We booked an Excalibur around two years before our NYE wedding after meeting Kevin and seeing the car. Through this timeframe, Kevin communicated well and made sure that we got everything we needed transportation wise and more. My number one suggestion would be to ASK FOR ALEX AS YOUR DRIVER! The driver, Alex, was the real star of the show. My groomsmen and husband LOVED him! (They rode in the car lol.) Alex was prompt, kind, friendly, positive, and everything went seamlessly. (Mind you I had to change the pick up location 3x times due to different issues with the hotels that were of no fault to Tru Limo.) It rained outside and Alex made sure my dress never touched the ground and helped give ideas to our photographers of the perfect shots to take. Highly recommend working with them and even more highly recommend asking for Alex! read more

I hired Tru Limousine on June 24th to shuttle our guests, for my daughters wedding, from the hotel in Wayne to the venue in Franklin Lakes. They were excellent. They were there early and stayed late to make sure that all of the guests were returned back to the hotel at the end of the night. Kevin was extremely helpful when deciding what I needed for the occasion. Definitely recommend them. read more

Very responsive to my calls, even during prom season. Our driver, Joe, was FANTASTIC! He arrived early for our pick up and then drove us all around Manhattan, made multiple stops and was always where he said he would be when we came out. I would definitely use them again! read more

We used this company for our daughter's wedding recently scheduling a large party bus for the wedding party and a limo for the parents/close relatives on both sides. The company was easy to work with even with my numerous questions and double checking ahead of time! On the day of the wedding both vehicles arrived on time, worked with us with some timing issues during to the heavy rains that day, and provided excellent service. The drivers for each vehicle were professional, pleasant, helpful, and considerate. We had a great time, even with the rain, and the drivers both helped with umbrellas, getting in and out of the vehicles, and helping to keep the "happy" in the day no matter the rain. I fully recommend this service! read more

It's sad to know that in such a tough time where people are losing their jobs and are struggling financially, that a business like this could care less about their customer service. From the 3 different vendors that I was inquiring from, Tru Limo seemed to have the better rates, but the poorest customer service. If they could treat a person whose business they haven't gotten yet this way, imagine the type of service they'll give you the day of your event. read more

Tru Limousine - Limos Near Me - Linden, New Jersey

We used Tru Limo for our wedding on July 14, 2019. We booked the Weddings Rolls Royce and the 28 Passenger Bus. Both drivers of these two vehicles were extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to the bride and groom. The party bus driver got upset and yelled at the groom and his groomsmen for turning on the lights, stereo system, and TV on the party bus even though these were selling points when we were viewing the cars the day we signed the contract. Both drivers were unaware of the schedule. Both the bride and the groom had to inform the drivers there was an additional stop before we went to the church. This stop was clearly stated in the itinerary. However, they told both of us we were wrong and then proceeded to text while driving until they realized we were correct. On the contract, it says we had the Rolls Royce booked until after our ceremony ended. However, on the way to the church, the driver kept saying to the bride he would only stay until 4pm and if we want him to wait for us, he would charge us an hour extra. We were having this conversation in front of the church before I walked down the aisle which I believe is extremely rude and unprofessional because you would think the last thing you would want to do is stress out the bride right before she enters the church. He did not discuss this with me in a calm manner, instead of he was yelling and clearly annoyed at the situation. However, I believe this is a miscommunication between the owner Kevin and us because we were transparent with him regarding our wedding timeline. We were clear our ceremony started at 3:30 and would end about an hour later so I do not understand why he wrote "rolls royce terminates after church ceremony ends" when that was never his plan. Since the Rolls Royce driver kept threatening me saying he will charge me an hour overtime if he waited for us after our ceremony ended, I just told him to leave right after he dropped me off at the church. The worst part of our experience with Tru Limo was our interaction with the owner, Kevin. We went to speak with him weeks after the wedding to make him aware his drivers were rude and unprofessional. He did not apologize AT ALL for our experience and said, "he will not give us any money back just because of attitudes." You could also tell he refused to believe us. I don't understand why anyone would take time during their Saturday during the summer to lie about their experience. You would think customer service would be important to any business, especially in the wedding industry but it was clear he did not care about our experience with his company. He just kept saying "he has been in this business for x amount of years" and he does not care that his drivers stressed us out on our wedding day. He did not take ownership of his drivers' actions whatsoever and again, he never apologize once to us. Both drivers stressed the bride and groom out leading up to the ceremony (groom was in party bus and bride was in rolls Royce). Clearly, Tru Limo's unprofessionalism stems from the owner and is reflected in their drivers. Transportation was the last thing I thought would stress me out on my wedding day and therefore I would not recommend any bride/groom to use this company on their wedding day. read more

Tru Limo took 32 kids after the Junior prom to the after party. An 11 pm- 3am shift. The driver, Kira, was great. On time and admittedly had to put up with a bigger mess than they should. I will backtrack and say dealing with Kevin was easy and the price was right. The party bus was spectacular. To add to it, my only complaint (and compliment) was a 9:00am phone call ( I chaperoned) that a kid left his wallet on the bus with $$and credit cards. Great job! read more

I used tru limo for my birthday celebration and the service was amazing. We left New jersey, went to Pennsylvania for brunch and then went to a winery in the same area. At the time of booking they require 35% of the total payment and the rest is due by card or cash on the day of. They also give you a contract and credit card authorization fee to sign and everything is very transparent. No hidden fees or agendas which we were grateful for. We chose to pay by cash and it was a very successful trip and day. We rented the 10 passenger Lincoln and we had Joseph Prisco as a driver. He was on time, very nice, respectful, a great conversationalist and made sure we were okay the whole time we were out. We rented for 8 hours got the 9th hour free. The limo was very clean on the inside and out and very updated. Joseph was very accommodating, he opened doors for us, helped us stock the liquor in the ice bar, he was very patient while we took pictures, he even stopped several times for us to use the bathroom. A person in our party missed the limo and Joe had no problem picking them up, which was 20 minutes away. We even treated Joe to DD Coffee which was our first stop after picking up another passenger. Joe made the experience very memorable and I would highly recommend Tru Limo services. read more

I rented a 20 passenger Party Bus this past weekend for our daughter's 21st birthday celebration. The bus was beautiful and immaculate. The driver, Donald was wonderful. So pleased that we chose Tru Limo! read more

Very happy with TRU Limo. Arranged for the limo about 4 months in advance. They always responded promptly to our emails. On the day of the event, the bus arrived on time, the driver was good to work with and the bus was immaculate. We used the service for an association event (tour of the NJ Port) and participants raved about how luxurious the bus was. Will definitely use them for the next event. read more

This company sent me a party bus for "21" passengers. I had 21 normal sized kids and adults combined. 19 crammed into the seats. I had to bring an extra 2 stools for the other 2 people. I complained because they misrepresented the vehicle's capacity. They showed me the vehicle registration that says 21 passengers. One of my party was supposed to sit withe the driver up front! Then the owner charges me an extra 40 minutes at the end of our 12 hr $2,000.00 rental. There are so many other limo companies- Don't use a guy that does business this way. read more

Booked a 14 passenger limo for my son's prom. Kevin was a pleasure to work with and price was very fair. Our driver, Joe Jackson, was top notch! He was prompt with arrival, courteous, and super nice guy to our group of senior prom kids. Limo was spotless and the kids loved it. Would not hesitate to call TRU again for future needs and request Joe again! read more

TRU LIMOUSINE LEFT US STRANDED ON THE STREETS ON OUR WEDDING DAY!!!!!!! Got married on 7/31/11. Our Church ceremony was held in Maplewood,NJ (one block outside of Irvington,NJ). We paid full in cash plus gratuity before our wedding day because TRU LIMO said we would get a discount for paying in full before wedding date. We paid for 4 hours of service (1pm-5pm). Our Ceremony was over at 4pm and the Limo Driver barged into church telling our guest (While Bride and Groom were taking family photos) that he was going to leave if we don't pay him an extra $100cash for staying overtime. Since, we were all excited about our wedding and not paying attention to time because non of us had a watch on, we paid him an extra $100 cash. After we finished our photos at 4:30pm, and after all of our guest and family had left to go to reception held in West Orange,NJ (only 15mins away)...We got into the limo and the limo driver, drives two blocks away from Church and stops the limo and turns off the air and told us that we had to give him an extra $100 to move the car. It was very obvious that WE (BRIDE AND GROOM) did not have our wallets or cell phones with us, nor a watch. We told the limo driver that we would give him cash when we get to the venue. He said "NO" he's not moving until he gets paid on the spot. The limo driver demanded us to get out the car on the streets of Irvington, NJ and "WE" (bride and groom) had to walk 2 blocks back to Church in the heat wave to call a family member to pick us up on our wedding day!!!! we did not pay attention to the time until we walked back to church and it was only 4:50pm! The limo driver lied to us about keeping him over time, we even paid him an extra $100, and he demanded for another $100 after all our guest left to go to the reception from Church. Limo driver did not wear tux as promised, no champagne as promised, and no red carpet as promised. He ruined a huge chunk of our wedding day. Left us stranded, stole our money, and we were late to our own reception. PLEASE!!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! read more

Loved our driver Joe!! Great service - on time and reasonable!! Highly recommend. We used their service for a sweet 16. Everything we t as planned. Would definitely recommend to anyone hiring a limo. read more

LOVED Tru Limousine. I ordered a 28 person party bus into the city for a night with a few friends. The bus driver Keera was incredibly sweet, kind, and helpful. This company was absolutely wonderful and very professional. I will definitely be recommending TRU Limousine to many others !! read more

If anyone can actually write a review about tru limo, it would be me. I rented 3 limos from this company for my wedding. This had to be coordinated at very precise times and locations since the 3 limos had to go to several locations during pickup and then one drop off location. First off, I must have called or emailed changes and confirmations at least 20 times. Each call and email was responded to in a professional "don't worry" manner. But I was worried, this was my wedding! Every limo arrived early. Each driver was professional in demeanor and appearance. Since I was keeping my limos for return trips, I offered my drivers to come in and eat, however they refused. So I had the catering hall prepare take out for each of them. My favorite driver (my driver) was Joe Jackson who was the best! Each limo had several amenities that matched my wedding colors. The appearance of the limos inside and out was awesome! I especially liked the fact that the limos did not have advertising all over them as many limo companies have. Also, tru has many limos to choose from. We must of changed our mind 3 or 4 times. I know I drove them nuts. After all is said and done, I guess Kevin was right. There really was nothing to worry about. I would highly recommend TRU Limousine for your wedding or any occasion for that matter! - Marlene P. read more

Tru Limo was extremely professional and easy to work with from the beginning of the quote process until the end of our night out. Booking was transparent. Their all inclusive prices made for no hidden fees or surprises. Kevin and the customer service team were very quick and responsive when answering my questions. Matthew was an extremely professional, well tailored, accommodating driver. He arrived a half hour early for our trip, walked us through how to work the music and lighting on the bus, was always right out front of the bar during our bar hopping excursion throughout the course of the night. The bus was very clean, updated and very impressive looking on the inside. I would without a doubt use this company again. Good customer service, reliability, and personable staff go a long way. read more

I was concerned about the service we would get from Tru Limo after some of the reviews I had read so I wanted to share my experience. I rented a 27 passenger "party bus" for my son's engagement party. The bus arrived 30 minutes prior to our departure time. The interior / exterior was spotless, and the driver was dressed well and acted professionally. The bus carried 27 guests who all had a great time going to the venue and returning back. On the way back our shuttle bus (for the older folks) passed the party bus, and I was glad to see that the driver was driving safely under the speed limit in the slow lane as all the kids were dancing and partying on the bus. Our event was last night 9/26 63 miles from our house and we could not have asked for better transportation. We will use Tru Limo again without any reservation regarding their service and I can truly recommend them to anyone looking for a party bus. read more

Used Tru Limousine for a birthday celebration. Everything was fine until we were returning home. The driver drove a half hour longer than necessary by using an longer route to get back to the return location. We had to inform him he was going a very long route and he had to be redirected back to the return location. This tactic was to charge for overtime. In order to stop arguing with driver and owner, we paid the overtime fee. Watch your drivers to make sure that they do not do any tactics to add overtime to the bill. read more

If you're looking for a limousine this is not the place. I use them for an event and they were less than subpar. After I left a review on another site they proceeded to call me a bunch of times, threaten me, and actually post personal information online. Which by the way I fully expect them to do now that I'm writing this review too! They actually move their location on the map several times on various review sites to make sure that people don't know about other reviews people have left. And at this point I really don't care if they shared my old personal information because none of it is current. I even got a cease and desist letter for sharing my honest opinion of this company. Well honestly, there is nothing honest about this company. If you're in the market for a vomit covered limo bus with a not working sound system and a thief for a driver by all means book them! I will mention that my event was several years ago so perhaps they have changed since then. But the other reviews suggest that they haven't and the lack of reviews suggest that they have also buried other pages full of negative reviews. My advice would be stop burying reviews and actually change your practices. If you don't care about any of this they have very good prices. You get what you pay for. read more

I've used Tru Limo twice now for bachelor parties and I'd recommend them to everyone and anyone. I used them first for my brother's bachelor party last summer and rented a Party Bus for about 30 people and then again this past weekend when we got a Stretch Hummer for about 14 people for another friend's bachelor party. Both times they've been a pleasure to work with. They staff in the office are very nice and easy to talk to as well as being full of information. They make sure to call you earlier the day of to confirm times and addresses and make sure everything is all set. The drivers always showed up early and were incredibly nice and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed the whole night. The two vehicles we used were great. The interiors were very nicely done and very comfortable. They provided glasses for drinking, buckets of ice and bottles of cold water. I did a lot of shopping around and have to say their rates were very competitive and very reasonable. All in all they were great and I definitely plan on using them again when the opportunities arises. read more

WORST LIMOUSINE COMPANY EVER!!!!! Our driver arrived 1.5 hours late for our bachelorett evening. After a long and reckless ride to a venue in NYC our driver dropped us off at the door. Before he pulled off we exchanged phone numbers to ensure constant contact. Nearing the end of the event, we called the driver to confirm that he was on his way to pick us up....the driver never answered. After continuously calling for 40mins we called Tru Limousine to locate our driver and needless to say, no one answered. We were never able to get anyone on the phone to help. After 2hours of waiting on a curb our driver arrived appearing disheveled . He told us that he had fallen asleep while waiting for his phone to charge. We instructed him to call the owner of the company. After multiple calls we were able to get the owner on the phone. He told us that he was displeased with us calling him at such a late hour waking him from his sleep. He then instructed us to pay the $309 balance to the driver or find our own way home. So we found an alternate way home. The owner was very rude and unhelpful. WOULD NEVER USE AGAIN!! Book at your own risk. read more

We used Tru Limo for couples dinner and broadway show last night for the 14 of us. We reserved the 14 passenger limo and barely SQUEEZED 13 of us in and 2 of us couldn't sit back all the way. Our 14th passenger had to sit up front with the driver and was alienated from the group and didn't enjoy the laughs. All but one man is average size and some of the ladies are small and petite. It's more for 12 passengers if some in your group are male. Also, we had our mobile music and the driver didn't know how to hook it up. Good thing we brought a blue tooth speaker. When I spoke to Kevin about the seating he said it's a registered 14 passenger vehicle and has never had complaints before seating 14 people. I advised him to try it out himself seating 7 men and 7 woman for his own business sense. Otherwise, driver was prompt, communicative and courteous. Internal and external car was clean and stocked with ice and water. read more

Used TruLimo for a 30th bday and it was a great night. 28 people, most of them above-average sized men, fit comfortably in the 32-person bus. They let me set up the bus beforehand. My husband and I chose Tru Limo for our recently wedding, against my better judgement of choosing a "knot pick" from theknot.com. Though it wasn't a day ruiner, I regret my decision for this choice. When we called them to set up a limo for our day, the man on the phone was incredibly rude. I was put on hold for almost ten minutes. When I called to verify two weeks before the wedding, the same man answered the phone, and when I said that I just wanted to make sure we were all set, he replied "why wouldn't you be". Still, I pressed on hoping for the best. The reason we chose this company is because they had a little bit bigger limo for just a little less that the original company I had gone with. The limo thankfully arrived on time, but when we entered, the first thing out of the driver's mouth was what the difference was on the bill. He didn't start driving until I gave him my credit card. There was nothing special about this limo besides they had pink napkins in it (which was my wedding color). It looked very used and smelled like cigarrettes. I was extremely disappointed and called my photographer requesting that we don't do any pictures in there. Everyone who rode with me agreed that this limo was not how it had looked on the website. The only positive thing I can say about this company is that the wedding ran a little late, and they did say an extra 20 minutes or so for us to go home. Though I again had to pay him before he would let me in the limo. If you are looking for a limo service for your special day, I would not recommend this company. If I could go back, I would spend that extra $150 and went with a company that was more highly recommended that this one. read more

Used Tru Limo for my sister's bachelorette, horrible, horrible choice! For one, it was discussed we could have 11 girls in the limo. When the driver arrived, he refused to let us all in and said we had to call the Manager (Kevin). Verbally, he said 11 was fine but of course, on the contract it said 10 passengers. Driver was late about 20 minutes for our pick up. After our drop off for dinner, we phoned the driver multiple times to pick us up. After about 40 minutes of trying to get in touch with him---we ended up walking through Times Square to get to our destination. The Driver said he was outside the restaurant the entire time and he wasn't. Had the nerve to charge $102 for overtime when we WALKED to our destination. Called the company to complain and got nowhere with it. To boot--the limo was terrible. The controls for the audio/visual weren't working. Will be filing a complaint with the NJ BBB on this establishment. read more

This is the worst bus company ever. Me and 40 other students used this for after junior prom it took us an hour more than it should of to get the the city and the bus broke down. It turned back on but the AC did not everyone was sweating about to pass out and there was a chaperone on the bus.. which we did not even know there was suppose to be one. according to this lady she was the wife of the driver. she faked an asthma attack so that we can get off the bus. we ended up getting off a couple blocks away from the karaoke bar even though we had no idea where we were going. The bus left and gave a kid a number so that we can contact them. the whole time everyone was paranoid so the guy texted us an address of where he was so we had to walk another few blocks at 3 in the morning for the driver and the manger to tell us the bus is broken down and they made us all take Ubers and taxis home. that money came out of our pocket too. they promised half of our money back and they did not do that. I do not recommend this bus company at all. read more
