Staff were friendly and the food was cooked once ordered and we were able to customize the spice level. We tried the "just a kick" mild and I didn't quite notice it. Will bump it up to "feelin it" next time. We got combo 1: Chicken tenders (these were huge like an entire chicken breast) and Texas toast with fries and combo 2: two chicken sandwiches with fries. The chicken had was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It also had pickles and coleslaw. The brioche buns were nice and soft too. The fries reminded me of In n out fries but thicker. Food was hot and fresh and tasty. Recommended! read more

The food truck arrived around 1:15pm in front of TJ's Sandwich shop by the sidewalk. The Mac & Cheese was so creamy with just the right texture. The spicy levels (Medium and Hot) in my opinion were about as spicy as a bag of chips, so not that spicy at all. I am Nashville Chicken enthusiast so these hit the spot. The chicken was juicy, flavorful and crispy. Quick service and the lady was kind! read more

5 meals ordered yesterday Friday. All 5 orders were disappointing. Chicken was dry, oily and overcooked. Not typical! Fries seemed to have been refried to warm up. Food was disappointing! Food had been paid for online but food truck had no record. Employee had to call someone to confirm. Their website states they will try to do better next time!! I believe something should be done this time. Please contact me for a partial refund by Monday. If not contacted I will take the next step read more

There are good reviews so I must have gone on a bad day. We ordered 2 combos. The tenders and fries and the chicken sandwich with tenders and fries. My son said the only good thing was the toast. I thought the only good thing was the thousand island dressing that comes with it! The chicken was burned and had no flavor whatsoever! The fries were crinkle-cut and flavorless. Terrible for the price we paid. We will not be going back. The two stars are for the friendly worker. read more

Definitely not worth it I personally wouldn't go there again read more

Finally got to try Hot Chickz! With that being said, Hot Chickz is a great addition to LP! Tuesday through Thursday they have a happy hour selection from 2-6pm. Its either a sandwhich or wings, fries and a drink for $10 bux. Pretty great deal honestly. I had the sandwhich, and being a spicy chicken spot they have several heat options to choose from. From mild to extra hot. I love spicy food so naturally, I went with "hot - sweatin" the 2nd hottest option on the menu. The food took about 15 mins, definitely didnt mind since they had some great music playing. We got the 2 tenders on texas toast and the sandwhich combos. These were delicious, the chicken was juicy and flavorful and the french fries are amazing! Probably my favorite french fries right now for sure! My biggest complaint, is that the "hot" was not hot at all. It had virtually no heat, so that was a bit of a let down, aside from that though the food is delicious. Definitely will be back, everything on the menu looks good, and that happy hour deal is a great promo. Stop by and support local business! read more

I am obsessed with their chicken sandwich!! Amazing customer service, it makes the experience extra special and personal when the staff remembers a customer. I've only bought once from here at my son's high school event and the girl remembered me. I love that there is easy parking, but anyway if you're looking for a tasty chicken sandwich this is the place!! This food truck is located across the street in front of crazy rock'N Sushi on Hacienda. I highly recommend it!! read more

The service here was not good. I asked for the happy hour special and the girl acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. The chicken needed a bit more seasoning had no salt whatsoever: the bread on the sandwich fell apart. I will not be returning. read more

I fell for an ad on Instagram and seeing that it's located in the town I grew up, I had to check it out for myself! FOOD: I ended up ordering the Chicken Sandwich with mild spice. The brioche bun was nice and soft, while the chicken was huge, crunchy, and still maintained its juiciness. I will say though, the mild spice didn't taste like anything at all. Maybe it was just one of those days but next time, I'll probably get the next spice level up. With this order, I also got their Chicken Wing combo. The fries had the skin on and were perfectly crispy and salty. So good. I was able to get up two flavors for the wings so I got their lemon pepper and mango habanero. The wings themselves were really crispy, which is always my preference. I have to add though that some wings still looked slightly undercooked inside. The lemon pepper was a dry rub but it had some tang and kick to it. Really good. The mango habanero was sweet but spicy; just enough to get the heavy breathing going haha. SERVICE - I think their customer service was good. No complaints there. NOTES - Very small parking lot and it gets smoky inside. read more

Hmm first time visiting and got Togo. I ordered mild chicken sandwich and realized I probably can do medium or hot here. The coleslaw is on the sweet side and since my hot chicken wasn't hot enough, I missed that balance. But will try again next time for hotter. They also have pizzas but Yelp didn't let me order that via the app. Let's see next time. read more

Wow! 5 we'll deserved stars for Hot Chickz. I saw this place on ig. And I live in the SGV. So I had to come check them out. This is probably my new favorite chicken spot. I ordered the two sandwich combo. Each slider comes with one decent sized tender and fries. I don't drink soda so it's perfect. Prices are perfect! Keep them that way so people can have a chance to come by and get plenty. The sandwich: brioche bun, crunchy slaw, pickles and sauce. The seasoning and texture is perfect! And I know chicken sandwiches! The fries are perfect too. I came a few days later to try their wings. I got the 10 piece. Two flavors. Nice and meaty! Perfect texture and I really like that my food was fresh both times I went. I dirty oil or soggy buns. Keep up the good work! I'm definitely coming back. Ps: if management is reading this, let's collab for a vid on my ig. Plus, if y'all make merch, I'm in! Lol read more

Hot Chickz - Chicken Sandwich 10/10 - Chicken Wings Near Me - La Puente, California

Let's start off with the location; horrible. This is a bad area with high crime and parking on side of building is sketchy Inside of restaurant is old nothing modern about it other than a abstract painted wall. Food however is delicious hot and fresh. I would rate this place 5 stars if it were modern and I'm a better location. Chicken was fresh and crispy. I had their special after 2pm which is the chicken sandwich combo with fries and a drink. Fries were crispy and hot as well. They were accompanied by some real tasty dipping sauces. The young ladies working there were extremely nice. Good spot to order food and take home to enjoy! read more

Food: 10/10 - great portion sizes, amazing flavor, fresh to order. Nothing tasted oily or greasy. Chicken was extremely well cooked and flavored. Fries were fresh and crispy and not overly or under salted. Texas toast literally buttery soft and delicious. Service: 10/10 - super kind and amazing people. They absolutely deserve all and every kind of business. Ambiance: 10/10 - music was relaxing and they have multiple TV's. Restaurant was clean and well lit. Plenty of space. Family friendly and also great for a quick lunch bite. This place absolutely deserves more hype and appreciation. So freakin good! Decided to check this place out with my boyfriend because we ?were craving chicken sandwiches. Starting off, the parking lot was a little weird and so was the inside of the building, kind of hole in the wall feeling and it smelled like cleaning chemicals. The menu was simple and the register girl was so nice and helpful. We both got the #2 which was the two sandwiches with fries. I got mild spice and my bf got none. The sandwiches were perfect, great size, juicy seasoned meat and perfect amount of coleslaw. The fries were not seasoned much but still very good! It's definitely worth the price! read more

I was super excited when my husband said there's a new hot chicken by us, but super disappointed. We got a number 1 & 5 which are tenders. The portion is good for the price, but the quality of the tenders aren't good and the flavor is lacking. My husband got medium spicy and I got the hot because I love spicy food. The tenders didn't have much flavor and the seasoning on it didn't add much flavor. They were generous to give extra sauce, but honestly the sauce didn't have the flavor like other hot chicken places. When I say no flavor, it's just bland and teaser like getting mayonnaise. The service was okay. The first guy got annoyed with me when I was ready to order once I got inside because I was looking in my bag for my wallet before ordering. He just walked away and went back to swiping the floor and told the other other to take my order. Not a big deal it wasn't even busy. Only 2 party at two tables. That should've been red flag to turn around and leave. This place is run down and it looks like it used to be a Mexican restaurant because they have a salsa station or a pizza joint because there's a brick pizza oven (kind of weird). It's not very inviting and the tables and chairs feels sticky. I wouldn't be back or recommend it to anyone I like. They charge 4% for using your credit card and requires tipping. It's a bit annoying when restaurants requires tipping for take out. I just ripped 15% since the place look like it's hurting for $$. I give it 2 stars because the food looks good even tho it didn't taste good. read more

Hot Chickz - #5 large tenders but lack flavor and the pickles are so soggy and gross. I love pickles and I couldn't even eat more than 2 pieces. - Chicken Wings Near Me - La Puente, California

We go ever so often for lunch and the service is always pretty good. We have found they are mindful of time. The food has always been hot and fresh. The beverages, not so great... pricy for a can of soda... It is what it is. The restaurant is kind of run down, but the food is good. So we overlook the buildings condition. That being said... it is clean. If you like Hot Chicken Sandwiches it may be worth it to stop by. read more

I think this is my new HOT CHICKEN PLACE! Better than a few of the top notch chicken places around. Closer to my work than traveling far for those other places. The combo comes with TWO sandwiches or a tender and a sandwich or other combinations. You really feel the medium and the hot makes me sweat a bit! The levels are spot on! I usually don't like Mac and cheese if it doesn't have the crispy top, but this one is loaded with cheese. Just look at that cheese pull! Mac was in a big bowl for $4! WTH! Dip those fries in the sauce!! Really creamy! I'll dip anything in that sauce! read more

I was craving a chicken sandwich and so my bf decided to pick these up for me. It was our first time here so we got a number 2, not realizing it came with TWO whole chicken sandwiches and fries all for around 14 bucks including tax. What a deal! It was in a takeout container and I wish they'd poke a few holes in the take out boxes so that the food doesn't get soggy because that's what happened to my food. Nonetheless, nothing a little air fryer can't fix! The food was really good and flavorful. The spices they used complimented the sandwiches very well and didn't feel too spicy in my mouth or stomach. The bun was so soft as well and didn't get soggy from the cole slaw which is a plus!! Definitely will try again. read more

So many of these chicken sandwich places have been popping up; I'm sure it's to ride the hype wave that those Popeye's sandwiches did back in a past before the pandemic... Anyways, the cashier was very friendly and I was surprised that they make pizza here too! We got the: 1) #2: 2 chicken sandwiches & fries. -It costs an extra $1 to add cheese. -We ordered our sandwiches at the second to hottest heat, sweatin'. However, both of us thought it wasn't that spicy at all. -Just a very slight, spicy after taste. Maybe we're just so used to eating extremely spicy food that we have an endurance. -The chicken was a bit dry on the inside, but at least the exterior was slightly crunchy. -The bun itself was just okay. -The fries were a huge culprit here. I could not help but to feel sad while eating them since if they were still hot, or even warm they would have been delicious (it took us less than 10 min to go home). -They were on the cusp of becoming that styrofoamy texture, so not sure if they were left out for awhile or were just old. 2) Mac & Cheese: -SUPER SUPER CHEESEY -They put real cheese in it too, not just the sauce it comes in. So it definitely passes the "pull" test that I do with cheese-y dishes. -My friend really liked this, but it was just a tad salty to me. Maybe next time I'll try a different sandwich or the tenders at the ma spicy level or a pizza. read more

What a pleasant experience... from everything, the crunchiness, size of the chicken, the way it's cooked to perfection, i have nothing but praise for this restaurant. Actually insane price I couldn't believe it for the quality of that chicken you couldn't find that price anywhere in LA! *DON'T GO TO DAVES HOT CHICKEN* That place is overrated and their sauce tastes like plain mayo. Come here if you want some good food. We got the #2 and asked for one sandwich to be on brioche and one on a French roll. Both were great. Husband said the coleslaw was sweet, tangy, and crunchy. The French roll had a crispy exterior with a nice soft interior. Fries look simple but they're great! They taste fresh AND ARE CUT IN HOUSE. The sauce is YUMMYY. Mac and cheese is def not made from a box, It's ooey gooey cheesy goodness! Honestly, my husband and I have been here before but the reason we decided to write a review was because a guy named Ivan was working today and he really helped the experience be that much more enjoyable. We truly appreciate when people care about a customer's enjoyment and needs and he not only checked in with us but others. COME CHECK THIS PLACE OUT read more

Hot Chickz - ##2 Two Chicken Sandwiches & Fries Combo. Regular size Mac & Cheese. - Chicken Wings Near Me - La Puente, California

The service was really good, got in, ordered my food and served it quick. Also the restaurant was roomy so I had no issues finding a seat. The chicken sandwich was really really good. The seasonings were flavorful, the spice was bearable, the chicken was juicy and the fries were very well crisped and salted. They also have a special sauce with the chicken and it was a really good pair. Honestly the sauce was good with the fries too. But the bad parts, the parking was very small so that was hard to find and the Mac and cheese was very dry and not cheesy enough. The bread was also really thick for my liking but had good flavor still. Overall the food and restaurant was great and should definitely have more customers than when I went there. read more

I was disappointed with my meal. The chicken was not spicy at all even though I asked for the Holy Cluck extra hot sauce. I definitely think the oil needs to be changed because the outside of the chicken did not cook well and I have worked at restaurants and I can tell. The slaw is good. The sauce they give out is good and they have good ranch. Service is nice. Place could be cleaner inside but I might have come right after a mini rush. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We had mac and cheese with chicken on top. It was beyond amazing! It's better than what we've EVER ate in the deep south. Trust me! The chicken sandwich is a home run. Simple. I can't explain how in love i am with this chicken sandwich place! my friend and I always like to go around and rate the ones we've gone to but nothing comes close to hot chickz. I was pretty sad to hear when they left their spot in the building, but I will say that the food truck was a huge upgrade. their owners and workers have always been welcoming and friendly. the only thing I will say is that it does take a while for the food to come out, but it is always so good and worth it. im glad they added a loyalty point system so I will definitely be coming back all the time. read more

This place is my fave chicken sandwich restaurant. I have tried a couple other chicken sandwich places in the area but Hot Chickz has my heart. You can't beat their #2 combo that comes with 2 chicken sandwiches and fries. It legit feeds me and the bf for the price of one meal elsewhere. I was finally able to get my hands on their Mac & Cheese on my most recent visit. The few times I have gone before, it's always been sold out and now I completely understand why! So cheesy and delicious. It's definitely not a health conscious food (LOL!) but worth it!! I've ordered in person and waited at the restaurant, as well as ordered over the phone for pick up. Their service has always been great for me. Cashiers are friendly and food comes out pretty quick. I've never dined in (I always order for to-go) but there are booths for patrons to sit and eat. Parking can possibly be an issue if it's a busy night. There are a couple other restaurants in this area that share the already small parking lot. read more

This place is a pleasant hole in the wall. The shop can be easily missed because it is in a plaza full of other shops. The staff was very nice, and they got out the food very quick. However, the shop is quite dark, and the tables were a bit sticky and greasy. As for the food, I got a mac n cheese with the two chicken sandwich and fries combo. The chicken and fries were crispy. However, the chicken meat can do a little longer in the brine. I did order a mild because I was unsure how spicy their medium was. However, I should have ordered the medium.
