Just had this delivered tonight. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich made the classic way and some Mac n' cheese. The sandwich is very disappointing. Almost no flavor at all. We got the 8 piece wings combo in buffalo + 2 tender combo in extra hot and added an extra sauce & extra pickles. The wings were saucy and delicious! Tenders in extra hot were perfect for me (I like spicy so be cautious if you get this flavor). We called ahead and ordered and it took us about 10 minutes to get there + we waited maybe about 7 minutes from the time we arrived to get our food. First off customer service was great. The guy at the cashier was very nice, gave recommendations and didn't make us feel rush. We ordered the chicken Rico, and a tender/sandwich combo w/Mac and cheese and coleslaw. Everything was fresh, the chicken was juicy. Surprisingly I enjoyed the Cole slaw, which is rare. Mac and cheese was just ok, could've used a little more salt but still edible. I almost forgot about the mango ice cream, it was so refreshing, GET A LARGE!!! Overall I enjoyed the food and service. Dropped off a package next door and saw this place and loved that the menu was plastered all over the windows and with big pictures. It looked appetizing and I wanted to be able to support more local restaurants. Came in on a Saturday night and it wasn't overly crowded but busy. While speaking to the staff, he mentioned that they have been open for only two weeks. Unfortunately we were told they were short staffed but I was thankful he was courteous of my time and was honest. I placed an order for a 4 pack which was 4 chicken strips, fries, coleslaw and texas toast, along with shosho fries which was fries, mac n cheese with chicken. Both orders were mild as far as "heat". The wait was a bit, but I didn't mind. We got our order and I swear to you the shosho fries felt like 3lbs. It was packed with so much goodness! Fries on the bottom, super cheesy mac n cheese and chunks of chicken. The cheesy goodness coated each fry, I do wish there were more chicken. That way I can get the perfect bite. This meal portion was huge! I honestly think it could feed four people. As for the 4 pack, it was delicious. The chicken was so moist. Flavorful. Not oily and was mostly chicken and not just bread/crust coating. The fries were cooked well. The coleslaw and toast were delicious. Only issue I had was that "mild" wasn't as "mild" as other places. Good flavor but no slight kick. Next time I'll order it up a notch or two. Friendly/honest staff. Fresh food made to order. Couldn't go wrong at this place! Try them out! read more

The customer service is great we were greeted with a smile and information about the menu. The vibe in there was chill and everyone was chowing down on the food. It was clean and organized. Ok, let me tell you: their heat is different from others'. I got the smoky hot and the hot, and I can say the Smokey is really flavorful, but that hot is too hot for me. I was able to switch otbout for the lite which was good. I love hot food so if you're looking for a good Smokey and Hot, then order that if you want hot then order hot. I really wanted to like this restaurant as it is a local business, but a year later Melissa A's 1 star review is dead-on accurate. I don't know about "Indian spices", but the chicken was tough and had almost burnt flavor, I am thinking this flavor is what she was referring to. The Mac and cheese is not good as described, they should look for a new recipe. It is not hard to make a decent Mac and cheese. Toast was not buttered and dry. The fry's were basic. The one bright spot was coleslaw, it was excellent. The service was good too. I hope they can improve food as I would rather spend my money on a local mom and pop and not a chain restaurant. If the owner reads this please take a trip to Pasadena and try Howlin Rays, they nail it. I'll keep an eye on the reviews and give it another try if I hear things have improved. read more

First let me preface this review with the fact that the hubz and I are no strangers to hot chicken. We've had Dave's, Chubby's and Popeyes. I would say if you like Dave's this place is comparable, but this place has a larger variety of options and their sauce and ranch tastes homemade. I got the strips and fries and my husband got two sandwiches and fries. It was a lot of food so we could've shared. But where this place really shined was their customer service. They gave us a sample of Mac and cheese and honestly wanted to know our thoughts. I waited in the car with our dog and the owner came out to greet me. I cannot really speak to the ambience because we took it home but the quality of the food and great customer service will keep us coming back. Wow what is the deal with all these 5 star reviews! Seriously, are these Bots or what incentive are these people getting? I just have to be honest, the food is AWFUL. The first weird thing was how we were the only one in the place waiting for our food and it took oddly long. We got the 6 piece tender box with side of Mac and cheese and extra Texas Toast that you would think would be buttered . Who makes Texas toast with no butter? The tasteless watery Mac and Cheese had absolutely no flavor. The Chicken has a weird taste with a weird texture similar to imitation crab meat as if they inject the chickens with too many hormones and the chicken just ain't chicken anymore. It was a spicy Dry Rub of Strong Cumin and other Indian Seasoning Flavor . I like a bit of Cumin on certain food but not so extremely overpowering on everything . There was even Cumin on my daughter's chicken strips that were supposed to be plain with no seasoning at all. Even the fries had Cumin. It's almost like they couldn't help it , Cumin all over the cooking area so it was all over our food . read more
