I like a plain simple hotdog and that's what I ordered. I was hoping for the poppyseed bun, but these were OK but the hotdog was the hit. It had that crunch and was perfect. Fries were great, but I took him to go and eating in the car is not the same. It has skin on it and they were fried perfectly only slightly over salted which next time I may say less salt as they were very good.

It's your regular, run of the mill inner city spot with your staples (fried foods, gyros, cheesesteak, etc). The main difference is that they do it RIGHT. I opted for the meat lovers sandwich (gyro, Italian beef, and steak) and a Reuben to split with a friend. The meat lovers sandwich ($12) was amazing and an abundant amount of food. Elite gardinera really pops the sandwich off as well. The Reuben ($8) was suitable, but not spectacular. Rather than 1000 island, they opt for mustard and mayo for the sandwich, giving it a mighty different taste. One final thing of note: The last time I went into Pappy's in person (maybe 4 months ago or so) the dining room was STILL closed due to Covid. The parking lot is small and cramped during busy times as well, so be prepared to potentially have to park on the streets.

The service is just okay, and there is not much seating available, but since it is basically a corn dog style snack, it is easy to grab and eat while walking around. I usually get either the mozzarella or cheddar dog and load it up with toppings. One is usually filling enough unless you are really hungry. I still have not tried the dessert dog, which seems newer on the menu, but I definitely want to at some point. I would recommend giving this place a try if you have never had a Korean hot dog before.

The Polish Pierogies are amazing a stuff full of meat and tender beyond belief. The Hungarian Goulash is amazing with tasty chunks of beef that is both tender and flavorful coupled with veggies that melt in your mouth. The Cabbage rolls are also very hefty and packed full of flavor. The only complaint (not really) is the huge amount of choices readily available for diners. Making decisions and controlling oneself will prove very difficult. The bakery is heavenly with fruit filled Danishes that caress the taste buds. The highlight is the Napoleanka Custard cake/pie which is one of the best tasting desserts known in history! We ordered the pastrami brisket (Reuben style), a Ukrainian sausage, a kale salad, sauerkraut, one meat peroigi, and meat/tomato cabbage roll. The pastrami was so tender and flavorful. Nice and warm on toas ted rye. The sausage had a great snap and great flavor. The peroigi was underwhelming for us. Just ok. Kale salad and sauerkraut were good. My favorite was the cabbage roll. A little sweet from the cabbage, tangy from the tomato sauce, and savory and comforting. Drinks are self serve.

(Probably good cuz you gotta work off the calories from those malts...) I actually saw this place advertised on a road sign for eateries to expect on the next exit. Usually those get covered in all the food chains like Taco Bell and junk, so my interest was piqued and I announced my enthusiasm to my hubbie that we try it. DELICIOUS. We arrived on a lovely sunny spring day, so we chose to dine outside on their patio area. The inside had a fun retro cafe aesthetic that I'm sure we'll enjoy during the cooler months at some point too. The staff was incredibly friendly and in a good mood, which added to my own happiness upon arrival. We were seated and given menus to study, and I do mean I had to thoroughly study it. Picking out what I wanted was TOUGH. Everything looked mouth-wateringly good, but I finally settled on the patty melt on the marbled rye with the waffle fries. Excellent choice, and it was so humongous of a portion that I ended up taking half home and reheating it in my air fryer another day. Love that! Hubbie and I shared a large chocolate malt, which they gave us two glasses to pour into. It was also delicious. All the prices seemed pretty reasonable, especially for nowadays the way the economy is. IYKYK. We're already planning the next time we'll be back! Yummy yummy in my tummy!
