I have chosen to utilize this service a few times when returning from overseas. If my flight into JFK arrives late and I am unable to catch a connection to Fort Lauderdale, I crash here. It is easier than leaving the terminal/airport, getting a hotel, then returning to the airport the next morning to catch a flight. Having said that, there are a few things to keep in mind. This is not a hotel or presented as providing hotel accommodations. You can only stay here if you arrived in terminal 4 or are departing from terminal 4. It is a small room with a futon style couch and a small desk. You will be using the airport bathroom. If you want a shower, it is extra, and has a time limit. If you temper your expectations, this can be a convenient solution, that is slightly less expensive that a standard hotel room and the taxi/Uber expenses. It is a place to lay your head and rest in moderate comfort. I give it 3 stars because you don't get a blanket and the pillow is a felt throw pillow. I don't feel comfortable putting my face on it for obvious reasons. The room is clean and the staff is very attentive. Once they give you the lay of the land, you don't need much more during your stay. I arrived at 9pm and left 4am to begin my journey home. They have a wide variety of beverages and snacks, no "food". If you're there before 10pm, the airport restaurants and bars will still be serving. Plan ahead if you arrive later and desire a meal. I recommend if you understand what you're getting into and expectations are properly set.

The fresh drinks and delicious hot meals were wonderful, and the service was excellent. The staff greeted us warmly at the entrance and said goodbye when we left, making the experience feel extra special. Best of all, they offer unlimited grab-and-go food, including salads, pastries, and drinks! The ambiance is relaxing, peaceful, and calming--perfect for unwinding before a flight. A wonderful lounge experience that I would highly recommend! Free access for primary Capital One Venture X cardholders.

Overcrowded, weak offerings, not to mention sometimes you can't even get in, no less get a seat. I recently gave up the credit card that allowed for "free" Admiral's Club membership, those these seem to be the most ubiquitous. I have Priority Pass and barely use it, especially if I'm with my husband because it costs too much IMO for a companion pass (love how they keep whittling away those perks). But on a recent visit to terminal 4 prior to a transatlantic flight, I knew I needed to see if I could at least get a snack and some water, so when I saw the Capital One Lounge, I went for it. I was greeted by the nicest lady who patiently walked me through entry, even though I stupidly left my boarding pass and credit cards about a half a mile away at my gate with my husband. You don't need Priority Pass to enter, just a Capital One card, I believe any tier. Guests can get a pass at 50 dollars, I believe. I guess it's worth it if your guest drinks a lot and has no dietary restrictions. I was pretty impressed with the amount of seating, work stations and tables and easily found a seat. While the cold bar only had one plant based option (thank you for clearly marking dietary restrictions), the menu that you order from had zero. I had the quickest, tiniest snack (I think it was couscous?) and filled my water bottle and went on my way. The bathrooms are private, clean and there's also showers available. Overall a much more positive experience than a lot of lounges (if I can even get in-- Priority Pass is really not good and I'll be moving to a lower tier Capital One card when it comes time to renew).

As soon as I sat down at a table staff came over and asked if I'd like any drinks to start. When I mentioned cucumber seltzer they brought it out with a glass of ice right away. Their venison burger was tasty and filling with fresh tomato, lettuce, cheese, pickles and a brioche bun. The fries that came with it were the chunky kind and more wedge-like, not very crispy, though I was hungry and polished off about half of them with ketchup. Duck tostada was a nice (several) bite(s), a little muddled in flavor though ingredients were fresh and I enjoyed the crispy tortilla crunch. Of course I had to get a dark chocolate pistachio cookie to go too! To correct some misinformation from recent reviews want to mention that this lounge has limited hours for Priority Pass from 5:00am-13:30pm, however full hours are until 23:30pm for balance travelers. Most of my stops here are usually in the afternoon/early evening on weekdays, I haven't seen it very packed, with exception of maybe once or twice. Also haven't tried their breakfast menu so can't comment on that. Will say that after coming here a few years starting to notice some wear on the furniture, perhaps some could use a bit of re-upholstery. Chase and Delta lounges have newer furniture though I'd prefer not to wait in line for entry.

The lounge is spacious, with plenty of comfortable seating, and everything was clean and well maintained. There are two buffet areas, plus a separate coffee and dessert/ice cream bar on the upper level. I found the food to be surprisingly flavorful for an airport lounge, and I also appreciated that kosher meals are available upon request. If you have time before your flight, don't miss the 1850 Speakeasy tucked inside the lounge. It's a fun addition and serves well-crafted specialty cocktails in a more intimate setting. One of my favorite features was the view overlooking the tarmac. It's a great place to relax while watching the constant flow of aircraft taxiing and taking off. Overall, an excellent lounge experience and one we'd happily visit again.

The WiFi was advertised but did not show up as a network and they had no forks available. A good Centurion location but not the best I've seen.

Today I checked in with a host, got on the waitlist and waited about 45 minutes before getting in. The centurion lounge next door also posted a sign saying it was at capacity and there was an online waitlist. What I don't like about this lounge is I cannot pick a seat. They just escort you and let you know what it's available for you. As other reviews say, I wondered why so many available seats there when a lot of people are waiting outside? I ordered an Espresso Martini, which was rather light on the vodka. Since the internet was down, online ordering was unavailable as well, leaving only the hot-plate, cafeteria-esque food. It's also worth mentioning that there were gnats flying around some of the hot plates. Still better than airplane food, I suppose. The biggest quality-of-life feature missing from this lounge is a selection of grab-and-go snacks. Aside from sodas, there was virtually nothing I could toss in my bag for the flight. The lounge itself has a nice interior, but it was packed with people and the overall experience fell well short of what you'd expect from a premium lounge.

Nothing new was brought out or replenished, which was pretty disappointing considering there was still an hour left before closing. The Wi-Fi was also not good and barely worked for us, which is a pretty big downside for an airport lounge where people may be trying to get some work done before a flight. My biggest question is: why does an international airport lounge at JFK close at 9 PM in the first place? There are plenty of late-night international departures, so the early closing time seems strange. And if you're going to stay open until 9, the food should at least be maintained until closer to closing. Overall, decent drinks and food options when they're actually available, but the poor Wi-Fi, lack of food replenishment, and early closing time definitely brought the experience down.

I have Global Entry so, I passed through immigrations. And JFK is a huge airport. It's a holiday weekend on top of that. The gentleman in front scanned by boarding pass and I was quickly on my way to enjoy the lounge with the 25 minutes I had left before boarding my next flight. I heard great things about this lounge and I wish I could stay for lunch but my flight was boarding at 10:45am, lunch was at 11am. The lounge is huge, spacious, bright and clean. Lots of seats. There's a big bar, different dining areas, a viewing deck where you can eat from or just chill, there's a "market", a bistro, etc. Being short on time, I only grabbed a few quick bites: Croque Monsieur (they toast it for you for 2 minutes), sausages, hashbrown, and a banana. Somebody took my drink order - I got a matcha latte which took over 5 minutes. Around 10:40am, they started putting out desserts for lunch. I grabbed a matcha tiramisu. I couldn't finish my matcha latte because I can't chug a hot beverage but it was delicious though. I still liked the variety of food for breakfast. They have pulled pork sandwiches, benedict, wraps, yogurt parfait, fresh fruits, fresh fruit cups, hardboiled eggs, sausages, hash browns, sandwiches, etc. Service was impeccable. The only down side was that this lounge was too far from my boarding gate (B32 - the Delta Sky Lounge is right next to it) which is not the lounge's fault. LOL. I had to sprint to my gate.
