I have never given one star to anything, never, there is
always something to be positive about. Unfortunately, yesterday we went to El
Pancho In Nuremberg and it was an awful experience. We had not been there
before as we had not heard great things, not bad, just not that good.
Anyway, we walked
in around 8 pm Saturday night and the place was about half full. We walk to the
tiny bar area and we were looking around and it appeared there was one person
working. The woman asked if we had reservations, we said no, the place was half
empty so not sure it mattered, but anyway, she said to wait a moment as she was
taking a tray of drinks out. I then said something to the effect of we will
wait here or something like that, as she was walking away. She then turned
around, perhaps to hear what I said, I really don't know, and when she did ALL
of the drinks on her tray came crashing down, and things broke and it was quite
a disastrous crash.
Well, instead of
apologizing or just picking it up, she proceeds to yell, scream and curse at my husband and I, saying that WE CAUSED her to drop her tray, it
was absolutely surreal. I was a food server and cocktail server for many, many
years and yes, I have dropped drinks and trays, a few times, but I can't
imagine blaming it on a customer who was five feet away, and yelling at them?
Who does that? It was so awkward and uncomfortable.
In the states I imagine she
would have been fired on the spot, when I was a server, I would not dream of yelling at a customer
or blaming them, even if they physically bumped my tray, like they have done
many times. This was just so odd and out of the ordinary, I feel compelled to
warn other potential diners. read more
