There was a fella who was talking very loudly on his phone, everyone in the Lounge could hear him. The staff had a quiet word with him and he quieted down, I appreciated that. The restrooms in the lounge were spotless. It's nie to use this Lounge to get away from all the noise and craziness in the regular terminal.

No waiting or lines on Wednesday night with plenty of seats available. The lounge is pretty spacious with floor to ceilings windows lining the walls on one side. I initially wanted to sit by the window to watch the planes but there weren't many outlets. If there was one, the tables were taken. We opt in for the private room with the TV and comfortable couches. A good variety of hot and cold food that gets replenish frequently. I like to hydrate before the long 9 hours flight and was glad to find water with lemons/herbs and fresh fruits. Plenty of non-alcoholic beverages, sodas and beer. They also have a self service mini bar with liquors, wine and champagne. I had a glass of the Altos 2024 Chardonnay from Argentina and it was surprising good for lounge wine. You can also hear announcements for flight boarding and departures. I also like the dim lighting in the lounge. It had a relaxing and welcoming vibe.

Walking in, the lobby area is very open and check-in was easy, just show your oneworld status, credit card and/or ticket for certain flight classes, then head towards the left down a brightly lit hallway inside. Upon entering there is a configuration of lounge chairs and dining tables directly to your front left, food and drink is to your right in the form of a buffet counters, refrigerator for chilled drinks, wine and liquor, espresso machine and tea station. Since it was morning, breakfast options were set out: fruit, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, breads, sausage and bacon. There's a toaster for bread and condiments like butter, jam, ketchup and pepper, brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins for oatmeal. Walking past the food area there are more private booths with runway views to the right, and much more seating towards the back. The size impressed me, it felt about 70% as big as the larger Delta Sky Club in Terminal 4. Apparently there are QR codes that can be scanned for made-to-order food though I didn't have time to try this. Open 4:15am-1:15am. Bathrooms available and in decent shape. Staff were prompt in keeping tables tidy. There were signs for a Tasting Room though I didn't get a chance to look more into it.

The lounge is a hard left right after you get through security...blink and you'll miss it. Once inside, you'll find a fairly small place with a modest buffet and a variety of seating areas. I was lucky to find a seat and had some meats and cheeses from the buffet along with some sparkling water. I was able to find an outlet to charge my phone. The staff there was pretty good about clearing plates. The bathroom was fairly clean but the fixtures were a little loose. Overall, a decent place. Food is nothing to write home about and there aren't many options, but it does beat sitting out by the gates. No real complaints from me.

I highly recommend arriving at the hotel ahead of time and exploring the beautiful location. Walking around the hotel and exploring the gift shop might have been my highlight. At the pool, they're pretty strict about the timing and the lobby got pretty crowded right before the scheduled time. The pools itself is relatively small, warm, and shallow. We got some IPAs on tap (around $10 each), hung out in the pool, and watched the planes. I was a bit surprised but the overall crowd there. Lots of families with splashing children and people that really just seemed to want to be by a pool and didn't care about that specific location. Didn't necessarily expect so many people to spend money and come all the way to JFK without caring for planes but ofc that's up to them. Just something to keep in mind if you choose to come here. They also don't have changing rooms so you might want to wear your swim clothes or you'll have to change in the bathroom. I would give the hotel a 6/5 and the pool a 3/5. Would love to come back in winter for their apres ski chalet as I think the location is unbeatable.
