Wedding corndogs

No frills, just your classic plain corn dog. Always the beef corn dog. It's such a quintessential, LA staple from Santa Monica beach since the 1940s. HDOS holds a special place in our hearts since we had them cater our late night snack for our wedding! (Shout out to the Kardashians for keeping them alive and well at their catering parties hahahah; Kourtney tends to hire them more lol) They also have their food truck(s) serving around the greater LA. Love you HDOS. A staple in so many mall food courts from the past to the present. Appreciate you for holding on!!! (their Puente Hills food court location just closed recently....sadness!)

I love Hot Dog on a Stick! Its absolutely nostalgic to my childhood. Back then the workers (my bestie and some high school classmates LOL) use to wear funny looking uniforms and stomped on a lemonade pole!! Long gone are those days but the menu still the same: Turkey, Beef (Nathan's hot dog brand), Vegetarian hot dogs, cheese sticks; fries and lemonade! Corn dogs are made to order and lemonade is fresh!

Grew up eating Hot Dog on a Stick and love this place dearly! It is making me sad to see dwindling locations and think they need to prioritize putting locations in Southern California (along the Coast in Orange County). I've tried pretty much all of their dogs and recommend them. The ones I love the most are: -Cheese Dogs -Beef -Veggie I always get a side of their Lime Lemonade. It pairs so well together. They have regular yellow lemonade and a cherry but the Lime is the best in my opinion.

I love me some HDOS! Too bad there's no location close to my home. The minute I saw this in the food court I was stoked since I haven't had for awhile. Ordered 2 stick items: beef and Jack pepper cheese, French fries and a red (cherry?) lemonade. Scarfed them so fast I forgot to take a pic of everything. A nostalgic meal. Docked one star because the pepper cheese stick wasn't melted when I bit into it. Is it supposed to be solid? Melted cheese would have been nice. Overall it was a delight. Food court was packed since it was during the holidays. People be taking tables like vultures. Thank you HDOS!

I'm back so the another addition of "Mall Rat Eatz". Today I'm at hot dog on a stick because last time I came here they were under construction or rather renovation. This place has been a staple since I've been going to the Galleria mall in Glendale for a long time. It stood the test of time! I remember when "the zone" was still blossoming and booming on the third floor where everything was at! Hot topic, the vans store, Panda Express, Game stop formerly known as Planet X or its combined now. That was to e place for teens and tweens to hangout during the week after school or at the mall way before the changes and the Americana! Anyways I took stroll down memory lane and got the 2 for deal with a side of fries and a medium lemonade. First I would like to say in a fan of shoe string fries and always have been and when I pulled out these bad boys I was very happy! It was fresh out the fryer and crispy! Just the way I remembered it! I bit into the beef dog and again it was just right! The texture of the corn meal casing was crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside! They always get it right! I went for the pepper jack and same thing the texture was great and stuff but what was lacking in my opinion was the spice. Where's the pepper part of the Jack? I was expecting some spice or some kick at least but it felt like I was just eating a regular rectangle cube of jack cheese. I wish it had the spice. The service was great as you would expect although I think the girl who helped me was lookin stressed or something cause she was training someone but that's just how it is and I understand. And as per usual you're in a mall food court so the people around me were if course enjoying their lunches and having a great time. For me I give this 4/5 stars! The pepper jack isn't what it's supposed to be BUT everything else I would go for!

My bf had a huge craving for this recently and I honestly haven't had it for a very long time. Love their deals and options! I don't remember them having any cheese fillings or anything like that back then or maybe I just never got them and wanted a regular one. They have different lemonade options like Cherry and Cotton Candy. We got the Cherry one and it was delicious! Didn't have a gross, artificial flavor. The drink size is HUGE so it's perfect for sharing and walking around this giant mall. IG: @ammysalamii

It's a good corn dog. Decent quick mall food. Had the beef and gf had the veggie. Also had a cup of lemonade. Lemonade wasn't too sour or sweet. It wasn't particularly outstanding but it was refreshing. The staff was super friendly and did a great job taking our order and preparing it. The corn dogs were super hot which is my favorite way to eat a corn dog- right out of the frier. The beef dog was super juicy. A tasty dog! I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here but if I wanted a mall snack I'd consider coming back.

Been having their food and the lemonade for decades, I come back for their consistent flavor, no one makes it better as far as I'm concerned. But the last time I came here, the place was down, some sort of construction, disappointed but granted. This time however there was no one at the counter, couple of ladies got fed up and left right in front of me, after a minute or so surely a lady name jazmyne appeared, unapologetic nor talkative, started attending one other person with his food and returned to the counter to take my order. No expression, no pleasantries, no personality, no common courtesy, as if I did something to upset her , what I don't understand is this is a food court, we have other options in dining choices, what is the management thinking?? They're losing loyal customers left and right, too bad bcs this place used to provide many pleasant memorie. Ce la vie Oh and their lemonade this time was too water down

2 Vegan corndogs & fries (610 calories)

I have been wanting to try the vegan corndogs at Hot Dog on a Stick for a long time. It was much better than expected. Tasty. Also, amazing with mustard. I've eaten their Cheese on a Stick when they had a Burbank Town Center location. It's exceptional too... However, you have to wait to eat or it's a hot cheesy mess. And the recommended at least 3 cheese sticks to stay full. Also, the cheese sticks needs another condiment sauce like ranch. They have a new special two dog sticks of choice (turkey, beef, vegan, cheese) with choice of french fries or dessert funnel fries. I decided to go with veg dogs & fries combo and added a small cherry lemonade icee . It completely stuffed me. Beef dogs are always popular. Weight watchers tend opt for turkey dogs or vegan dogs. It's at the mall food court... So, you can try something new every visit. I recommend Hot Dog on a Stick... Fast, fresh, fun, simple and satisfying food.

We had a very delicious veggie dog and the best homemade lemonade I've ever tasted. I will definitely return. I love the Americana outdoor mall in Glendale, CA.

But there aren't too many hot dog places around, and I'm glad to have the option. Their kraut dog was disappointing. Their Chicago dog was decent. So were their fries (I got them when they were just freshly made). And they offer a variety of lemonades and teas if you want to skip the soda. The prices are decent, but again, tough to compete with that Costco deal. Would probably come back to try other things on their menu. Edit: Tried their burger, which was pretty good, but I'm really just here for the dogs since burger places are a dime a dozen. Their burger can compete with other burger joints, so if you're with others who don't want a hot dog, they have alternatives. I also tried their corndog (too sweet) and a chili cheese dog (was okay). They're all beef and polish dogs cost more, but taste much better. Their fries have actually been pretty consistently good. Their lemonades as well. I do note the lack of relish as an option which seems strange for a hotdog place. Again, Costco's hotdog tastes as good as Wienerschnitzel's premium dogs, but for much less. I mention that cause I'm at Costco every so often, but I guess if you're in this area (no Costco nearby) and want a hotdog, this place will do. Oh and I forgot to mention, th workers here are pretty chill but efficient, so that's a plus.

would definitely recommend this establishment ! Don't forget to use your coupons provided on the…read morewebsite or if you get them via mail!

I used to go to Alpine Village before it closed, and this shop provides similar German style products. The service is great. They answer your questions and provide great recommendations. My favorite hands down is the butter cheese which is packed in the refrigerated case, sliced and ready to go. That cheese with pumpernickel bread (which they also offer) is so comforting. There are multiple types of salami, with the German style being my favorite. I really enjoyed the imported caraway crackers which was a lighter alternative to the more solid breads.
