Relatively empty, expected since it's Wednesday night

First Impressions: low lit and welcoming The Noms: food leaves much to be desired but at least it was fresh. Cheese tray changed often so it wasn't stale. Chicken soup was hot but noodles were over cooked and mushy (makes me think it's been out there for a long while).... Plenty of snacks that you can take to go, like chips and cookies (they were individually packaged) and shout out to whoever made the blondies and brookies (half brownie, half cookie) because they were sooo good. I'm not ashamed to say I wrapped about 3 each into napkins to take on the plane with me.... And this is AFTER eating like four of them. LOL In conclusion: the brookies and blondies are reason enough to make my way back here.

They let me in on a Saturday with Priority Pass. Very nice lounge. Good alcohol selection (self serve). The food is amazing. Would definitely recommend.

A bit dated in its appearance nevertheless it's a comfortable space with amenities you find in a world class lounge. Very European feel to it and that fine by me. Meals are healthy and plates sized to accommodate small portions. A self serve bar with several libations and bar snacks. Clean and tidy and serviced by personable staff always picking up the odd plates. The two times I've been here it had been pleasant. It's not top of the line but for the quiet, and all the other factors it's a great option in a bustling airport.

A true hidden oasis just feet away from the hubbub of security, crowds, and noise. Super clean with friendly attentive staff. A nice offering of complimentary foods and beverages. Nice wines. Above all else: it's QUIET!!!

Strong foul smell from this spoiled watermelon. They kept it on the buffet table after I told them it was spoiled.

This is my second time to be in this most exclusive airport lounge in US, and this might be the last time. The quality of food is unbelievable worse than the business class lounge downstairs. First of all, the watermelon at the buffet table was spoiled, and I had to spit out everything in my mouth. After I told the staff, they still left the rest of the spoiled watermelon for other first class passengers to enjoy. I ordered the lobster bisque, and it was half hot and half icy. So they didn't heat up in the microwave long enough. The prime rib was excellent, but the spinach underneath was flavorless. Not even a pinch of salt or a splash of lemen. My tiramisou was still half frozen, and I pretended it was tiramisou flavor ice cream. I specifically book this flight, since I had such a great experience last time at this lounge. I guess the first class experience is a wonderful memory in the past. I understand that they have to recycle unpopular food items from day to day due to limited number of first class passengers. But a little bit quality control is not too much to ask. I definitely will not book a flight out of JFK just for this wining and dining experience. The service quality at the Frankfurt first class terminal is much more consistent.

Bad food. Bad service. Hates every minute there. Dirty. Worn out and tattered. Depressing.

It's the first time that I ever venture into a capital one lounge. Staff at from desk gave an overview and the lay of the lounge. As you walked in after checking in there were nice comfortable chairs. The ambiance and decor is really inviting. Walked to the Bodega station and ordered a Swiss and Pastrami on a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel. Then I saw staff making coffee. I placed an order for a cappuccino, she said you have to place order where you were for the food. Mentioned first time, so she said no problem and she made the cappuccino as I waited. Had no idea when the bagel was going to be ready, so I went to find a place to sit and place my luggage.. Staff said Swiss and Pastrami on Cinnamon Bagel. I went to get item. In the Bodega you can get wrap and bagel sandwiches to go and pack to go items. On all the tables there were QR code where you scan and place an order. I decided to check out the buffet area. There were items that you pick up and put in tray and take to table. The Brussel sprout and deviled egg were delicious. The croissant with crème filling was addicting. There were bags where you can put sweets to go. If you flying Delta, make sure you pack and order stuff to go. Delta only serve beverage and chips/cookie... even if your flight is 6 hours. Restrooms spacious and clean. It was hard to find this place. After security, The Capital One Lounge is before Gate B 20. So if you pass Gate B20 then you passed the Capital One Lounge. So make sure you give ample time to get to your gate leaving the lounge. The gate where my flight was at Gate B53 so it's a good 20 minute walk. Lots of staff coming over to remove empty trays as well as clean tables. Look forward to checking out other Capital One Lounges.

The one thing I really liked was their tomato based vegetable soup. The vegetables were tender, the broth was savory and hearty, yet had a good balance of the vegetables natural sweetness and the acid from the tomatoes. There's also small bar and only 1 person working so there's always a lot of people waiting around that area. You can debate the nuances of each-- Centurion's food is better, Capital One's is larger and has a cheese monger, Ess a Bagel, and better cocktails. But compared to the sort of lounges that don't have their own bathrooms and offer nothing more than some bananas and cereal, you really could do worse. The Sapphire lounge in LGA is larger and prettier, but they pretty much offer the same amenities. The bathrooms have been clean every time I've visited, save for one time. The menu isn't vast but there's a little buffet station with fresh fruit and hot food, as well as a made to order menu with full sized portions. Sometimes the food has been quick, and other times it has taken a while, so you really should give yourself some buffer time if you're trying to get something from the made to order menu. The food is fine. I've visited enough times to say that the folks who work here have been so warm and nice each time, checking in and asking guests how they're doing. Garbage is cleaned up immediately, so it's a pretty well oiled machine in there. You can bring up to 2 guests and any additional guests cost just $27 more, which I'd say it's worth it, particularly if you have a long layover and will have a couple of drinks.

Pros: Services are far superior than many A1 lounges that I have been to unless you're flying La Premiere by Air France. Other than that it was way better than Emirates itself and I an Emirates Platinum Member I must admit this. The decor feels like vintage dinner with a modern touch, it's almost like old Hollywood glamour. Many dishes are made a la carte, a true definition of fine dining. Several Chefs and Sous Chef are eager to cook you whatever you want with a smile. There are several seating areas that you can use to enjoy your delicious 5 course meals and drinks. Who can forget the quiet room with several 0 gravity chairs for a relaxing massage before your flight. Everyone was beyond polite and attentive. Honestly, this lounge makes both the AMEX & regular DL lounges feel very basic. I was pleasantly surprised. The experience is far better & above what you will experience in the cabin. Once you come you will have no desire to leave. It's therapeutic & magical. There's something for everyone there. Most importantly it's never as crowded as the regular lounge. Cons: Although everyone is super friendly and attentive. It almost feels like disingenuous & rehearsed. Everyone is repeating the same lines as if they were told what to say which caused me to question and or doubt that they really felt that way. This experience never gets old, it's like adrenaline rushing through your veins, it takes you so high that every time you get on the actual flight DL one cabin, you feel a sense of disappointment. Overall, I never want my flight to be canceled delayed so badly when I am in this lounge. The attention to detail is world class and mastered by the most hardworking patrons. It's truly the 4 seasons of ALL US Airlines lounges. Just when I thought they couldn't compete with Emirates and/or Qatar, DL one lounge surpasses them. It's the only reason why I never regretted paying premium for DL one seat. I just wish that level of service continues in the cabin.

After that things fell apart a bit, with the server bringing one of us the wrong starter followed by a long wait for the correct one. Wine service also largely disappeared, though there were plenty of places outside the restaurant to get drinks. The food on the buffet looked and sounded delicious but suffered from sitting out too long. The food was certainly a step way up from the usual Delta Lounge, but I would in no way compare it to a good fine dining restaurant on the outside. Highlights were the massage chairs and facials. The process for signing up is confusing and the wait can be long if you come at the wrong time, but if you have enough time it's definitely worth it. Other than that, it was reminiscent of a Centurion Lounge - spacious but crowded, with a decent food and drink selection. Nice for an airport lounge, but still an airport lounge.

However, in recent years I have had the option to access a few - but even still I'm not hiking across the terminal; it needs to be within close proximity. I recently flew out of JFK Terminal 4, and the Delta Sky Club was super close to my gate. That being said, I decided to check it out. I have no perspective when it comes to lounges, but I will say this Sky Lounge is quite large. The perimeter of the lounge contains a variety of seating types, while the middle contains more seating plus the main food station. The layout is a little confusing, but from what I got it seems to be a big circle...maybe? The setting is pretty nice - seats are comfortable with outlets in convenient locations to juice up. I wouldn't say it was peaceful though, as there were a lot of people there. Even still, nobody was loud or disruptive - just be prepared to be among people. I wasn't hungry so did not partake in food, but what I saw looked good - and they had an impressive variety. Overall, I was impressed with this Delta Sky Club.
