Our Realtor, along with us, thought it was absolutely perfect. It's a $950k house. Something about Juan...he's probably the most honest professional I've ever dealt with. We were trying to keep our expenses down as much as possible, so we decided not to paint the master bedroom closet. When we went to the house, we saw that it was freshly painted. We sheepishly said that it wasn't in the estimate. Juan responded by telling us that in contrast to all the other walls being painted, the closet looked bad. Because the house paint job is a reflection of the quality of work that he does, he decided to paint AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE to make the house look as good as it could. I know we had many more scars and patches than what he saw when he came out to give us a bid, but he said nothing about it and patched everything at no extra charge (we felt terrible when we noticed so many areas that needed additional prep work. Have you ever heard of a professional treating customers that well and going the extra mile? We haven't. You can trust Juan - he will treat you right. You simply cannot hire a better company and person to paint your house.

I contacted Aldo in late May to have him look at painting the exterior of my house and provide a quote. I asked for a quote and sent photos of the job (repairing some door trim that was heavily scratched…read moreplus replacing two baseboards in a small office). Very minimal work. He quoted me $250. Then he said $300 including materials. Then when he showed up he said it was $425 because he had to factor in the cost of driving to Home Depot. Then in the end it was $550 with tax! Over double the original quote. He also never showed up on the scheduled day so I had rebook. When he finally showed up on the rescheduled day he was a half hour late. Then he didn't even finish staining the door trim when he left. Oh, and he was messy and ended up getting wood filler residue on my door that now must be sanded off and restained. The baseboard job was fine. But the door trim repair was shoddy. That, coupled with poor communication and constantly increasing costs, makes me NOT recommend Giovanny.

Summary: Below DIYer work quality, dishonest and opaque…read morepricing, delays, and bad communication. If you value your time, think twice before working with Giovanni. Picture says a thousand words. I will leave you as the judge for the quality of work from Giovanni base on my photos. Detail: First thing I want to call out is the dishonest pricing. The initial estimate with $720-$800 for seven tasks. Then I was told there's $100 additional material fee. I didn't care, thought it's reasonable. Three tasks were "done" (omitting quality discussion here), he came back another day and ask me for another $400 ($150 for extra material and $250 for labor). I asked him to show me what he's purchased but he never show me the receipt. At the end we mutually agree to not do the last task and he will refund me $250. As of today, he still owe me $250 and it's impossible to get a hold of him now... Another call out is during the process I get tons of last minute delay and no-show. I get all sort of excuses: rain, previous job overran, phone broken. If your job is time critical, please be super careful. My final conclusion: If you have 1) very non-critical job that is 2) not urgent, and you 3) don't care much about quality and 4) have plenty of time to communicate, you can hire Giovanni for his somewhat low price.

I hired John Peck for exterior repairs and painting for my house. His quote was one of the lowest…read moreand most competitive at the time. However, during the paint job, it ended up costing us more than some of the other quotes that we received. I would have been still fine with this, only if the finished job was up to the standards that was promised to us. Unfortunately it was not. During the inspection, John agreed that part of the exterior trim near a tree needed to be fixed properly (he even mentioned bringing a ladder to reach it). That repair was never completed, and the very first rain after the job caused new water damage inside my home -- the exact problem we were trying to prevent. I trusted that the repair followed by the paint job was done properly, but as you can see from the pictures this was not the case. When I raised the issue, John insisted the work was done as scoped, rather than acknowledging that the problem area had been overlooked. His email response was more focused on defending the paperwork than on taking responsibility or offering a meaningful fix. I paid in full (in fact, more than the initial quote, effectively higher than what I would have paid if I had hired some of the other contractors) but ended up getting a lower quality job. Despite trusting that the work had been done properly. It's disappointing to discover that wasn't the case and now I have to go through the additional hassle of not only fixing the exterior but also the new damages caused to the interior. Based on this experience, I would not hire John again or recommend Pecks Property Pro LLC for repair or painting work. Attention to detail and accountability were clearly lacking.
