Horrible drivers that work for this company. Multiple experience with drivers who merge unsafely, arrogant, aggressive and shouldn't be driving trucks. read more

We recently had a pre-owned luxury SUV delivered from CA to KCMO. The delivery went well enough but took longer than I was told and the date slipped by a couple of days. Also, when the vehicle was delivered it was quite dirty which is odd given it was covered, especially given the $2,700 shipping fee. The odometer reading was also 45 miles over the mileage stated on the Bill of Sale. This was probably on the dealership in Newport Beach, but it is not a good feeling especially as it was dirty. The driver, Craig was thorough and meticulous in his work. read more

The company gave me a specific week to pick up my antique car. I scheduled a month in advance. They assured me the pickup that week and as the week went by I finally called. The scheduler Bob gave me excuses that one of the trucks broke down and the holidays were complicated to try and ensure drivers can get home for holiday. Then he stated maybe the following week for pickup but mumbled that he couldn't guarantee anything. Really? I get the logistics issues for companies like this but not even trying or caring about the customers schedule needs is very poor business practice. I guess they make enough money from all the other people that they can afford to brush off customers at a whim. No apology or even a hint of caring about my schedule. Given it was a COD, I should have made him schedule the pick up then if they called, I should have informed them it doesn't work for me. Business 101 your customers time is as important as the company's. Will never recommend them or use them. read more

Don't book with them they will give you date for pick up then do not call to let you know they have no trucks available. Not dependable or trustworthy. When I called I spoke with Bob who basically told me if he knew when he would have a truck to pick up my car he would play the lottery. Bye I booked three months ago read more

I recently had horseless carriage ship a high end ($27,000)motorcycle from Las Vegas , to New Jersey Bike came damaged ... handle grips were torn up, tank was scratched , was able to compound most not all out ! lower frame was scratched ... wish I went with someone who knows what they are doing ... unfortunately these are the times we Live in now, no one gives a shit, they hire guys because no one wants to work , or because they are the only ones to Hold a CDL... I didnt even fight the issue , because its all bullshit , lets be serious ... when you ship , things always have an issue ... totally pissed, will never use again.. paid 1,500$ to ship a bike that's the rate of a car, and they cramped my bike in the trailer , hence the damage if u gave me the entire spot this damage wouldn't have happened... ... took a week longer then expected which would be fine , if it wasn't damaged, better off driving the bike home myself ... PPL suck , so does this "high end" company... search elsewhere, maybe this use to be a good company , but they have let there quality go to crap.. I would have been better off putting this on the tail gate of my pick up truck, bike is crammed on the tail gate of the rig ,, no wonder the left side is damaged.. thanks hopeless carriage for a $1500 headache ... proof is in the pictures , thanks for ruining my one of a kind bike, shippers beware.. if you want something done right . do it your self...I HAVE A VIDEO OF THE BIKE SENT FROM SELLER 20 MINS BEFORE HORSELESS CARRIAGE GOT THEIR PAWS ON IT , AND NOT ONE MARK OR SCRATCH .. ... Horseless Carriage Carriers - Transportation Near Me - Paterson, New Jersey

I've used them for the past 5 years but no more. Last October they told me they had no driver to transport my car from Long Island to Florida after I confirmed their pickup at 3 months, two weeks and 3 days prior to the pickup date. Because of this I had to drive down to Fl. Will never use them again. read more

Just took delivery of my car from New Jersey, I have used these folks in the past and have always been satisfied with their service. They have always been professional and accommodating from picking up my car to the delivery. The driver today (Eugene) could not have been nicer, the company employs some of the nicest driver's that I have ever met The rate for the transport was very reasonable I highly recommend this company for your car transport. read more

I have been using Horseless Carriage for many years now. I wouldn't trust anyone with a treasured vehicle, or any vehicle that requires enclosed shipping, other than these guys. Their drivers are all long-time drivers for the company. Not only do they need to be professional drivers, but handling valuable cars like brand new ferraris, maseratis, lamborghinis, and my less $ valuable but more sentimental antique cars requires an extra level of professionalism. The drivers are always as clean as their trucks. Horseless Carriage reminds me of the good old days when your truck driver was dressed clean and neat, just like your banker! If you ever look inside one of their trucks, you'll see that they are spotless, even in the winter. The real white-glove treatment. read more

Been using them to transfer my MB back and forth between Long Island and Atlanta for maybe 3/4 years. I have never had any problems and drivers are always friendly and reliable. They always communicate with me thoroughly. read more

They picked up running car in California and were supposed to ship to South Florida. Delivery time quoted was 7-10 business days. Car sat in New Jersey wharehouse for weeks. Finally after 3+ weeks, and some pressure, car was delivered and not running. Apparently battery was dead and wire harness was disconnected under dash board (took a few hours to figure that one out). The office staff was rude & confrontational and asked why I was calling every 2-3 days. I would recommend using another transportation company. read more

Horseless Carriage review. I have been shipping cars back and forth from New Jersey to Palm Beach Florida for more than 10 years using Horseless Carriage. Horseless Carriage is professional and courteous from pickup to drop off. Their door to door service is excellent. I highly recommend using Horseless Carriage transport services as a way to transport any vehicle. Mona C read more

I cancelled my pickup with them because they kept making mistakes. First they spelled my name wrong, then they listed the wrong model car! On top of that, they said it would be picked up in a week, but when I called to confirm, they said they couldn't know when it was going to be picked up until a few days from the time I called, which would have been a week after I arranged the pickup. So they obviously had no intention of picking it up in a week. I spoke to another carrier, and they said they'd been getting many calls like mine. The person said they had always had a good reputation, but something seems to have happened lately. I would say it's two of their main customer service people. The two women's I spoke with had such a disinterested tone of voice, and never followed up. They didn't apologize for making so many mistakes on my reservation and didn't even ask why I cancelled. read more

I sold an expensive sports car and needed it shipped from San Diego to Wisconsin. I contracted with Horseless Carriage to have the car picked up on a Sunday. I called them the previous Friday to make sure the driver was going to show up. The person who answered the phone said that the driver would call me on Saturday to let me know when he would arrive. Horseless Carriage was not the cheapest carrier I got quotes from but they had good reviews (on their web site) and BBB had nothing bad to say about them. I wanted the car shipped by someone who was reliable and woud take good care of the car. Man was I wrong in picking Horseless Carriage. Not only didnt I receive a call from the driver but he didnt show up at all. I tried calling Horseless Carriage but only got their voice message. I was in a panic because the car purchaser was anxious to get the car. I found another carrier who picked up the car on the following Monday and was 800.00 cheaper than Horsless Carriage. I didnt hear from Horsless Carriage but a driver called me a week later and wanted to know if I still wanted him to pick up the car. Haa haa, a week later!!! If you want a car hauler who doesnt care about service or their promise to perform and want to pay more for this incompetence....HIRE HORSELESS CARRIAGE CARRIERS. read more

This company lied to us multiple times about their guarantee on delivery. When I called them out on it, I was yelled at on the phone by the man I booked with. I had to get the dealership involved to get them to agree to a date after the car had already been picked up for almost a week. Will never book with them again and agree with the other review that their customer service was terrible. They are crooks!! read more

This is the worst possible company you could use to transport your car. Their service is beyond horrible. I only gave one star because I couldn't give zero stars. I was told my car would be picked up on a Wednesday and nobody showed up, I called and was told Thursday...again nobody showed, I called again and was told Saturday...again a no show. I called and they were rude and couldn't t care less about what I was promised. I finally cancelled the order. Please don't use these people. read more

Horseless Carriage have been transporting our car from NJ to Florida and back for several years. Our experience is that they are trustworthy and professional. We will be using them again in 2020! read more

I had as good of an experience as I could expect from these guys. I was shipping a 1967 Bronco from NY to TX and I wanted to use a reliable indoor carrier. I had shipped it across the country once before with a budget carrier which I would never do again. I negotiated $100 off to drop it off rather than coordinating a pickup. And that meant I got a tour of the awesome car collection of the owner which is worth seeing for sure. They got it down there faster than expected and the driver was flexible about scheduling the drop off when they arrived on the earliest possible day and my travel plans created an issue. Everyone was nice and helpful throughout the experience. read more

I originally scheduled the pick up of my 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible in New Jersey with another highly rated carrier who said it would take a week or two to get me on the schedule to move my car to North Las Vegas, Nv. After 3 weeks they still had not picked up my car and could not give me a date. I called Horseless Carriage Carriers, they told me they could pick it up within 3 weeks. Two weeks later they called and were ready to get my car the next day. The original carrier also called (5 weeks now) saying they would get it this weekend. I told them Horseless Carriage was already on the way. They picked up my car with a mini covered truck and took it to their warehouse for staging. Both carriers stated it would be 7-10 days once they picked up my car for final delivery so I was pleasantly surprised when less than a week later I received a call from Jason saying he would be delivering my car the next day. Jason was very professional in my conversations with him. I wanted to make the delivery spot as easy as possible on him, as a former trucker I know how some areas are difficult to navigate, but he reminded me that I was the customer and he would deliver right to my door if thats what I wanted. He did a complete walk around with me after unloading my car and was on his way. After seeing 4 Ferrari's on the truck with my classic I had no doubt it had been well taken care of in transport. My experience with Horseless Carriage Carriers went flawless and I'm a very happy customer. read more

I would give this company minus stars if available; irresponsible , unreliable, not honest. I was promised (by the woman who answers calls ) that if I had my AudiA8l picked up on wed oct 23 (from Fort Lee NJ). I would definitely have it at my delray beach fla home the latest wed oct 30. That gave them a whole week! And they only pick up 6 cars!! Car did not arrive till late Thursday oct 31!!!! That is 9 days!!!! The driver told me that my Audi was kept in the Paterson NJ garage till Tuesday oct 29!! So we were without a car for no reason and we received it late. Do not use this company! read more

I have used Horseless Carriage three times in the last year. They are meticulous with the way they treat and transport the cars. We have a BMW 650I and a Porsche Panamera. I was in CT when they were picked up ( as scheduled) and waiting for them in Fla when they were delivered. The driver was very professional. The first time I used them ( last year) they picked up on a Monday and I had the cars on Weds! That was highly unusual. The return of the cars took about a week which was just fine. Our cousin uses them almost exclusively and has over 40 Ferraris which travel all over the country- he is a stickler for quality and service. Don't hesitate to use Horseless Carriage if you want to insure your car/s arrive safely. read more

They delivered as promised. Pick up window was a week but that didn't bother me. Upon pick up driver estimated drop off on a Tuesday. He called Tuesday and we schedule a Wednesday drop off. Worked for me. Yes, I kind wished there was some tracking but all in all a good experience. read more

Do not, under any circumstances, use this company. They came highly recommended to me form quite a few reputable friends. What I got was a horrible disaster. I placed and later cancelled an order with Horseless, after which, a couple of weeks later I received a call saying that they have picked up my vehicle. After a cancelled order! Now I am forced to pay them for me to get my vehicle back! I am outraged by what has transpired. Please learn from my mistake and do NOT use this company. read more

Hopeless: they really screwed me with (1) waiting to the 11-1/2th hour of the 1-week pickup window and then informing me (yes, the car could be picked up on the Saturday), but (2) it would take 10-14 days to get it to the destination...AFTER they'd clearly told me 5-6 days for transit time. And they had nearly 4 weeks to work out the trip. Don't use them; they completely wrecked my classic-car road-trip plans. read more
