Great service. They do get very busy. No appointments. I came back at 8:50 AM and was there before anyone else. Professional and polite. I was finished in 20 minutes. Highly recommended. read more

Absolute crooks! Did my visual inspection then my smog Failed me for the visual and still charged me!

Quick service & friendly staff who do efficient work and explains the process. Definitely a go-to spot.

I called and asked if I needed an appointment and he said no just show up. I showed up within an hour and a half. There was four cars ahead of me which wasn't a problem so I told him I would wait and he said no you could just keep waiting because then I'm gonna go take my lunch and I said OK Max well what time can I come back and he said maybe 145 or two but please know if anybody shows up, I'm gonna take them all ahead of you. He was very very rude and embarrassed me in front of everybody and I'm not sure why I do not recommend this place. I drove 30 minutes to come here. read more

BEWARE DONT USE THEM!!! I went there 9/30/25. My car's engine light was not on when I arrived, but when I got the car back, I was told it failed and the light was on. He provided me with an "code." I was told to bring it back to re-smog it when the issue was taken care of... and I would have to pay another $40.00. I left having bad feeling in my stomach, and the entire exchange felt wrong; something was off. Good thing I listened to that feeling because I took it to another vendor, and it passed. They mentioned that it took them a little longer because they saw it had failed elsewhere but the codes used did not apply to my car. They had several technicians look at it, and they all agreed that none of those applied and my car passed without an issue. Too bad I can't add photos or I would add the fail from them, and the pass from the other vendor on the same day. read more

The man helping was super nice! Service was quick and affordable! Overall I had a really good experience.

I randomly chose Horizon Smog as I was driving by on my way home. Amin was my service tech. When I walked in there was an irate customer, not Amin's fault, and Amin handled them with respect and civility. So I stayed and Im happy I did. Amin smoked my car, we had a laugh, and the irate customer apologized for their behavior and thanked Amin for his kindness. Smog checks are usually a quick in and out business where there isn't much time to get to know your tech. Im glad I had this opportunity. Thanks Amin for being AMAZING!!! Want great service. Come here to Horizon, ask for Amin. read more

They were great! Super fast, very nice and it was simple! I would recommend them highly

Fast and efficient! Location is easy to find. Next time, I will check to see if they have a discount coupon read more

I've been going to the Horizan on Marrysville for aleast the last 6 years 2 cars. took my 1997 Checky Suburband in 2025 and it didnt get the test completed because of a $3 valve and a new battary. Guy told me to drive 100 miles, repalce the valve and bring back to test. For some reason the marrysville location has been closed. They told to go to the one on West El Camino. After getting there I realized the I forgot to put the valve on that was in theback set of the truck. I told the technician I had the peice and I forgot to pit on and he said dont worry about. Then he failed my Smog inspection for the Valve. Complete POS idiot. Had to pay to get a entire new inspection some where else. read more

I've been here 2 years in a row. Their service is very quick and at an affordable price! Check this place out.

Hamza is a great Smog tech. Always my go to place for smog checks, always quick and never a hassle.

Definitely recommend! The gentleman that helped me was really nice, once he warmed up a bit. A smile and kind words went a long way! If you mention the online coupon, it's quite a good deal too. I went on a Friday morning and there was no wait! read more

I've taken all my cars here for the past six years, always an easy service. This last time my car passed the electronic check, but a visual inspection he said I needed a new intake manifold because it was cracked. Honestly the crack looked more like a tiny scratch. Took it to another smog shop, passed just fine. Won't go back here anymore. read more

I only go to this place for smog and take all of my children's cars, my friend's cars and my mother's car. They have the best prices in town. They're always very helpful and quick and I can't say enough. They're the best monk place in Sacramento. read more

what can I say they did their job and they did it fast. Service was patient and professional

Make sure you read the small print about suv's. Theres nothing "sport" or "utility" about my wifes crappy Gmc Terrain but yet it was subject to a $8 upcharge. On the brightside the gentleman doing the smogs was very nice so Ill probably return :) read more

Took my Jeep Cherokee in for the bi-annual smog test. I take extermely good care of my vechicle and have never failed a smog test in the 10 years that I have had my Jeep. I guess that's why I was surprised that they failed it. He told me that I had a "leaking PVC Hose" & that I had "Black Smoke" out the exhaust pipe. Asked him to show me the leaking hose, it wasn't even a hose, it was the throttle cable. And as for the blcak smoke, I don't know what car wouldn't blow smoke when you rev the engine the way he did. I knew that he didn't know what he was doing, so I took my jeep to Smog1 in Roseville the very next day and passed with no problems! Never again will I go here!!! read more

I went to get a smog for a 1994 pickup. The attendant did not know what he was doing. He did not do a test. He told me I needed some extensive work first. I took it somewhere else the same day and passed. He was also rude. read more

I had a great experience, and he was very kind to me! I was his first customer at 8:30am, he started the smog around 8:45am, as he had to set up the shop/paperwork for the smog, and I was out of there by 8:53am! Highly recommend this shop! read more

The service received from Anatoly was top notch. He was professional and friendly. I came when it was super hot, but the office was cool to sit while waiting for the testing to be completed. I would highly recommend going here. Great service at a great price with friendly employees read more

Was completely terrified to use the El Camino location because of some of the reviews. Thankfully it wasn't too bad. The man that helped me had no customer service skills but I do respect his efficiency. My car went in and came out a couple of minutes later, not too bad read more

This place fails smog check for no reason very rude my truck passed on every single test he continued to search for a reason to fail my truck couldn't find one so made up that it had blue smoke passed fine at next smog shop I went to confirming he took my $$ and fail my truck for no reason at all if you have $ to throw away then OK to go here but if you legitimately are just needing to get a smog check to renew your registration don't waste time or your hard working $$ to this place why would someone take advantage of ppl who work use power they have owning a business that he obviously don't want to run cause he is very miserable and grouchy as if it's a problem that you go to get your car or truck smogged he is old should get someone else to run this business run it right treat ppl who are paying customers fair I will never ever go near this business again won't be looked down on an unhappy old man karma will take care of this old man so I only speaking on facts went to next smog shop in different area and had no problem with passing my smog check I feel bad for other ppl who he has got paid failed them for no reason not right at all. Close this place down not providing the service that it's supposed to bad business read more

This place was pretty packed when I went in on 12/31/2018. The entrance to the office is in the back, it's a little confusing. The receptionist was very friendly and before I paid for my smog, before they even ran the smog I showed her a coupon I saw online. (The coupon is attached) and I asked if I was able to use it. She said yes, but when she rang me up she said "oh shoot, i didn't ask about the coupon so I won't be able to apply it" I was like, um okay? Although I said the receptionist was friendly, she was sort of all over the place. Maybe because it was busy? But at one point she was smoking a cigarette right in front of the office. Like she didn't even step to the side, she was literally in front of the glass door lol. I was there 30 mins tops. They were quick. read more

Horizon Smog - Coupon - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Sacramento, California

Place is a joke, after waiting for a smog test, the tech got confrontational and started putting words in my mouth, I have been coming here for years never have I been treated as bad as today, he said you can call BAR I have a right to refuse service, the car didn't fail smog he just didn't like the cars alteration, went to another shop and got it passed. AVOID like the plague. I ended up going to Express Smog Pros on Fulton & Arden those guys rock and of course Car passed with flying colors. read more

Fast and friendly service, the owner is very personable. Great location took a walk while my SUV was being moved, I passed :))

This was the worst smog experience i ever had. The man who help us was so irritated that we came 25 mins before they closed that he gave us nothing but attitude. The car didnt pass smog n the only explaination he gave me was srive 100-150 miles then bring it back n try again. He tried to overcharge me even though i had recieved a quote before i came out there. He didnt tell me that i had to replace some parts to be able to pass smog.. Never again would i ever go here. read more

I tried to give them a chance to take my car in for smog on numerous times and days of the week since they are very close to me but they are ALWAYS CLOSED at this location. So when I called the number here the person said the smog guy is always sick or out. WTF? Seriously why not just shut the place down and remove the smog ad if you are not going to be open for business? He apologized and told me to drive way far to Citrus Heights for smog lol. read more

Just got my pickup smog checked here. The attendant was nice and professional, the paperwork was straightforward, and the service was fast! The waiting room was minimal and there was a few flies buzzing about, probably because the room was open to the outside, but the service was so prompt that I didn't spend much time there. My easiest smog check experience ever. read more

Great service. Professional and very polite to all his customers. Used my coupon, and received a good price. The technician, also showed me something that needed to be taken care of that had nothing to do with the Smog test. Well, that's what I call going above and beyond! read more

I was hestitant due to the price... but called and was told 38 out the door. I walked in and no wait at all. Got in, passed and was done in 10 minutes. Person that helped me was very nice and knew what he was going. I guess it depends on the type of smog you need. There are other places that charge more. Due to the type that you need. I would return here if I needed to. read more

I wouldn't recommend going to this place for a smog check. I called them TWICE for price quotes... both times I was told $38.20 out the door. I showed up and had to wait for over 30 minutes before the "tech" even acknowledged that I was sitting in his office. When he finally asked for my DMV paper work he told me it was going to cost $58.20! I asked him why he quoted me so much less on the phone BOTH times I called and he simply acted like he had no idea what I was talking about... I walked out and took my vehicle to Tail Pipes Smog down the road and I would definitely recommend that place. Don't waste your time with this joke of a "business." read more
