Located conveniently after the security check for Terminal 7. Spacious seating areas, one near the food and bar, another small room with a big screen television, and a large room with padded individual seats and charging outlets. The hot food selection was good, along with a salad bar and snacks. There was a self service drink cooler with sodas and beers. The bar wasn't open during my flight, but it looked well stocked. Perhaps the highlight was their cheese bar: cuts of soft, medium and hard cheeses. I grabbed a couple of chocolate chip cookies and a bag of chips during my stay. read more

The Alaska Lounge, at JFK Terminal 7, is a nice spot with excellent and frienly service. It's a calm and clean area to wait for a flight, and is much better than spending time in main area of the terminal. The lounge doesn't have any full meals, but it does have small items that are tasty. There's a good amount of seating, including a bar area in the back. They have a soft drink machine and a water area, where you can refill your water bottle for the flight. Overall, the lounge is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of Terminal 7. It's located above the TSA lines, making it very easy to get to after passing TSA. read more

The Alaska Lounge is one of my favorite US based lounges. It has some of the kindest staff. They saw our child's pancakes didn't come out right and fixed the machine immediately without me saying a word. They also asked if they would like a coloring book and crayons. Some of the kindest people you meet work there. The food selection is pretty good too. They have eggs, cheese plates, oatmeal, and pancakes! This is a very nice lounge at JFK terminal 7. In general Alaska lounges are a cut above AA Admiral's clubs. Since there is reciprocal access for AA and Alaska Airways, if you are on either airline you can use the Alaska lounge. The food selection is better. There are not as many Alaska Lounges but if the opportunity presents itself its worth visiting. This lounge is immediately past the TSA checkpoint on level L in T7. Highly recommend. read more

They had bagels, muffins, oatmeal, cheese cubes, deli meat, Greek yogurt, some fruit (fresh blueberries and canned mandarins), and hard boiled eggs. Warm options were scrambled eggs and bacon. Bonus was that they had gluten free bagels sealed in packaging. Barista-made coffee (from Stumptown) was well above average for airport coffee with nondairy available (almond, oat). Service (5/5): Staff was awesome and kind. One of the baristas went above and beyond because she actually delivered my iced latte to me! Tables and restroom could be a bit cleaner but I was there a bit after the morning rush hour. Ambience: Small and modern lounge with nice views. read more

My flight was delayed 4 hours. One of the many perks of being a oneworld emerald status member is... it makes flight delays a lot more pleasant and bearable. I checked into the lounge to relax, write, have breakfast and perhaps some drinks. If you love coffee, they have a self serve coffee and tea station that has cold soy milk, almond milk, whole milk, oat milk and 2% milk, Pike Place roast coffee and Tazo teas. Or they have baristas available to make you any coffee you can dream of. I requested a Butterscotch Brûlée Latte (a drink I had at a Starbuck's in the UK). It's made out of steamed milk and butterscotch sauce finished with brulée topping. It's a smooth and silky treat. It was quite delicious. They had various breakfast offerings. Eggs, bacon, sausages, waffle station, muffins, breads, cereals, juices, etc. I had some eggs and bagels (not really a big breakfast person). Bagels were fresh. It would've been nice to have fresh cream cheese instead of individually packaged Philedelphia cream cheese. I also ordered a glass of champagne after breakfast... I chose to relax in the comfy leather recliner because I love to watch the airplanes take off and arrive. There's something so nostalgic about it. Airports, planes and rainy weather. I love it. Not a bad way to kill some time before our flight... The lounge features a different drink each month as well as wine, beer and spirits. Generally, complimentary, but top shelf will cost you a bit. They offer light, tasty snacks too: crudite, dips, soup. Clean and spacious with ample seating and their own bathrooms. Priority pass accepted! However, you can only enter two hours before your flight. We got there a bit earlier than that and they had a waitlist anyway (they email and text when they're ready for you). We waited about 1/2 hour after joining the queue at 11th in line. Enough time for a drink and some snacks! Two drinks if you can down them fast! read more

Came here around 11am on a Tuesday. Very easy to get in, simply showed the digital priority pass and the boarding pass to the front desk. Pretty spacious lounge with sofas, tables, and big comfy privacy chairs. I think the sign on the wall said the lounge can hold a max capacity of 110 people. There were maybe only 20 people inside. Lots of wall outlets and USB ports for charging everywhere. Free Wi-Fi available. Small food selection compared to some other lounges. There were muffins, cookies, trail mix, some salads. The only hot food was the pretty cool pancake making machine that makes 2 pancakes in like 90 seconds. Drinks include: a coffee machine that can make espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, hot chocolate, etc., soda machine, and of course water. I believe there's also a full alcohol bar with a bartender but I didn't really check it out. Overall, a good lounge to relax in while waiting for a departing flight. read more

12/14/2021 I think this is my first ever visit to an Alaska Lounge. Location: within terminal 7 at John F. Kennedy International Airport; post TSA. Access: if you have an active Priority Pass membership (that is how I entered). Certain elite members within the One World alliance can also access. Access is also permitted with one day passes priced at $50 or if you have an Alaska Airlines credit card with a 50% off discounted rate. Interior: it's not the fanciest airport lounge I've visited, but is designed to convey a sense of modern comfort. Open seating and private booth seating is available. There is one buffet area with cold items, pastries, and warm food such as oatmeal. There is also a self serve coffee and tea station along with a barista if you wanted something more crafted. There was also a bar, but it looked closed so I didn't grab anything alcoholic. What I liked: I'll always make time to visit a lounge just to grab a bite and to relax before boarding a flight. It made sense to visit this lounge since I was in fact flying with Alaska Airlines. What I Wished: well, a buffet with more hot foods other than oatmeal would have been a welcome addition. This is one do two lounges offered in Terminal 7. There is a lot of amenities but I think not enough staff to run it in full swing. Maybe because of Covid. Nevertheless, they still offer a lot! There is: -Salad bar. The white grilled chicken was pretty good. Not dry at all -dessert bar -pancake waffle maker -Starbucks coffee machine -variety of tea bags -variety of milk -a bar with most alcohol complimentary. He is very kind and considerate. He will go out of his way to make you your hot chocolate or cocktail! One of my guilty pleasures as a frequent traveler is indulging in an airport lounge, which has ultimately become my favorite way to kill time before a flight. Having flown Alaska and their Oneworld partners on many occasions, I have been to this lounge more times than I can count. As a regular lounge, it's decent but as a flagship lounge, it's a disappointment. Located in Terminal 7 just after the airport's worst TSA checkpoint (#1), the Alaska Lounge is on the second floor, adjacent to the British Airways Lounge (#2). It was unveiled to the traveling public roughly 3 years ago with a lot of hype since it was Alaska's first foray into the east coast market. It is open to anyone who is flying first class, has membership to either Priority Pass or Alaska Lounge, and/or a cardholder for American Airlines Executive World Mastercard. There is usually a person out front who (slowly) checks the status of each person coming in. The long walk from the entrance down the hallway gives a bit of an impression that something epic is coming. But upon turning the corner, the lounge is really plain at best. The have a small and limited food station in the middle of the room, along with a bar, a handful of lounge chairs + couches, and a pretty solid view of the planes. Overall, there aren't a lot of bells and whistles when it comes to amenities. The bathrooms are clean, but small. The WiFi goes from good to mediocre in an instant. There are no showers, kid's areas, or a quiet room. The staff is lovely for the most part, but severely understaffed during crowded travel times. Regarding the latter, there isn't enough people coming around to handle the bar patrons or pick up after folks. Ultimately, for lounge fans, this is hardly a destination and I find the place more disappointing than I do impressive. I suppose it works fine in a pinch, but for folks who are paying good money to be here, it's definitely not worth more than some light bites, limited WiFi work, and a decent plane view. By far the worst airport lounge I've been to! No real food. Same stale options all day. The coffee bar is not self serve and the counter which they serve closes super early. If you're used to SFO, this is an extreme downgrade. It's also very small, not a lot of seating at all. Disappointed as the first time I came in 2023 the service was much better. I had an hour or so before my boarding. I was looking for a place to hang out without having to wait around in the boarding area. Perhaps it was all down to time of day. When I arrived at this lounge there was barely anyone inside (that's usually what I prefer anyway). The food stations were stocked and the hot station was barely touched (in fact it looked like a fresh batch of tortellini). Food wise I wasn't expecting much and perhaps it was due to my low expectations (after reading the Yelp reviews, of course) that made me come to this conclusion. Compared to the AMEX centurion lounge, I had to wait a good 30-45 mins to get in and then barely got any seating with a 3 hour limit inside. Here it was pretty low stress and I even had enough time to get some work done. Lounge food can be hit or miss. I am pretty happy if I can get some basic food groups in. I would stick to this lounge just given how close it was to my departure gate to be honest. I really don't want to have to hop terminals via the air train on the land side just to get some decent food. There's your veggies with dip, some mixed greens, a main hot dish, and snacks for the road. That's pretty much checking all my boxes and perfectly acceptable. Everything here is self service (the signs say to bring your used dishes to the front). Maybe that's the majority of the complaints in here. It boils down to staffing levels and good help is hard to find these days. I'm a little torn on where to put the Alaska Lounge at JFK in terminal 7 given that this was the only lounge I had access to (without having to hop to another terminal). Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars because it is limited. I would bump this up if the lounge were to be fully staffed, had a larger food selection (compared to SFO's lounge) and a barista station that was open (it was closed). read more

So it ends up not really being relaxing a more like a rush since there's a line and a wait time before your time to come in. So really it's a 30-45 min time you spend on the lounge for the priority pass members. I thought the chilly was good and the latte machine was great! I probably spend too much time in the air. At least two staff at the Alaska Lounge recognize me on sight. That is not bad. They are friendly and helpful. It merely suggests I am flying quite a bit. My loyalty also is divided, despite the best practice for those who wish to accumulate miles and acquire status (just has to do with schedules, and I have achieved MVP Gold anyway). The lounge is not crowded. That is an advantage compared to other options. You sometimes have to wait over at the Amex Centurion. That also involves going through security twice. When British Airways was next door (they moved to another terminal), I sometimes ducked in there. But Alaska is a fine choice. I do not regret having paid to join. I use the SF venue as well. The ability to spread out should not be underestimated. Once, a guy was doing a FaceTime call very loudly; he was shushed, and he complied for a bit. Another time, there was a hostile guy, one of those people who just radiates an implicit animosity. Neither of those is the fault of the carrier. That their space is spacious offsets it. (For that matter, it is generally much calmer than at the other terminals. The only hassle is the screening. They do not have Pre Check reliably, and they also lack CLEAR.) One of the best tests is whether you can make a meal from the buffet. You can. If you worked at it, you actually could have a healthy dinner. They often have stuffed grape leaves and a salad, as well as cheese and crackers and a soup. You also can consume items such as mac and cheese (that might be limited to the lunch menu, so it depends on when you are there) and dessert. They always have bagels and bread. Alaska has a different policy than rivals: no tipping. I assume they are offering sufficient compensation. That is for the best. The folks I encounter seem happy to be there. read more

Entered as a guest with my priority pass member friend and had a pleasant time. Things to remember are that only a small number of priority pass members are allowed in at a time so if you're not one of the first in the lounge you will have to wait at least 30 minutes to enter. If you don't want to wait, the fee to enter is 60 bucks which is not worth it at all. If I'm not mistaken each person gets two free alcoholic drinks with entry. The food selection was abysmal. It was more like a salad bar than anything and the only hot food I saw were soups and Mac and cheese. Personally, I was perfectly happy because their Mac salad was pretty good and who doesn't love Mac and cheese, even if this one tasted boxed. There was Starbucks coffee available with all the syrups and sauces to make up your own drink. The working space looked cute but because I was tight on time I didn't get to try and enjoy it. There was a cold water dispenser for refilling bottles and staff seemed on top of refilling things. The bathroom was very clean. If you're a priority pass member, there's legit no harm in going and taking advantage of the perks. Just know that it'll likely be a speed run visit. read more

Nothing impressive about this lounge in comparison to others that I have visited. We had just arrived into JFK at the crack of dawn and were permitted entry due to Alaska Lounge membership. Note that for departures, access is only granted within two hours of the flight unfortunately. As a greeting we had a clear, wide view of a beautiful sunrise due to their long wall of glass windows. Breakfast and snack selection was limited, but at least covered all the common categories and had hot foods. Complimentary barista service was provided as well, although it was closed during a part of our stay. Options include: latte, mocha, cappuccino, americano, espresso, macchiato, and hot chocolate. Drinks can be requested to be in to-go form. As for the lounge itself, it was not that large and seating was spaced out enough to not feel cramped. More people started to come in as the early morning shifted towards peak hours. Independent Wi-Fi with a password is available in the lounge. read more

This is the second time I have been to this specific lounge and definitely would come back! This Alaska Lounge is located in Terminal 7th right next to the British Airlines Lounge. You take the escalator up right after security. This location is open to Priority Pass members which I appreciated. This time around, I came in the afternoon (around 3:30 PM) and there was unfortunately a wait to get in. However, I was able to get off the waitlist still with an hour to spare before my flight boarded. The waitlist is super easy as they text/email you once you are able to come back to enjoy the lounge. The employees are really nice and keep the place clean throughout as they walk around picking up any leftover plates/cups that people left. Although the food isn't comparable to a Centurian Lounge but they do have snacks that you can hold you over during a short flight. The alcohol is, of course, always nice, and was able to enjoy a strawberry margarita. The lounge is pretty quiet and there are a lot of electric sockets throughout. The availability of alcoholic drinks are dependent on whether if the bartender is behind the bar or not. Wasn't expecting to see an Alaska Lounge on the East Coast, but I guess the Virgin merger gave them the impetus needed to open one in JFK. Got in here with my Priority Pass, although I did have to wait a few minutes for it to clear out for me to get in. This Alaska Lounge is actually VERY beautiful. It's larger than the ones I'm used to at 4900 square feet. Includes plenty of seating, tons of natural light as it is at the corner of the terminal and uses glass for walls, and even has a fireplace! I felt very comfortable during my trip here. As far as the amenities, it's the same your standard Alaska Lounge with the full bar and similar food options...well, maybe slightly more food. The most noticeable difference in terms of amenities is that there is a full coffee bar. Unfortunately, it was closed during my particular visit so that didn't really help. But yes, they do have the pancake maker if you were wondering. I suppose having an Alaska Lounge on the East Coast is better than not having one. Not that it'll help me next time I come to the East Coast because I'm flying out of EWR, but in the future! read more

Absolute worst lounge I have ever been in. Ok let me correct that. If you enjoy hardly any fresh food, limited options, and a staff who seems to have the main job of keeping you out then this place is perfect for you. My gripe is that I know there are new rules for many of the lounges but this is ridiculous here. I am a Priority Pass member that gives me free access and I got there about 15 minutes before I am supposed to be let in. The hostess acted like it was a big deal to come in early but once I got there I counted six people in this lounge. There was plenty of room and I am like there must be something special here that they were trying to keep a secret. Nope. Not a single thing special with this lounge except that it was the closest to my gate. If you wanted peace and quiet at a clean place then this place is great because those who work in the lounge will not bother you or ask if you need anything. It was not like they were busy because the food needed some replacement as the items were running low. The limited food they did have was flavorless to the point you were getting mad at free food. That is unheard of for me but here I was upset at the decision of wasting my time coming to this lounge. This is another Alaska Lounge that is present in most major cities like Los Angeles and Seattle. Fortunately, I did not have any issues going in as a priority pass holder at 6:30am Tuesday, even though it was pretty crowded inside. As usual, they have the standard cold breakfast selections with the flying pancake maker that is the highlight of the lounge. The cold hard boiled eggs were not fresh, though, as one of the eggs was sour. To keep on the safe side, just go with the pancakes and the steel cut oatmeals in the morning as I got nervous that I would get sick from the egg. The bar says they open at 7am but there was no one around until 7:45am. Despite the inconvenience, I was able to get a free mimosa, where the bartender gave generous amounts of champagne which is a nice touch to an otherwise mediocre experience. Keep in mind there are a lot of windows in this lounge, so your mileage may vary in terms of enjoyment. It was a little too bright to sit in certain areas of the lounge in the morning, but it does give a nice open vibe to the lounge to start the day. read more

The lounge opened around 10 minutes after opening hours but the host was very nice and apologetic about it. I came with as a priority pass member and brought in a guest without any problems. Upon arrival, it was very empty since it was earlier in the morning. The cold / pastry bar had very little options. A huge bowl of boiled eggs, some yogurt, banana, oranges, steel cut oats, bagels (tasted a few days old) and scones (very hard). I'd probably avoid this if I visit again. On a different counter, there's a self serve pancake maker, coffee machine and a bunch of tea options. You can always order food but that is all additional.
