My husband and I stayed here for two nights with our tour group. The hotel grounds are nice and modern in decor with a few restaurants located inside. Location was ideal for us because it's within walking distance to a few grocery stores, restaurants, shops, and most landmarks in Lucerne. In addition, the staff are friendly and welcoming.
The room we had was small and had two twin beds. My husband and I basically just put both beds together. Our room included a small desk, chair, and a flat screen TV. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of counter space.
Some issues we came across:
- We stayed on the 5th floor and heard music from the club that was ongoing throughout the night, which kept us up at night.
- The AC/heater was not working in our room. My husband had one of the employees even take a look at it and he couldn't figure it out. He advised us to keep the window open in the meantime. But what made it worse was that if we left the window open, we could hear the music from the club and street traffic.
- The bathtub was awkwardly built where you had to be careful to get in and out of the tub or else you'll slip and fall.
- The water never consistently stayed warm. So when my husband was in the shower, I couldn't wash my hands or else the water turned cold immediately.
- The Wifi was spotty and worked every now and then.
Overall, we had an OK stay. I'm giving this place only three stars for the friendly staff. If my husband and I ever do come back to visit Lucerne, we'll likely be staying somewhere else. read more
