    Hot tacos need cool drinks!

Viva la drain pipe! No matter where you are in the world, it seems Taco restaurants just seem to pop up EVERYWHERE! Same in Nürnberg...so we thought we'd give it a try! First things first - the food is fantastic. You can chose between Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas (and some more) and fillings such as turkey, chili con carne, etc. We chose burritos, and I was pleasantly surprised. Not your mushy, all-thrown-in-together, too-much-rice, kinda thing, but a really yummy lunch, where you can actually taste the individual ingredients. Crispy, at times soft, fresh sauces, fresh everything - yumminess all around! What's a bit confusing is figuring out what your meal will cost. You can see the menu hanging above the counter, with lots of illustrative pictures and descriptions, but it's a bit difficult to make out what everything costs. The staff was great - friendly, chatty, cheery - even giving us tips on how to properly eat a taco (without the stuffing ending up in your face, your clothes or the table). Seldom had such enthusiastic people behind the counter. Admittedly, it takes a while until you get your food, but I'm sure everyone will survive waiting for 5 minutes. It is definitely not a cheap snack for in between, a burrito and drink will easily get you to 9€ (chose the menu and add a side on top for another 1€) per person - but it's worth it. And it's enough for a proper lunch anyway. Bottom line: * Fantastic burritos (fresh and yummy) * Great & funny staff * Awesome Mexican-style atmosphere - well not really that authentic... * ...but the cactus made of painted green drain pipes is pretty epic! * Prices are okay-ish, once you figured out what you have to pay * Location is a bit small, but otherwise pretty cool

Came here after reading all of the positive reviews. The reviews were accurate. The food is fresh and nicely prepared by caring people. Since we are in Europe we should not expect American prices (cheaper). I mean I could get a doner across the street from this place for a few Euros less. That should not take away from he Mexican food experience to be had here at hot tacos. What will take away is the slightly bland flavoring. Anyway all in all it was alright.

Great place to pick up a quick bite on the way home. But it's not real Mexican Food if that's what you are looking for.

While on a recent trip to Nuremberg, I found myself a guest of the Klinikum Nuremberg Nord. Having…read morehad my fill of hospital, after only two days, I escaped to find something palatable. I did a Google search and was surprised to find Crazy Nate's West Coast Tacos was only one block away. Now, I've tried numerous so-called 'Mexican Restaurants' all over the World, so I was skeptical at best. That said, I would have eaten just about anything, after suffering through two days of hospital food. Walking into Crazy Nate's West Coast Tacos, I was immediately surprised, when I heard a fella greet me, with a distinctive American accent. I thought 'hey, wait a minute. This might just be pretty good.' Nate reminds me of the typical California surfer type with his liberal use of the word 'dude.' You can almost smell the Pacific Ocean on him. Looking around the place, there were dining tables with snowboards as seats, wall art reminiscent of street graffiti, as well as other wall art like skateboards, Mexican religious icons and even a picture of Dolly Parton. With the excellent selection of music playing, the atmosphere was trendy and quaint. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but as the outdoor tables were all full, I chose a nice table by an open window. A wide selection of beer and even the famous Mexican cola, Jarritos is available, along with frozen margaritas. I was excited to see the fresh salsa bar, but due to Covid-19, it was closed. While the menu had a good selection of items, as it was Taco Tuesday, and it is after all called Crazy Nate's West Coast Tacos, who am I to fight the system? So, up at the counter, I ordered three 'Crazy Nate Tacos' and a Modelo beer. At only €10.00, I found the price to be very reasonable being Europe. I'm sure I'd be paying a comparable price in the US. Instead of numbers for your order, you're given a laminated card with a variety of notable characters on them. Mine was none other than Elwood Blues, one of the Blues Brothers, the characters created by actors John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. When my order was ready for pick up, Nate would shout the name associated with the order. It really livened things up. By 7:30PM, all of the tables, both in and out, were taken. There was even a line of food delivery guys waiting to pick up orders for people who ordered online. As all orders are made fresh and 'to order', the time from when I placed my order and received it was a bit long, but all in all, it was more than worth it. These were the absolute best 'street style' tacos that I'd ever had both in and out of the US. My overall opinion of Crazy Nate's West Coast Tacos is...FANTASTIC! If you're in Nuremberg, Germany, with two locations available, you have to go here. You will not be disappointed. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram, and tell them Bad Monkey Touring sent you.
