I was surprised at the size of the sandwich as I pulled it out of the bag. A huge part of meal satisfaction is presentation. I unwrapped my burger and quietly giggled. I'm just passing through from the Midwest and am amazed at how expensive stuff is here in sunny California. The value of this burger was off the charts. It outclassed any place in town comparing cost to quality to taste. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. A Food Truck kicked the butt of In@Out and any other brick/mortar place in town. I'd share photos but I already ate the whole damn burger. All I have left is a bunch of messy napkins. Kudos

The Power Plant Coffee and Store- which is directly next to the RinCon & Food Lab truck, has a plethora of plants on the inside- with an artsy, welcoming vibe. The exterior is spacious- with ample seating and unique artwork. To eat, I got the cheeseburger with truffle fries. The cheeseburger was outstanding, the smash patties had crispy, lacy edges and a balanced amount of salt. The cheese was creamy and sharp while the chili depended the flavor profile, giving a smokey, hearty tang to the burger. The buns were buttery and warm and the lettuce was fresh and crunchy. The whole thing was incredible. The service was conversational, friendly and matched the approachability of the restaurant itself.

I chose the fish tacos, and my husband the burger special. Now I have sampled fish tacos all over the Monterey Peninsula and these were by far some of the tastiest I ever had the pleasure of sampling. The fish, rock cod was nicely crisped, and the slaw was crunchy with a wonderful avocado salsa with red onions. It came with a yogurt dill sauce I opted out of which they were more than accommodating to do. YUMMY, and two is plenty, and filling. My husband enjoyed his beautifully presented burger, seriously like something out of a Cuisine Magazine (see photo) and this was accompanied by some very flavorful and crunchy home made chips. Which my husband was kind to share.....a few. Price was 15 for a super loaded, classic papa ,all of the ingredients are exactly what you want on a loaded baked potato, as you can see the portion is enormous. The only critique I would have is that all of the topping felt kind of cold. I know it was a cold day today, but I feel like there was no butter, salt and pepper on the potato before they put all the toppings and maybe the potato was pre-cooked a while ago because as you can see, the cheese wasn't very melted A lot of the potato seemed dry even with all of these toppings.
