals - flies dropping into our wine, stuck in the butter.
With no air conditioning or even fans, the only option was to open the windows. But with no screens, the fly problems just got worse.
We prepaid for three nights but left after two. The hotel mistakenly charged us for one night on check-out. So far they refused outright to refund the third night for which we'd prepaid, and almost three months later they haven't refunded the extra night charged at check-out.
This is all disappointing. Window screens and better managed accounting would have made this a good experience instead of a very unacceptable one. read more
