The story....so was over at my aunts and pick up a few give away things and one was a frozen Butter Ball Turkey, Well we don't have a place to put it in the freezer or a bbq pit or an oven or a smoker to cook it in, so I made a call to this place ...Smoked BBQ I as a gentleman if they would possibly do an request to have my Turkey cooked and pay them, boy ! They didn't disappoint, this Smoked Turkey was absolutely delicious season nicely, cook to perfection, moist juicy succulent fall off the bone.next time I will try their Bbq menu, I was satisfied, I freaking had a thanksgiving Turkey on the 4th of July...this is America, importantly this the West coast...thank you Mr Bbq cook Roberto Alvarez, making my Turkey pretty Special

Tri tip and ribs. Horrible! Just got a tri tip sandwich and it had so much fat in it :(.

Horrible! Just got a tri tip sandwich and it had so much fat in it :(. Mash potatoes had no flavor and the beans tasted like Bush's beans! My boyfriend got ribs that weren't fully cooked. Food was cold. Not worth $45.

Was on our way for tacos but caught the amazing smell of this place and quickly had a change of mind for some BBQ. Staff was super friendly and recommended the tri tip and even gave us some samples before we decided so we had an idea but in all honesty both meats were amazing. My friend and I both got the 2 meat combo with tri tip and brisket and it will not disappoint. We received little cups of BBQ sauce with it but the meat alone has such a great taste and a smoke to it that makes you not need the sauce. They cater and deliver and I am a satisfied customer. I'll for sure be going back to try the hot links and BBQ chicken along with the cornbread.

It's not bad. Being late night, this eats eating some mcBs! I thought it was at least average or better than average. Food was fair priced. Guy was nice and sincere. I'd eat here again. Brisket was decent. Not dry at all.

1lb of brisket. 0 pieces edible.

TLDR: inedible, waste of money I don't usually write reviews but the food I got was so bad, I had to warn others. It may have been this incident but the brisket I got was so bad, it's inedible. I attached the picture of the pieces that I didn't eat. It's going into the trash. You don't want to see the pieces that I tried to eat. Chewed over 100 times and it was still hard. If brisket is properly smoked, it should be able to be eaten without using teeth. Not this place. The fat should be trimmed to 1/4-1/2 inch. The hard fat does not render down. As shown on the picture they left 2.5inch of fat on it. I suspect it's not even trimmed at all. Brisket should have fat, it should melt in your mouth but this hard fat is NOT edible. This pitmaster should be ashamed of themselves for serving this junk

    Tri tip was pure fat.

Hi all!. Ordered two three meat combo for delivery overall price was 80 dollars that we do not mind for good quality BBQ. We heard plenty of good things about this stand. Unfortunately their reputation did not live up to their name. There was little things that eventually added up. For starters the Mac n Cheese did not taste at all of cheese, it was over cooked and merely mush. The jalapeño poppers were overcooked and quite dark as if one used the previous oil from a previous meal. The bacon on the jalapeño poppers was undercooked. The Pork Ribs were okay, they weren't juicy it would remind one on a day old thanksgiving ham. The chicken was just fine nothing too special. The Brisket and Tri Tip was 50/50 meat and fat and not the good fat. Potato salad was adequate. Surprisingly the star of the meal were the baked beans. The flavor was there but their quality needs dramatic assistance. I'm not trying to put them down. I believe the amount we paid for this meal should be better in taste and in quality. I did get a hold of the owners and they were open to feed back. Perhaps we will try again in a month to see this they actually listened to the customers feedback. Hopefully the constructive criticism helps this business and build off of it.

Great service, yummy bbq. Prices are reasonable, brisket is my fav! The brisket, melts in my mouth, the seasoning is perfect

100% coming back here again and again. Reasonably priced delicious meats, fantastic smell of the on site smoker, and the unequaled service made this spot an instant go to spot from now on.

There is plenty of parking and it is easy to find. It is seat yourself once you arrive. We were greeted immediately and offered drinks. We got Dr. Peppers and ordered the BLT and beef melt sandwiches with French fries. When things are done in a simple manner, there leaves room for critique, but it was so well done. My beef melt was simple and tasty, and the bread was perfectly crispy on the edges. It was the right amount of texture and meat without leaving you overstuffed. My mom enjoyed her BLT and mentioned that the bacon was cooked perfectly. We definitely want to come back for the simple comfort food that is here. Our waitress was super friendly and let us know what the specials were for the day as well as gave us time and checked in on us. I definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the mood for a no fuss, simplistic dining experience.

It was easy to order online and food was ready for pick up when we arrived. Luckily we remembered to ask for utensils and napkins before we left the restaurant. Pot pies were individual sized portions. They were warm with a hot filling. Hubby got the beef and I got the dark meat chicken. I think I would get white meat next time. There were good amounts of meat and veggies in each of our pies but we both agreed the filling could use more seasoning. The huge side of mashed potatoes and gravy were my favorite - warm, creamy, and yummy!

And I had to ask "What is a Jamaican Style Meat Patty"? and they told me it's like an empanada! But WOAH. It's much bigger than any empanada I've ever seen! The staff was super nice on the phone to me when they explained what it was and that we were able to turn the meat patty into a vegetarian friendly version - nice! They also had a vegetarian one! So we grabbed 2 and got 2 free then decided to also order their vegetarian curry because we thought the meat patties wouldn't be enough. But omg. It was more than enough! The meat patties were huge and thick! And so so so FLAVORFUL! When you come to their shop inside the food hall the shop looks unassuming, it's cluttered and doesn't really give me the excitement of wanting to order here but wow wow wow. Once we ate it we were like "we shouldn't have judged!" Once we dived into the curry we were just waaaay to full but the vegetarian curry was so good. Not as flavorful as the meat patty (should've had the curry first so our tastebuds wern't overwhelmed!" but still tasty nonetheless! It had so much chickpeas and the rice was pretty good! I think we're going to have to come back and try it again when we're in the area!

The Jerk chicken was cooked perfectly, though the spice level was mild, even after a warning. The oxtail was tender and good, but not the best I've had. While the rice and beans were a bit too wet, the plantains and cabbage were great. I would have preferred some hot sauce and fluffier rice, but overall it was a solid meal. A text notification system for when orders are ready would be a helpful addition, especially for those seated away from the counter. The staff member gave an estimated time, and my food was actually ready sooner, which I wasn't aware of. While not a major issue, this is an area that could be improved. The service was friendly and helpful, and I would definitely return to try more of their dishes. While the food overall was good, a few things fell short, like the rice. Overall, it's a tough call because the food deserves more than 4 stars. Caribbean Gourmet is easily the best Caribbean spot in the SGV and my second favorite in LA County. The prices are very fair for the portion sizes, and I must highlight how affordable they are, especially these days. Kudos to Caribbean Gourmet for keeping prices affordable while serving delicious food!

We originally were hoping for 7 or 7:30, but based on how busy and popular this place is I can see why they said no. Come early and get seated right away and there's still ample parking in their parking lot. By the time we left at 7:30p, the lot was packed and people circling around hoping to snag a spot from folks leaving. The restaurant is pretty large and has about 3 rooms with different size tables and booths. No matter the size of your party, there's a table that will accommodate. The staff were very nice and attentive and FAST! We had our food out probably 15 min after we put in our order! Now...on to the food. We ordered one of the set menus for our party of 7 and it was spot on! As you can see in the pictures we had all the "classics". Our set meal could easily be enjoyed by at least 10 people. We had so many leftovers! The food was all well prepared and sufficiently seasoned. Portions of each dish was plentiful and everyone will be able to get enough to satisfy. My favorite items: lobster (duh!), kung pao chicken, pork chops, and shaking beef. The seafood soup is a great starter, and don't forget to add a little vinegar and pepper! Great restaurant in the SGV. This location is much bigger than their Rowland Heights restaurant, but the food is exactly the same. This is a great alternative to the popular Newport Seafood, so don't sleep on this place!

Came at 530 pm on a tuesday, and there wasen't anyone here yet. Afterwards it filled up quickly!! The main thing I dont like about this place is they dont have the prices on what your ordering. Which I'll get too at the end. Like any other Chinese restaurant, their menu is super extensive. I love how they have a little bit of everything. And its very well organized too. We ordered the following: 1. Crab and fish maw soup- this soup was amazing. It was just the right temp. Got me sweating. Can easily feed 12 people. Great amount of maw. The consistency is just right. Tasted so good!! 2. Small lobster special- on a bed of noodles. It was about 5 lbs. Cooked well. Could do without. Basically flavors. And it was expensive!! About $30 a lb. So this one dish cost basically the same amount as all the other dishes. Which was just too much. If I knew it was that much I would definitely not have ordered it. 3. Walnut shrimp- not the best walnut shrimp I've had. But it was ok. 4. Garlic shrimp- this shrimp dish was ok. Too many bell peppers and onions. It was just ok. 5. Mongolian beef- flavors were not that great. Very tender though. Could've been better. 6. Sea trout- this was amazing!! I love the sauce. Fish was so soft and tender. The heat, the spice, the sweetness. Some of that sauce in white rice was just perfection. It was really really good. Best dish of what we ordered. 7. Kung pao chicken- this was a really good dish. Crispy bits of chicken. But so soft and tender inside. I love the sauce that it was in. It was by far one of the highlights of the meal. It was good food. Price for everything (except the lobster) was pretty good. Food tasted amazing for the most part. Typical Chinese customer service. Pay at the front. Massively large portions. Solid authentic Chinese food.

Ambiance alone inside is reminiscent of hanging out at boba shops growing up in the SGV: bright interior, booths and board games, Pokemon and Shrek playing on the TV such a nice vibe to chill with some friends and chat. Most shops nowadays are grab and go so this felt very nostalgic for me. Now for the real hitters: I still am unable to understand how they can serve this food at this price. Beef Wang (16.48) is one of their signature dishes. It sounds really simple on paper, stir fried meat, mushroom, and egg. That's it. I am still wondering how they were able to get such a flavorful bowl from a simple dish and on a perfectly cooked bed of way too much rice so you can enjoy leftovers at home. Super Sea Nachos (35): Our party of 5 ordered our own bowls and shared this thinning it was going to be a simple appetizer. The avocado alone we joked shoulda been 35 . An assembly of tuna, shrimp, imitation crab, with wonton nachos was the perfect fresh accompaniment with the rice bowl. They do not skimp at all on the nachos or seafood and no doubt I'd share another tray with friends another day. They are not the most extravagant dishes, but honestly the quality, comfort, ambience, and value makes this one of my favorite sit down experiences recently.
