Hurricane Glass and Showers

Hurricane glass helped me out in a bind. I had tile replaced in my master bathroom and the tile…read moreperson said they could replace my old shower door after they were done. Well unfortunately that wasn't the case, I called hurricane, they were able to come same day and measure out the area I needed glass. It wasn't but about 2 weeks later I had my new seamless glass shower installed. It looks amazing just the way we dreamed it would have looked. The Owner personally called and asked me how it came out. That showed he truly cared. I will be referring people to Hurricane Glass!

I wish I could give a minus star. It was a commercial building with two walls of glass. First…read moreglass guy, Hector Chavez took $19,000 then disappeared middle of job. All glass people were busy, however I got a call from Tab at Hurricane Glass claiming he got my number from his buddy glass guy. We walked around and even before giving me a firm bid, he sent his guys and began installing frames that were left on the site. I didn't know it was his trick to get the job. I thought he was proactive and thought he would do the job right. I asked him for a written estimate which he never did. We agreed on $11,000 to finish what's left over. He knew exactly what had happened before and told me all about him was great reputation. i wish I had read Yelp review on him. On the spot he wanted the half which I gave him, then didn't show up for several days. One morning his guys showed up and installed some stuff, and Tab wanted another $4000 when he barely has done a thing. When I told him I would pay him $2500 for the time being. then he began screaming at me saying he was going to have his guy take off the windows. We agreed on $3500 then his people took off. Finally they showed up with some new windows and installation was done. but Turned out he has done no caulking on any windows at all which I didn't know. He demanded the last payment which I gave him and he promised, his crew (Adam and two other guys) completely finish the job. Our specific agreement he would make sure all windows were secure (funny thing is the windows the previous guy installed has no leaks, and Tab's job was to finish installing all the glasses and frames left over) and leak proof. On the first rain, every imaginable corners leaked. I talked to him several times, he would promise he would come, send somebody. He has never sent anyone. I've called more than 10 times over 2 weeks. Whenever I catch him on the phone, he would promise he would come or send somebody following day. Not a single show. I finally called his office and left a message to his assistant that I would leave a public review unless he comes and address the issues. 4 days ago He called me right back yelling using some graphic language and told me i go ahead. Then that afternoon, he called me and told me he would come the following day which he did. I am so frustrated with him for lying. yesterday I called and He told me he would show up today at 9am. no show. So he has never came to check up on it, and blamed the siding guys. Siding guys have come out twice already, checking and rechecking. They confirmed all the waters are coming thru doors and windows seals (for there are no seals). Meantime there is rain expected this weekend. The first rain ruined the brand new ceiling already. Now I am having to hire another crew caulk all the windows and doors Tab abandoned. One of the worst construction experience I have ever had.
