After 15 years of a bagless top of the line vacuum, I was surprised at the benefits of a bagged vacuum - no more spilling the contents of the cup when emptying it, no more leaks between parts spewing dust particles. I had not heard of Riccar before but Brian, Taylor, & Keith showed me the video of the factory in Missouri and the machine they themselves made. Since the machines are made in small batches, I had to wait for 2 weeks for my machine. In the meantime, they had a loaner Miele that they let me use. The warranty/maintenance plan on the Riccar is top notch. Made in America, great machine, great warranty, and above all FIRST RATE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

We used Bob Garrett Services this past Holiday weekend. On a federal holiday (Columbus Day) our hot…read morewater heater went out. We called Bob Garrett Services who dispatched a plumber immediately, this of course after several failed attempts with local companies in the Staunton, VA area. I can not say enough about the dedication to his trade and the professionalism of our Plumber, Lawrence Hancock. Lawrence drove from nearly 2 hours away to meet our needs. He also had to source a hot water heater locally due to compatibility issues with the hot water heater he brought with him - and drove an hour each way to secure it for us. he stayed late into the evening completing this install and took the old one with him when he left. This service was exemplary and we will absolutely use them again if they're willing to again make the trip for us. Thank you!

We had been having issues with being able to fill up our jetted tub without running out of hot…read morewater and also taking more than 2 showers back-to-back. I was also having to drain the tank about once a year and replace the bottom element as our house did not have a softener when we moved in, so it had a lot of calcium carbonate in the bottom. I called Bob Garret Services for an estimate about a new hot water heater with a mixing valve. Never knew that a mixing valve can increase your hot water volume by over 50%. Lawrence Hancock came over, checked everything out, and gave me a quote. He was very detailed in explaining things and low-pressure (no pun intended), and obviously very intelligent. Even though the cost was a bit surprising, I decided to go for it as this was the best water heater on the market. Lawrence came over the next day with new water heater, mixing valve, and thermal expansion tank (needed for to prevent pressure buildup in closed plumbing system and protect the well pump). He got everything installed, not to mention re-plumbing a few questionable joints on my water softener, anchoring some existing copper pipes to the block wall, both at no extra charge. Here's the kicker...not only can my wife use her jacuzzi now, but we have increased water pressure AND our 2-year-old water softener is working MUCH better. I'm extremely satisfied with Bob Garrett Service, not to mention with Lawrence especially. Great job guys. One less thing to worry about now.

Chris did an amazing job repairing our beloved, 35-year-old, Black Forest cuckoo clock when it fell…read moreoff the wall and shattered into pieces. He was very kind when I called him and said he had successfully repaired other clocks that were comparably damaged. So, I put all the small pieces into plastic bags, wrapped the large pieces in towels, put everything into a box, and made an appointment to meet him at his home and shop. He carried the box from my car to his kitchen table and carefully inspected all the pieces. He said he thought the clock had fallen because the roof staples had separated from the body of the clock. He warned me that some components were badly damaged and there were limits on what he could do for them, but he thought he could get the clock put together and functioning normally again with a lot of work. I approved his quote and left the clock in his capable hands. He sent me regular texts with photos and videos of the repair process. One of the weights was damaged beyond repair and he found a close replacement on the web. I approved the replacement cost and he ordered it. Chris completed all of the repairs in less than one week. When I arrived to pick up the clock, he carefully showed me all the repairs he had done and did a demonstration to show me that the clock was functioning normally. As he had warned me, it had a few small persistent dings and cracks but otherwise looked and sounded great! The final bill was exactly what we had discussed and agreed upon. I was very happy with the whole process.

He assured me that he could get it operational again, donging hourly & on the half hour. He also gave me history on where & when it was made & it's older than I knew. Within 2 days, it was hanging back on my wall at home, keeping time & fully functional! Chris kindly offered to come to my home if the clock needed tweeking after I got home, but it was not needed.
