So that means it fish Fridays for me! Well after calling the store yesterday, their beloved Walleye arrived for the lent season. Needles to say, I planned my day around getting a Walleye dinner. In the past it has always been exceptional. Cooked perfectly and delicious. Well, that was not the case this time. I ordered the 3 piece Walleye dinner, so I make it a 2 day meal. First red Flagg, was the increase in price. It really jumped, but I wanted my Walleye. I wait all year long for this, and I bit the bullet and took it home for a feast. I live 20 miles out of town, so I put the pedal to the medal, so it would still be hot. Well, when I opened it up, There were 3 pieces of fish. One large on and 2 very small ones. I guess I should have gotten the 2 piece dinner instead. Being a senior citizen of a very fixed income, that will be the last time I would order the 3 piece dinner. I will stick with the 2 piece or just have the sandwich. The other issue was how it was cooked. It was very greasy, and the filets themselves were not really as thick as they use to be! My question is, did the tariffs have something to due with the huge price increase, and the smaller portions. I believe Culvers gets Walleye from Canada. We see on the internet all the time about fast food chains increasing prices and cutting portion size. I am not giving up on my beloved Walleye. The next time I order a Walleye dinner, I will open it up before I leave. I don't want to be shocked again!!! Please watch the grease, that was never there before. .

It has a large diner style menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner but the inside has the theme more of a malt shop, than a diner. Really cool. Lots and lots of neat stuff, both in and outside of the restaurant. We both had the blue moon, burger, with blue cheese and mushrooms, and a cherry Coke. Not the kind of cherry Coke you would get in the store, a Coke with real cherry syrup like you used to be able to get. It was very good. The burger was juicy, the blue cheese had a nice "funk" to it, and the mushrooms played off of it very well. The veggies were also very fresh. The fries were your standard diner, fries, nothing fancy, but also very good. The prices were reasonable for what we got. There is a gift shop, and it is separate from the restaurant, but they have lots of good stuff. We were very happy with our meal. Thank you.

I learned that you go get your own soda, so I didn't have to wait for a waitress to refill my drink. The frustrating part is that this is one of the few places in Kingman where you can grab a beer and a burger together. I genuinely like the atmosphere, the beer, and the location. When this place first opened, the Beast Burger was incredible. My server today was excellent. They were attentive, friendly, and did everything right. They deserved the tip I left, and I specifically wanted to speak with the manager to compliment them. Unfortunately, I waited quite a while to speak with the manager. When I finally did, he seemed so disconnected that when I said I wanted to compliment my server, he asked, "Who?" There was only one server working the entire dining room. That interaction left me feeling like great employees aren't being noticed or supported. The bigger issue, though, is the food. I've been here multiple times, often when there were fewer than five customers in the building. I always order my burger medium rare, and every single time it has come out well done. I've almost never complained about burger temperature at other restaurants, but this has happened here consistently enough that it's become the reason I don't want to come back. I want to like this place. The beer is good, the location is one of my favorites, and the server today was fantastic. But the lack of teamwork and leadership, combined with consistently overcooked food, has made me decide I'll probably go somewhere else for my burger and beer. I truly hope management invests more in supporting the staff and improving consistency in the kitchen, because this place has the potential to be great again.

The burger had really good flavor, the fries came out super hot and crispy, and their fry sauce is hands-down the best I've ever had. Service was fast, prices were reasonable, and the whole place just felt solid. My only note is that the patty was a little thin for my personal taste -- next time I'll order a double.
