The food was really good and they were super nice. Also lots of food options. And always in a convenient location.

While making a quick stop at Pezzini Farms, I noticed a food truck outside advertising fried…read moreartichokes. I'm a sucker for food trucks and a sucker for artichokes, so this was a no brainer for me. $6 for an order of fried artichokes and $1 for French fries. You certainly won't get full from the meal, but being in the artichoke capital of the world (literally) I think it's pretty necessary to get an order or two. We had the Garlic Dijon and the Lemon Dill dipping sauces. They were both really good, but I think we liked the lemon a little better. You can buy any of the dips from the farm at a reasonable price. Sweet lady running the truck which makes you feel even better about making the stop.

Sweet lady running this truck (which I'm guessing jsut stays outside Pezzini Farms although on…read morewheels)... why do I think it doesn't move? Well the front right tire looked pretty darn flat to me and the lady didn't care and it's a great spot to have fried artichokes on hand. I wasn't that hungry yet but as I left Pezzini Farms, I felt like I had to buy some fried artichokes... almost like it was taboo for me not too... (kind of like bowing and doing rituals at temples in Japan even though I'm not religious, it's a cultural awareness/respect thing for me). 10 minutes and $6 got me a small batch of fried artichokes. They get them from Pezzini Farms ( I watched the lady go inside and grab several frozed fried artichokes from the liitle freezer, she must of sold out by the time I got there around 2pm) so why not sell them onsite?!? And... Castroville is the Artichoke Capital period. While waiting I got my money rewady... $6.25 because I saw a sign for extra dipping sauce (25 cents). But they were out of Ranch! Kind of bummed as were all the others waiting with me but we all opted for Garlic Dijon which was delish and pretty much tasted like Ranch with a lot of garilc... not even a hint of Dijon. Fine with me. I ate three and I was full. I saved the rest and just warmed up the other 6 pieces in the oven and fed my roommates. Crispy, hot and still lovely.

Eeks - I've been coming here a long time and appreciate that they are open late night but... $15…read morefor my typical chicken quesadilla is what she just charged me - 1am Saturday night. That's steep! Then when I went to take my food, they questioned whether I'd paid. I'd had to return to my car because they were only accepting cash and then I had to recount that I'd given her two 5s and five 1s in bills. I wasn't familiar with those workers and I do understand I'm a gringa but, really weird visit. It may be time to start trying other options. Might see ya here.

I also ordered sour cream added to each item and even ordered an extra sour cream somehow. I received an Asada burrito, which was not a super and no sour cream whatsoever (was missing sour cream, cheese, and avocado ). The charge for sour cream was $6 and a regular burrito is $14. I paid $18 for a super and got a regular. So besides the $10 extra for nothing I paid for, the tortillas on both burritos were very overcooked and the burritos themselves were dry. It would've been very different if I would've ordered when I wasn't working all night and can't leave to point out what was wrong, but I was at work working night shift at the hospital and got these terrible burritos. This was just plain mean and showed the poor quality of workers. Here is a receipt of my purchase, a picture of what I got and a picture of the description of what a super burrito should be.
