The Sooo Veggie turned out to be a chili dog!!! What? That didn't come close and was a disaster. Finally, we ordered an Impossible Cheeseburger without cheese. And yes, it was covered in melted cheese. I hoped they would make things right. I called to speak to a manager. There was NO manager in the store and never received a call back. Sad, NO MORE DOG HAUS for us!

I adored all the little trinkets and delicatessen touches throughout the space. The sweet, funny duo behind the counter truly made it feel like home. As I was buying my sausages. soft pretzels, and potato salad, the lady said very little to me and the gentleman, nothing at all. When I tried speaking German, the lady said she didn't remember much of the language anymore. This blunt, "tell it like it is" way of interacting is pretty much how my family used to be, so I found it familiar -- even comforting. But it's easy to see how this can rub people the wrong way, especially if they're used to American (or even modern German) - style customer service. Everyone who found this rude is making reasonable statements. But to me this is more a case of people who have been doing the same thing for a long time without making updates. Decor-wise, place also seems to recreating the Germany that someone remembers from decades ago. The blue and white bunting, the beer steins, the picture of the Pope and other memorabilia make the place feel distinctly Bavarian, in a touristy way. A lot of places in Germany, even in the more traditional south have moved on. But my hope is that this place does continue until the proprietors retire with dignity or sell the business to some German-Americans with a passion for prepping and selling this type of food.

When we mentioned it, the lady at the counter hit us with the "we'll remake it" energy like we were the inconvenience in this situation. Round 2 finally showed up, but the coating was... questionable?? The texture felt like it was still figuring itself out. We've had better at other K-corn dog spots, so this one didn't exactly wow us. It was our first visit, and let's just say it didn't scream "love at first bite." We might give it another shot someday, everyone deserves a 2nd chance!!

When I received the order it only had a sprinkle of it like the potato corn dog has. I asked them to cover the rest like it's in the photo and they tried charging me $2. I asked them to point to the menu where it says we need to specifically ask for it to be fully covered and where on the menu it says there's an up charge to essentially get what we ordered and they just insisted that was the way they were trained to prepare the corndogs. I did not get what I ordered and they refused to fix their mistake. Save your money, there are so many other delicious places to eat from inside haven city.

Stupid me for just checking that I had 4 burgers tonight, and not unwrap them to check them individually. When I got home I find out that every single one was wrong. I had hungry kids so I tried to scrape off and salvage when I could to get them eating, and then drove all the way back to get it made fixed. When I asked to speak to a manager, apparently there is no manager there in the evenings, I told the woman who came to the counter that every single burger was wrong and showed her the receipt. She asked what was wrong about them, so I started going down the list and she never offered to remake it the right way or really offered any remedy so I said just refund the whole thing if you're not going to even offer to make it right. If I have to do your quality check, and unwrap every item to scrutinize it, I would rather just not give your restaurant my business. I tried to get in touch with their corporate office and they have not responded in a week. Looks like the whole thing is going downhill since Corky passed away. What a shame.

The blue cheese burger I wished were a bit stronger in blue cheese flavor (as a person who loves lots of blue cheese), but the burger was definitely filling for both the eyes and the tummy. The only thing I wished is that the burger didn't feel as heavy/greasy, but if that were the case, I probably wouldn't have chosen a burger. That said, the grease did feel like it took away from the flavors, making the burger tasting milder than I had wanted. That said, it was very enjoyable overall. The dog menu was surprisingly different from what I've seen. It was surprisingly healthy looking with the amount of vegetables they added to my dog's bowl including some Brussels sprouts. There was no rice at all, which was fine for me since my dog doesn't really like rice. Unfortunately, he is so picky, so he picked out the chicken from the vegetables even with me pre-mixing it, and I think the vegetables are too firm to his liking. However, I appreciate the food being healthy and the portions, even if he himself will not really eat most of it. I'm sure some other dog will do a lot better with the bowl!
