Pretty much the ultimate lounge experience. Even when it is packed, which it was when we went, we still managed to find comfortable seats and enjoy the amenities. The food in this lounge is excellent, highlighted by the full service restaurant which is on-site. While I was not super thrilled with the burrata, my burger was pretty tasty, and the desserts were top board. If you don't have time, the buffet is also expansive and has a lot of the same food available. The highlight here are the made to order salads, and the fresh baked brown butter chocolate chip cookies. Wow they were so good with a glass of milk. I took a shower while here, and that too was an excellent experience. You get your own full bathroom, any toiletries you could need are available, and even some you would not expect. The shower was roomy and had multiple shower heads. Of course, open bar, and I recommend the espresso Martini. The only think that was disappointing was the spa service... I mean, the fact there are free spa services at all, means I cannot complain too much. But the facial treatment offered basically amounted to putting on some lip balm and rubbing ice cubes all over my face. Absolutely the best lounge I have ever been to. There is a full Service restaurant that 1 can order from the menu, as well as a buffet. For breakfast, they had an omelette station, a bagel station, with multiple different offerings of hot and cold items. There are spa services, including any facials and mini massages that are all about 15 minutes long. You can even have a hand massage! There are sleep hard areas and you can have a shower. I enjoyed the chair massage which is AI controlled for precisely massaging your body. There are multiple different areas to sit in including a lush green area. There is a complete wall and you're allowed to order drinks at any time the service staff are amazing and will make drinks according to whatever you desire. I had a pink petal. You must be booked on Delta flight and no guests are allowed. You cannot purchase entrance into the lounge either. It is well worth arriving early to go to this lounge. read more

This is perhaps the best lounge I have ever visited in the USA, at least for US carriers. There was no wait to enter, and we were seated immediately at the restaurant. The food was 10x better than anything I've ever seen in Polaris, *A, One World or any other lounges here. The buffet was also 5x better though we only ate in the lounge. The entire staff had great attitudes and was super friendly (a rarity in lounges and even more rare in NYC). Plenty of comfortable seating - no difficulty finding seats in the bar area or anywhere. I had the good fortune to visit Delta One Lounge in JFK several times and this is my honest opinion. Pros: Services are far superior than many A1 lounges that I have been to unless you're flying La Premiere by Air France. Other than that it was way better than Emirates itself and I an Emirates Platinum Member I must admit this. The decor feels like vintage dinner with a modern touch, it's almost like old Hollywood glamour. Many dishes are made a la carte, a true definition of fine dining. Several Chefs and Sous Chef are eager to cook you whatever you want with a smile. There are several seating areas that you can use to enjoy your delicious 5 course meals and drinks. Who can forget the quiet room with several 0 gravity chairs for a relaxing massage before your flight. Everyone was beyond polite and attentive. Honestly, this lounge makes both the AMEX & regular DL lounges feel very basic. I was pleasantly surprised. The experience is far better & above what you will experience in the cabin. Once you come you will have no desire to leave. It's therapeutic & magical. There's something for everyone there. Most importantly it's never as crowded as the regular lounge. Cons: Although everyone is super friendly and attentive. It almost feels like disingenuous & rehearsed. Everyone is repeating the same lines as if they were told what to say which caused me to question and or doubt that they really felt that way. This experience never gets old, it's like adrenaline rushing through your veins, it takes you so high that every time you get on the actual flight DL one cabin, you feel a sense of disappointment. Overall, I never want my flight to be canceled delayed so badly when I am in this lounge. The attention to detail is world class and mastered by the most hardworking patrons. It's truly the 4 seasons of ALL US Airlines lounges. Just when I thought they couldn't compete with Emirates and/or Qatar, DL one lounge surpasses them. This is easily in the top three lounge experiences I have ever had... it's a sprawling and peaceful lounge with top tier amenities that makes me ok (or at least more ok) with any flight delays. The restaurant serves a full 3-course meal with options to fit a variety of diets. However, you will need at least an hour before your flight to enjoy as things are made to order. The casual selection is much faster and still has fresh options available include tacos, plates, poke bowls, and dessert. The staff is also kind and excellent. This time we had the pleasure of being there in the evening. There is not only a semi-outdoor seating area, tons of seating in the lounge, tasty buffet where you tell them what you want and they get it for you, but also complimentary spa treatments, and a full restaurant. There's even an eyeglass cleaner. It's a great lounge that rivals LAX (which will always be my favorite due to the dedicated Delta One departure entrance that includes its own TSA area). Delta hit it out of the park with their JFK Delta One Club based on the level of engaged service exhibited by its employees that work here on my most recent visit. I fly a lot with this airline and occasionally get to visit the D1 clubs. The JFK club is a great space, especially if you are there before noon. Most of the D1 flights go out in the afternoon so in the morning, you will have the place to yourself. It is a bright, beautiful space with some great solo seating options and a glassed in observation deck for plane spotting if that is your thing. Their sit-down restaurant has a good selection of items that will appeal to most and the steak I ordered came out perfectly done which was impressive for an airport setting. The bar is well-stocked with more than the usual rail offerings and there are carts of wine scattered around the club encouraging you to never have an empty glass. I have been here twice, had a different cocktail each time and both were tasty creations based on some classics. They were surprisingly stiff for an airport club so pace yourself. You have been warned. What impressed me the most was the level of genuine service that every staff member seemed to offer. From the lady mopping the floor to all of the servers and bartenders, they were simply great and kept coming over to check on me. I was content to sit in the sun, watch a few planes and get some work done on their fast internet connection but I think they were genuinely concerned that I did not have constant food and beverage in front of me while doing so. I had no less than 5 different people come by in the course of an hour checking on me to see if they could get me something, anything. I thought they were going to offer to fan me and feed me grapes haha. Humor aside, the service was awesome and you can tell that Delta has spent some time training the people that work here to a different standard (in a very good way). I really can't think of a legitimate gripe about the place. It brings back memories of what upper class flying and travel used to be like before the airlines made their standard clubs too easily accessible to the masses. I had the chance to visit the Delta one lounge at JFK and it really impressed me. The space is huge, modern, actually calm - not the usual airport chaos. Food wise, it's way beyond typical lounge snacks. I'm vegan and had no problem finding great options, which is rare in airport lounges. They also offer 100% kosher meals that are legit - not just an afterthought but high-quality and well prepared. Even down to the silverware. If you kosher then you know if not go ahead and Google that. On top of that, there's a full sit down restaurant if you want a real meal plus plenty of lighter bites and drinks The amenities make it feel more like a wellness retreat than an airport lounge. Showers, quiet rooms, massage chairs - everything designed so you can actually relax and rest before a flight. For the most part the staff were genuinely attentive and nice without hovering. Access is only for Delta one which keeps it exclusive and all the times I've been in a Delta one lounge it's never been overcrowded. Ever since JFK announced that they were opening this Delta One lounge, I knew I had to go and see it for myself. Luckily, the perfect opportunity arose when I was going to Italy this summer with some friends. I decided right then and there that although I couldn't afford Delta One seats for my entire itinerary, I definitely could upgrade to Delta One for my first leg to Rome (especially since I got a great price on it). My entire experience at the Delta One Lounge was amazing! I love that there's a separate check-in area for your bags and everything is so quiet and chill and one on one. I'm an anxious flyer so this whole atmosphere was great for my pre-flight nerves. When you get to the actual lounge, you're greeted by a warm reception with some nice cold bubbly. Once inside, you recall that there's a whole restaurant that you can eat at for free plus a mini spa you can go to for complimentary treatments. Unfortunately, when it's busy, you really have to get to the airport probably six hours ahead of time to even chance getting one of those spa treatments... Goals for next time. I only got to indulge in the $30k massage chair (which I still had to wait about 30-45 minutes for) but it's worth it! Also, I feel like this goes without saying, but make sure you have dinner at the actual restaurant. You're basically getting a full gourmet 3 course meal and all you have to do is tip your server. Everything I had that night was exceptional, especially my main course of NY sirloin strip steak cooked perfectly medium rare. If you don't have time to sit down at the restaurant, they do have lots of quick food options to grab outside of it. Try to also make time for a drink at the main bar. I had probably two signature Old Fashioneds before my flight and I will admit I was a little tipsy when I got on but that was my plan to get through the takeoff. I will say though at times I thought it was a little too packed but I guess everyone is just rich nowadays haha. I also wish there were some old-school vibes like someone playing a piano in the corner. I think that would really class it up a bit. I wish more places would embrace the golden age of air travel mood, you know? Still, the lounge was definitely a highlight of my travel for this trip and I hope to go back again one day! Having often used Delta's Sky Clubs across the country, which are often crowded and noisy, I had never used a Delta One Lounge before, and was intrigued to see what it would be like. It was nice, but, frankly, not all it was cracked up to be. When we arrived, we noticed immediately how crowded it was. I was half-expecting a much smaller crowd. It was really crowded, however. We had a tough time finding a seat at first, but got lucky when walking through one area to find a table recently abandoned. We grabbed it and waited for it to be cleaned, which happened quickly. As crowded as the facility was, it was still surprisingly quiet. There seemed to be a higher level of respect among the patrons in lounge. No loud cell phone chatter (you know, the busy guys that want everyone to know just how busy and important they are), no screaming kids, no loud conversations, no music. That was really nice. Our attendant was wonderful and sweet, getting our drink orders pronto. It took us a while to get the drinks, and they ended up being wrong. So we went to the bar and retrieved the correct drinks. The food was exceptional, especially for lounge food. The salmon we tried was fresh and cooked perfectly. Moist and tasty, the way salmon should be. The fried rice was also quite good, as was the seared broccoli and kale. Wrt the latter, I've never been a fan of kale, but this kale made me change my mind. Desserts were bountiful and yummy. The food was buffet-style, and we often had to queue up to get it. There is a sit-down restaurant experience, but we didn't try that. All and all, we had a nice time, and I would do it again. It's a nice perk of flying international first class. But, I was still disappointed with how crowded the facility was, and that we had to wait to sit (despite a relatively short window before our flight). read more

Redefining the North American airport lounge experience. I had a morning flight so sadly didn't get to try the massage or restaurant. The 15 min massage chair was nice - I had lights off and listened to ocean waves. The buffet food was less interesting/trendy than at Chase Sapphire, but was instead classics very well executed (similar to Amex approach). The egg white frittata was maybe the best one I ever had. There was also a bagel bar that looked good. I liked that the buffet wasn't self serve - made me feel less compelled to eat too much. Hope I get to try the restaurant next time! I've experienced lounges previously and thought they were pretty good but this experience by far has been the best I've ever had. The moment we walked in, it was suggested that we make reservations at the restaurant first and then head over to the massage chairs. We did and we were blown away by the food and the gravity free massage chairs in the private rooms with spa like sounds in almost complete darkness. My expectations might have been too high based on the reviews here. We started with a meal at the Brasserie. We were seated right away and got our wine fairly quickly. After that things fell apart a bit, with the server bringing one of us the wrong starter followed by a long wait for the correct one. Wine service also largely disappeared, though there were plenty of places outside the restaurant to get drinks. The food on the buffet looked and sounded delicious but suffered from sitting out too long. The food was certainly a step way up from the usual Delta Lounge, but I would in no way compare it to a good fine dining restaurant on the outside. Highlights were the massage chairs and facials. The process for signing up is confusing and the wait can be long if you come at the wrong time, but if you have enough time it's definitely worth it. Other than that, it was reminiscent of a Centurion Lounge - spacious but crowded, with a decent food and drink selection. Nice for an airport lounge, but still an airport lounge. read more

He was by far the pinnacle of who you'd want to encounter the moment you walked in ANYWHERE! The missus got a "jet lag" treatment at the spa. I had a drink at the bar while she did and then we went to have an incredible meal at the restaurant. THEN!!! We sat with a drink awaiting our next flight and listened to a soothing jazz band which really hit the spot. Flying back from Reykjavik on our way home, were down right giddy about our first visit to the Delta One Lounge @ JFK. We had already visited the Delta One Lounge at LAX, an oasis of luxury and endulgence, we had high expectations of the Flagship Delta One Lounge. Upon entering the lounge you are immediately hit with a cacophony loud bustling noises, from people talking loudly on their cell phones, to dishes crashing and other kitchen noises. We walked up to the sit down restaurant looking for a seat. "We would be happy to serve you but our first availability is in 30 minutes or maybe longer". What ? Really ? Okay, lets just see what was on offer at the buffet. Beautifully presented, this looked promising. There was a decent line but appeared to be moving. Once up to the counter, the server, a young lad, could not have been more apathetic with a complete look of boredom on his face. By his "walking dead" movements, it was clear he was questioning his life choices. A bit of advice, perhaps the service industry is not your calling. The food at the buffet, while attractive was nothing short of inedible. The Shumai was gummy and stale. The cheese were hard and equally stale tasting. I would say the meatballs were sourced from Walmart, but I wouldn't want to insult the quality at Walmart. What a disappointment. We decided to put our name on the waitlist for the restaurant again. While still a long wait time, the maitre'd was able to sit us in about 10 minutes. Hmm...this is encouraging. The restaurant was beautiful in design but had the voluminous noise of a crowded NY Diner. The complete opposite of relaxing. Our waiter was absolutely wonderful, professional and friendly, he was a welcome break from the relentless onslaught of bad food and poor service we had encountered thus far. The food was delightful. It really was. Beautifully presented and well prepared it was quite good. The Calamari was some of the best we have ever had. And while the Souffle was not really our jam, it was well prepared and a must try when at the lounge. Loud, worn around the edges and staffed by employees that would clearly prefer to be elsewhere, the Delta One Lounge @ JKF was a giant fail in our eye. So much anticipation. I imagine most trips to this lounge are highly rated. On this particular day, a wrench was thrown in my travel itinerary. I was flying from Fort Lauderdale to JFK (NY), short layover, and continuing on to Madrid, Spain. The FAA had different plans for me and 10 hours before I departed, my flight from JFK to Madrid was canceled. I credit Delta Skymiles representative that fielded my call. She immediately reassured me she'd find a solution. However, she didn't have one right then. Her advice was to get on my 7am flight to JFK and "they'd figure it out when I got there". I was cautiously optimistic, but I trusted in the process and the company. The good news is by the time I arrived at 930am in NY, they indeed had a solution. The not so good news was my next flight wasn't until 7pm. 90% of the time, that would be a rough day in the airport, even if you had access to the standard Delta Sky Club. On this particular Monday in November, I was fortunate enough to be flying Delta One across the pond to Madrid. Even more fortunate was the fact that a little over a year prior, JFK launched the iconic Delta One Club to compete with other luxury international airline competitors. I was not aware of this and spent almost an hour sitting on the floor stealing electricity from a hallway outlet in-between the outdoor entrance and the second entrance into the airport. Luckily Delta sent me a message to see an attendant and she informed me I was missing out on an amazing perk. She led me to the floor above and a short walk away from any other humans was the entrance to airport lounge heaven. This was morning, so there couldn't have been more than 30 people in the 40k square foot lounge upon entry. There is a large top shelf bar as soon as you enter, an outdoor sky deck overlooking the gates and aircraft past that. To the right is a full service sit down restaurant, followed by several sections of walk up food service of every genre you can think of. Tapas to full entrée's, deserts galore. Traveling deeper, I came upon the Delta One Spa... say what! (that's what I said!) They offered a half dozen treatments. I went with the cryogenic facial. No clue what that was, I just knew I needed one after the start to my day. After that, I was ready to take on the world. I went to the bar for an outstanding old fashioned, grabbed a small charcuterie board, and sat on the sky deck to count my blessings. I then opted for 10 minutes in complete darkness with soft music playing in the most advanced massage chair I've ever seen, let alone used. It completely covered my hands and feet, using inflatables to mimic massage on them. They had to peel me off of it at the end of my time. Next up was another cocktail while I waited for my early dinner reservation. I enjoyed some champagne (because why not), along with a roasted beet and warm goat cheese salad, followed by a generous can of caviar. The rest gets blurry from there... I had 7 hours in a place most visitors get less than an hour. The wildest part is everything I've described was included in my Delta One ticket, absent a 9k skymile upgrade for the caviar, which was more than worth it. The photos will better describe things. The moral of the story is, just when you think the universe is making things complicated, the tides can turn and deliver the most amazing plot twist. Stay calm, think positive, and always sign up for travel rewards programs . Definitely factor this club into your decision to upgrade on an international flight to Delta One. When you visit the Delta One Lounge I highly recommend putting your name down for the restaurant first! Then you can head to the relaxation area (put your name down for the other amenities) or grab a drink at the bar. The restaurant dining is that of a fine dining experience. FYI - I did receive the airplane coursed meal during my flight and I'll say that meal felt more like school lunch where you kind of eat to feel full. Meh. Now, the restaurant from the Delta One Lounge is different where they provide the full experience of dining: the service is amazing every coursed meal is deliciously served (warm and plated), and you leave happy with a food or drink filled belly, or both! Between courses they'll give you champagne or additional bread and ensure you're having a good time dining with them. Once I left the restaurant nice and full, I went to the relaxation area and got a resting pod to take a mini nap to digest my food. There's a healthy drink area near the relaxation area (green juices or combination of tea and fruit juices) and they are available on tap! Overall, I definitely recommend checking out the Delta One Lounge, they definitely set the lounge experience bar high and hope to visit the lounge again very soon! read more

Wow! What an amazing experience. I have always enjoyed going to Delta SkyClubs in the past, but boy oh boy, the DeltaOne experience at JFK was NEXT level. I've flown DeltaOne a few times previously before the DeltaOne lounge experience was opened at JFK. Definitely a lot more elevated of an experience now. Imagine being in a tranquil oasis in a crazy hectic airport terminal that is Terminal 4 @JFK. When you arrive to Terminal 4, you enter the DeltaOne exclusive check-in area and security line. Felt like going to museum as you got to admire a lot of cool art as you made your way through. There's even a little hydration and snack station near the DeltaOne check in area. This area is open to Virgin Atlantic Upper Class passengers as well. Check in and security took tops 5 minutes. Everyone was so friendly and they seemed to really like their job at the check in and TSA lines area. Maybe because foot traffic is lower, so happier employees? After security, you follow a direct path straight to the Delta One lounge. You are greeted by very friendly staff members who are happy to share what to do (and how to do it) at the lounge. At the DeltaOne lounge, there are a bunch of cool amenities including: - a made to order brasserie restaurant (first come first served) with plenty of appetizers, mains, desserts and adult beverages to choose from - A wellness spa area which has various massage services, massage chairs, and quiet area for folks to snooze - Plenty of shower stalls without much of any wait - Shoe shine area - A full buffet area that is served by staff behind the counter (e.g. very clean!) - A pressed juice bar by the wellness area - Two phone booth areas for teleworkers (completely full when I was there sadly) - An "outdoor" lounge area (fully covered and with window tinting) - Plenty of areas to stay hydrated and bar areas for adult beverage fun I got to the lounge about 3 hours before my flight, so I got to do most of what I wanted - eat at the brasserie restaurant area, got a "jet lag" upper body massage service, and took a shower. If I had more time, I would have wanted to stay here longer if I could. This has to be, hands down, the best Delta lounge I've been to thus far (and I have been to most of them), and frankly one of the best premium lounges in the US (maybe even surpassing the UAL Polaris lounge experiences). I hope to be back here again, flying DeltaOne via JFK. read more

Yeah... it's worth purchasing a Delta One ticket just to come here! The food and beverage program is exceptional and includes everything complimentary. House made potato chips at the bar were some of the best I've had, as was the vodka martini. Their choice of vermouth was new to me and made the drink really special. The buffet is absolutely incredible. I had the lyonnaise flatbread and Doyle have easily eaten them entire tray! What a great combination of food from salmon filets to chicken piccata. Service was my only issue... specially, there were WAY too many staff members working the bar for the number of customers. As a result, it was like they were all having a little private party behind the bar laughing and giggling, talking about work issues. Some ambient music would help to drown it all out. I highly recommend this place and will definitely find a way to come back! read more

Wow! So worth the price of a Delta One seat! This is the premier airport lounge. From the moment you step into JFK, and into their exclusive entrance, you know you're in for a treat. The separate TSA screening area makes you feel like you're flying private. We got through security in 2 minutes. Once you get to the lounge, it's almost overwhelming what you want to do first. The center bar is inviting, but we opted to eat at the restaurant since we knew it would get crowded. The service and food is incredible! Our waiter, Edwin, treated us like royalty. Honestly, we didn't need to eat a 3 course meal since we were planning on eating on the flight, but we couldn't resist. After our meal, we tried to book a massage but didn't know they stopped service by 8pm. Bummer, but we did get to try the massage chairs. It was a perfect way to unwind before the flight. I actually dozed off. We ended our lounge experience with a drink at the bar. Mark is a fantastic bartender and we enjoyed our conversation. I'm going to save all my SkyMiles to upgrade to Delta One just so I can come back! read more

My god this place is an upgrade from the old lounge. I never understood why people loved lounge access so much because it wasn't really anything special. But now? This place is great! All kinds of food and drink options. Even more or less an actual restaurant in there. The bar serves decent alcohol selections and not bottom shelf crap. It's very busy but the staff was in-point. Finally a lounge that's actually worth it. Good job Delta! read more
